Somehow, Sutter managed to hide one in plain sight. Dr. Gonzalez Huerta is smart, efficient, straightforward, and refreshingly free of nonsense. He comes prepared, listens carefully, asks good questions, and gets to the point without making you feel rushed. What sets him apart is that he actually thinks. He does not seem trapped by checklists or autopilot medicine. He takes information in, synthesizes it, and exercises judgment. That sounds like it should be normal, but anyone who has spent time navigating the healthcare system knows it isn't. He is also respectful and collaborative. If you question why all the blood work (nearly every three months), he will not explain and just have his staff (his wife) call you do inform you that this Dr. has cut you from the practice. Blood work every three months to tell me I need to take vitamins which, by the way, he sells. And will sell you expired vitamins but tell you they are okay to take. Also, if you have any physical concerns he will not look at it directly. Has ZERO interest. He will simply suggest a local whatever Dr. No referral. You are given a business card to call said other Dr. (This was a simple foot issue which did not require said other Dr. - specialist - but ended up having to WAIT over a month to get into other Dr. - specialist who told me I could have had Dr. Lozanov deal with it).

My prior allergy doc discussed procedure with me to have the remaining 2 years of my shots at new location and how to transfer my vials for my shots. (He says this is common as people relocate.) FamilyCare Allergy said they would accept NOTHING from my previous doc. I would have to start all over again with skin testing and start my allergy shots from zero. Not only is this poor care, there is NO WAY my insurance would pay for the retesting and to repeat a year of shots!

She waited over two months for the appointment and since it's an allergist's office she felt there should at least be some allergy testing, which was not done. Just a dismissive "if you find out let me know." Really? Total waste of time and money.
