Really really needed a 90 min deep tissue massage after 4-5 months of neglecting care... as a restaurant server, I had SO much built up tension in my shoulders and all over my back. Found this place on Groupon last night & called for availability immediately... I was lucky enough to be able to come this morning to be taken care of by Diana! (they do get busy in the afternoons). Diana comes with 25-30 years of experience, and said her skill and passion was passed down through her family. Just tell her where you're feeling pain, and she'll take care of the rest. She put hot towels on me throughout my massage to melt the tension away. She put special focus on areas that were my tightest. After my 90 min massage my muscles are not fully loose, but Diana helped significantly and I will be back soon for more! The only thing I'll say is, I felt a little pressured to tip higher than I initially offered for the great service I received... I did not take it personally though, as I am used to honest communication like this in Asian culture. read more

I purchased a massage and facial package through Groupon as a birthday gift for my mom. When we arrived, the staff didn't remember our appointment and told me my Groupon code was invalid. After much confusion, we were seen--but it was by far the most unprofessional experience I've ever had. The massage therapist climbed on top of the table and crawled all over me--not relaxing at all, and extremely uncomfortable. The woman doing the "facial" used baby wipes on my face and then slapped on a mask. That's not a facial. What disturbed me even more was how the women were dressed--tiny skirts, very revealing outfits--it felt like something inappropriate might also be going on at this place. After the service, we were aggressively pressured into tipping, and the staff got visibly upset when we hesitated. I left feeling uneasy, ripped off, and disappointed. Definitely not worth the $89 per person. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I've reported this experience to Groupon and hope they take it seriously. read more

Then my massage was exactly what I needed especially since my body has been sore. Lisa did medium to deep massage for my back. Medium for my legs and was perfect for what I needed. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I was hoping I'd get an amazing experience as this is my first time getting massage in San diego. When I went inside, the bells rang so loud and there was a lady standing in the hallway - however NO ONE came in front to entertain me as a customer. I waited at least 5 minutes. then a lady who came from the outside went inside and started helping me. She asked me to pay upfront and that the Credit Card Processing Fee is FIVE dollars!! I've never had any single store charge THAT much. it almost felt like a SCAM. she also told me to PAY FOR TIP NOW and that the minimum is TWENTY dollars. I asked her can I pay the tip after? and then she said we would have to charge you another 5 dollars for credit processing fee. I mean i don't mind paying TIPS before getting a service IF I already know the person who's massaging me. but damn.... WHO does that?? NOW while I was getting a massage, my masseuse was ANSWERING PHONE CALLS!!!!! and this leaves her with one nonpurposeful hand doing a "massage". And while she was "massaging" my neck, she placed her phone next to my head and I could feel her PHONE VIBRATE every time she gets a message. and guess what? Very unprofessional. Its a rub and tug joint. If you're into that. Very, Very, VERY dirty. Looks like there are cum stains on the wall. The lady that did my massage did not seem to know what she was doing. When i said no to their service, she rushed my massage. Afterwards as i was changing, she goes into the room and gives me my water and started to fix the table i was on... she DID NOT even change the sheets... she just flattened it out and made it look new. I was properly draped the entire time and the massage was professionally done. And the room was very clean. The only negative would be that very little, if any, English is spoken. Came to Miramar Relax Spa by chance because my boyfriend & I were in the area. We both chose the 60 minute massage which costs $60 which is average for the area. Totally more intimate than I expected - like they get extremely personal. I would advise if you are someone who gets uncomfortable easily to not go to this place because like I said they aren't scared to get close! And there is a strong language barrier like majority of these massage places. Overall we were both extremely happy with both of our massages - these women are very great at what they do. Okay, I just left Miramar Relax Spa. I went in at 11:45 AM for a massage, because it's my lunch time I could only do 45min. I was not disappointed. My Masseuse was small of statue but, very strong and very knowledgeable. She focused on my traps, upper back, middle back and lower back just what I needed. in fact everything she did was fantastic. I recently had hip surgery and she worked on me without hurting me...and I was getting the hard/deep massage. Ak3e her to do more work on my right shoulder.
