Both the RN and Dr. Miranda were very nice and kind through the process. They made sure my medical exam was completed in a caring manner :)

This is a health center that deals with a LOT of patients. They're busy. I'm okay with that. I'm…read morenot looking for a warm, fuzzy medical experience like one might get from a hometown doctor or dentist. People that want that experience need to go to their hometown doctor or dentist. Considering the work load they're under, they are as courteous as can be expected. One reviewer lamented being referred to a specialist because their child needed some extra care. They need to understand that extra care is what specialists...er...specialize in. The care providers here want to get you stabilized, addressed or treated, and out the door. Let's cut them some slack and focus on the stated goal. Save picking a prize out of the treasure box for the smaller, family practices.

I've been going to the health center for years and I'm honestly besides myself with this…read moreexperience. I had a LOVELY primary until last summer when she left PHC, I was then matched with a new primary; Von Ferguson. Well, Von is apparently and I quote from someone I spoke on the phone with yesterday "too busy" to refill my high priority prescription. And was told to call back when she got back into office that afternoon, so I did and she still didn't fill it. Today was my FOURTH time calling (not to mention the messages I sent through myChart) over the span of multiple days and finally had someone reach out to her medical assistant. The three previous people didn't even mention contacting her medical assistant. However I was still told I'd have to wait for her to come in... I have a lot of patience and sympathy for our healthcare workers, but this is unacceptable. They should consider themselves lucky that the medication I ran out of and have now been withdrawing from doesn't have more serious withdrawal side effects like some of my other medications do. I literally asked one of the women I spoke with on the phone yesterday what I'd be expected to do if this had been my SSRI or what would happen if I was an individual who was diabetic and needed insulin and she said she'd "send another message marked as high priority". That's the solution they gave me! I guess they don't realize the risks in abruptly stopping a medication, which is even more concerning! I haven't even had the "pleasure" of having a face to face interaction with this Doctor (although it sounds like she's probably too busy) and I will NEVER deal with her again. I will be asking to be re-assigned to a different primary care physician. I love petaluma heath center and would recommend it, but I would NOT recommend seeing Von Ferguson based off this single situation.

Well let's see this whole organization is currupt as can be. And I'm a healthcare provider. They…read morelie to the California department of managed care, they share info without a release of information. They would rather you die in the street than get the care you need. Utter garbage. They had my last review removed but I won't stop. These people only care about one thing. $$. If you have health conditions you can either join a group or shut up. And you have a complain ? Good luck! I been waiting since October to get the health care I need it's now Feb 20th! They literally do not care one bit about you or anyone in your life. How they have not been shut down by now is beyond me. The Comcast/Xfinity of healthcare.

A truly sad story …read more.. My ex-wife manipulated a doctor at the San Rafael office (Dr. Carte) into writing and giving her a letter of recommendation to have my parental rights removed. Which the court sadly granted. My son has a string of behavioral issues that need addressing, but instead of acknowledging them, my ex-wife claims the issues are special needs-related. She's been able to convince several doctors at Kaiser that drugs are the answer. The problem with drugs is that they can be used to obscure the real cause of an issue, creating misleading symptoms of their own. So, not only is my young son on prescribed drugs that may not be benefiting him, he's been in 7-8 different schools (he hasn't even reached middle school yet), all in the same area. He gets pulled from school because his mother and the school aren't on the same page. This is problematic because it's detrimental to his social skills. Furthermore, my ex-wife has been asking Dr Mangiardi in Petaluma to edit past notes. For example, at one point, my son violently killed a small animal, and Dr Carte noted this as 'violent behavior'. My ex-wife then asked Dr Mangiardi to rewrite the notes, claiming Dr Carte writes very poor and incorrect notes. Shockingly, Dr Mangiardi seemingly made the updates without hesitation. The result is a skewed viewpoint. Sadly, I no longer see my children, partially due to Kaiser. Lastly, Kaiser is unwilling to do anything about all this, except for maybe send me a boilerplate statement, stating 'we're here to help'.
