The greedy side of me wants to leave a hideous review just so I can keep this gem all to myself. This place is phenomenal! I advise you make an appointment and plan to spend a while here, it is totally worth it. Most places are quick in their treatments so they can get the next customer in, even spa treatments can be rushed and a smell of nail polish remover and cloying scents permeate the air. The atmosphere a bit shadowed by the clutter of several chairs crammed together to maximize the number of clients at a time as well as the grunginess from the large number of people going in and out of the salons. Not this place! Miranda's has a small staff and they'll do everything they can so you are able to relax and be pampered. The shop is spotless and plenty of space is given between the seats for those seeking a haircut or receiving a Pedicure. The design and layout of the store is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and maximizes comfort. Once here, this is where that "spend a while here" plays into effect. They take their time so the treatment is done right and as painlessly as possible. No rushing to squeeze in more customers for more money. Country music plays in the background, just loud enough to be heard and soft enough to not be a barrage to the senses. During your treatment, they'll offer refreshments such as water, soda, or even something for a more sophisticated palette. Everything here is about keeping you, the customer, relaxed and pampered for your visit. Again, I'm severely tempted to leave a disastrous review for my own selfishness, but the staff and this little gem in the desert should be shared and this review posted. America is THE BEST! I have challenging hair (thin, but a lot of it, and insanely curly). America has been giving me the best color, cuts, and blowouts of my life for about a year now. (Seriously - not exaggerating!) The salon is super cute and comfortable. The entire atmosphere is inviting and laid back, and America is super easy and fun to chat with while she works her magic. Just not for me. It took FOREVER to receive a call back for an appointment. The stylist was VERY nice once I finally booked. She was running late because she had to run an errand (getting supplies I think -- not a biggie). But my hair ? was cut at an angle. I always keep my feet uncrossed so I'm not sure how that happened. I was in town for work and really needed a cut and color. I found this place on Yelp. I'm so glad I ignored the 1 Star review that's on here. Their loss. I love this place. Miranda really knows hair and does an amazing job. The staff is very nice and the place is SUPER CLEAN. They even bring you a drink while you're getting your hair or nails done (wine, coffee, tea, water). Yes, I said wine. I loved my experience so much that I'll be back. I'm in El Paso once a month for work and I booked my next appointment before I left for the next time I'm in town. Give this place a shot and you'll be very glad you did. read more

Everything was five star from the time I walked in the door. Miranda is an amazing human being, not only a top notch hair stylist. She asked lots of questions and gave me her opinion. I was impressed by her attention to detail. This just might be my best haircut ever ( I am just a shade over 65...so I have had lots of haircuts.)!! She was very attentive...even taking a picture of my current cut, to show me how she thought it needed to be changed. She is smart and intuitive...she knew exactly what to do. I think an honest review makes the best review. I came into Miranda's for a cut and color and when I left I wasn't 100% pleased with my color. It wasn't bad, it's just not really what I wanted. My hair was styled beautifully when I left that I didn't notice my cut. When I showered and straightened my hair at the end of the day, I was sorely surprised. My layers were so harsh and blunt, It was really bad. BUT, I called up and asked to speak with Miranda, she told me to come right back in (which by the way they had just closed) and she fixed my cut. She did an amazing job of fixing the cut and I was so appreciative of how fast acting she was to make it better. She's an awesome lady and she is even taking me back in this week to fix my highlights as well to make it what I wanted. Thank you Miranda for your kindness and professionalism. I don't feel the need to name who originally cut my hair, she is a sweet girl and I feel like she is still new to the trade and learning. I was in town for a week and decided to take my grandma to cheer her up and give her something she could easily maintain. Miranda was AMAZING! She was able to accommodate us fairly short notice and did everything to make my grandma feel comfortable and beautiful. She played Juan Gabriel, perfected her hair color/cut, and just showed her so much respect. My grandma was glowing afterward and couldn't say enough kind things about her. Ive been searching for a great place to get a haircut, and omg this place is amazing there's only 2 lady's that work there and they are very welcoming. Ive been to very expensive places and none have felt so welcoming and just felt like we have been friends for a long time. Not to mention the haircut and style is totally worth it, plus a drink. They really really do take their time and recheck and recheck to make sure the haircut is perfect. I wanted to get my nails done, and the price seemed a little steep at $45 but if they do nails the way they do hair then ill be getting my nails done there and wont mind paying. read more
