We came with no reservation (at about 8:45pm) on Sunday and had no wait to get seated, but it had definitely filled up by the time we were done. I ordered the Ojo de Bife (ribeye) and asked for it Rare (Vuelta y Vuelta) and the pescetarian g/f ordered the Spinach and Ricotta Raviolis with Cream Sauce. Rare is not too common an order in Argentina so the waiter asked and re-asked (coming back maybe 4 different times) to confirm my desired doneness "Vuelta y vuelta?" while making quick hissing noises showing how little time the steak would be grilled. His level of concern was cute. Really average. This spot was in the Lonely Planet guide for Buenos Aires and recommend by others so we had high hopes for it. Like most of the restaurants on Fitz Roy, it's trendy, crowded, and open late. The food was okay. The gnocchis were definitely above average in comparison to other places that we went to but the waffle was meh. The asado was also average. Las Cabras is the better choice if asado is what you're looking for. The staff is... odd. My friend and I split the gnocchi and a dessert waffle and various members of the staff came up to us and commented on who we are and what we ordered. We were debating if this had anything to do with the fact that we were Americans but on the other hand, it's not like we were behaving strangely. It was overall a strange yet average experience. Unlike other places in BA where we would want to sit with some wine and enjoy our meal, we just wanted to be in and out as soon as possible. Three stars. Great service, perfectly cooked steak (upon the recommendation from our waitress, we changed our order) paired with great wine, also recommended. What a disappointment. First I will be kind and begin with the good things, location and restaurant is nicely decorated. Now the bad, service! What service? I was appalled with the lack of it. No personality, no smile, it was literally what would you like to eat and bye. Maybe because in Argentina tipping is not customary so service suffers but it was very poor service! Now what made it worse besides service was the food. I ordered entrana also known as flank steak it was like a gummy sponge with no taste. I was chewing and I could not eat it. Miranda is a really nice restaurant. The service was good and the food also. I ate raviolis with ricotta and spinach and in addition to that a white sauce with mushrooms and white wine. The raviolis hadn't actually much taste but they were okay and sauce was very good. I also ordered an apple pie with a vanilla ice cream and cinnamon : it was delicious! read more

For the first real parrillera we went to, this was pretty good. It is in a really cute part of Palermo, and the decor is cool. We ordered two glasses of red wine (very good selection), the Antonia salad (that thing is enormous and delicious), a blood sausage, the lomo (filet mignon), and a bowl of mixed fried potatoes. It was a ton of food (leftovers for tomorrow!), and the beef was so good and tender. Service was fine. We really liked it and look forward to trying out some other places for comparison! read more

Ah, I had such high hopes for my namesake restaurant. Miranda has good food, but after the last two incredible meals at Don Julio and Carniceria (highly recommend both), it did not meet expectations. We had mediocre service and the preparation of the food did not do the fabulous Argentinian beef justice. I don't have a lot of good things to say about Miranda. They have the same fare as every other restaurant (expensive or cheap) in Buenos Aires. The atmosphere is not as "trendy" as other Yelpers say--maybe if you're trying to trend up TGIFridays--but really just a normal, big restaurant. Service was below average. Steaks were below average (for Buenos Aires), but the salad with roasted vegetables exceeded expectations. Oh, and it was more expensive (and lower quality) than anywhere else we had eaten, including Don Julio and Carniceria. read more

I love this restaurant. I've been going since 2013, at least once a month. Great food, great portions, great drinks and a great location. If you're getting there after 9 PM, make sure you reserve a table. On some nights, it can take 15-30 minutes to get a table between 9 PM and midnight. American standards for service cannot be applied in Argentina. At Miranda, they'll take your order, bring you your food and whatever else 100 times more efficiently than most restaurants in Buenos Aires. I have no problem with that, and that's good service in Argentina. read more
