I was a regular here for yearssss. But I wanted to warn others who might be used to the same version of Mirch Masala I was used to. So sad to have to find another Indian place in town. I'm not sure what changed but something is very very different in the kitchen. The vegetable samosas have a much thinner pastry and it's oily. The vegetable filling is straight mush with no texture. You only get the brown dipping sauce. (The meat - beef - ones are no longer on the menu.) The tikka masala was BRIGHT orange and lacked developed spice profile and I thought was the consistency of soup - until I got to the BRIGHT yellow lentil soup (which lacked lentils almost entirely - I would've thought they were grits if I didn't know) which was the consistency of water. So the curry is like soup, but the soup is actually like water. So. There baingan bharta was also void of developed spices - I only got heat. And it seemed like it was put in a soup blender. It was the consistency of baby food. The mango custard was the consistency of water. But my sister said her biryani rice was ok - but there barely any chicken. But thank god the cheese/garlic naan is still good. I hate giving bad reviews. This pained me. But I just don't want anyone else used to their old menu/cooking to think it's still the same. read more

I'm so sad. This was my go to for Indian. My bestie and I would come here 2-3 times a month. The last 4 times I've been here, including today, was so disappointing. 4 potato dishes, no variety! I loved the Pakora and now they just put out potato pancake things. They had an amazing Eggplant dish and an Okra dish. Haven't seen those or the Pakora in months! The Tika Masala was good, not great. Tasted watered down. I had to add lots of seasonings at my table. The ladies room is gross. If you want clean restaurant and great food, spend a bit more money and go to Turmeric. They don't have a buffet, but the portions are huge and can be shared. So bummed! read more

3.5 stars. I ordered a garlic naan, mixed veggie curry, chicken jalfrezi and chicken biryani. Quantities are decent. Food is ok. The curry of the mixed vegetable and the jalfrezi tasted more or less the same. The garlic naan was decent sized but I would've liked more garlic and butter on it. It was a little dry. The biryani was nice at the time of eating but two days later, instead of getting better in taste as the spices have continued to marinate, it's gotten a little dry. Still better than biryani down here in Pueblo. So overall, not too bad but not mind blown either. read more

We went to Mirch Masala in a Tuesday evening shortly after it opened. Lots of open tables and very friendly and attentive-yet not overbearing-staff. We ordered the onion bhaji appetizer and they were tasty and a big portion. The onion is sliced, mixed with a light batter and fried. It's not over-battered, and it's tasty. My husband ordered the lamb karahi. It was phenomenal! Tasty, not salty, the lamb cooked perfectly. It was moist and tender. The fish madras, however tasty with a nice kick (ordered medium spice), had fish bites that were dry and chewy. That was the only disappointment of the evening. I have been wanting to try the lunch buffet since I came here for dinner quite a while back and I finally made it. First of all, I am not a buffet girl. The idea of eating stale food that's been sitting out with slop all over the counters just doesn't appeal to me, so for me to give a buffet five stars is really saying something. I got here at about quarter after 11, so very early for lunch, but the food was super fresh and everything I ate was really good. There is no naan bread at the buffet, but they bring hot buttered fresh bread to your table. And I had to eat every last piece because who can resist that?? Delish. If I was nitpicking, the only two things that I would critique would be 1) the spice level is fairly mild, but I expect that since it was buffet, and 2) The three meat dishes at lunch were all chicken and were dry. They use white meat chicken, so a plus for not being fatty, but even the tandoori chicken was dry. Not enough for me to knock them down to star, because again, this was a buffet So it's a little different than ordering straight off the menu. There were several veggie options, and desserts, but I was way too stuffed to even try the dessert. There were two people working with customers and both spoke perfect English unlike my last visit, so there was no language barrier this time. This place is really good. I see some negative reviews on here, but I'm comparing this to every Indian food place I've ever tried and it was solid. Better than solid. Whether you eat buffet, or come for dinner and pay off of the full price menu, I don't think you will be disappointed. read more

We've eaten here one other time for dinner where we ordered off the menu. Tonight, we came for dinner on one of their Dinner Buffet nights (Sunday and Thursday). We used a Groupon as well. The girl who greeted us was pleasant. The gentleman that waited on us spoke perfect English and was also pleasant. We asked for water and headed to the buffet. We started out with small salads. The lettuce was fresh, as was the cucumber. I saw only one dressing - ranch. I also added some of that tomato relish like stuff to my salad, Simple salad but nice. We went back to get our first plates of food. So many choices on the dinner buffet. Two of our favorites were the Chicken Tikki Masala and the Eggplant dish (like a mushy casserole - so good!). There were at least 5 meat dishes on the dinner buffet. As we sat down with our dinner plates, the girl working the dining room brought some fresh and hot Naan. This was included in the $16.99 buffet dinner cost. We went back to the buffet for our favorites and by the end, we were SO full. Great meal and great deal with the Groupon. I am not wild about buffets in general because sometimes the food sits in hot dishes for long periods and the food changes taste for the worst. Mirch Masala's buffet is constantly being replenished from the kitchen so the food tastes fresh. The pulau rice is fragrant and the curries mild but tasty. The vegetarian curries are very good. Honestly if I could give this place a 0 star I would. The waiter was rude and was no help at all when questions were being asked, so we were basically forced to choose the buffet. While eating the buffet the food was not fresh and the chicken tika did not have any flavor. Honestly the only good part of the meal was the naan. After one of the people in my party complaint that chicken was raw the waiter had said: oh don't worry then, you guys are good in the sense of not paying. We still left a tip because we felt bad for not paying and while we were getting in our car one of the cook came out with a huge attitude and upset. One thing is having bad communication within your staff but what you don't do is switch your mine after you state something. So the chef got the whole attitude she was giving me. Very mediocre Indian restaurant!! My other half and I travel all over the states and eat from Indian restaurants every time, but our experience last night was not very pleasant. The customer service was the worst we've ever had within the last 3 weeks and 9 other Indian restaurants we have been to. The food was good besides the papad was not very fresh as it was cold. Ambiance was a bit dark and dry and the server/manager was very short with us on our questions (the one with glasses). However the Mirch Masala in Atlanta that we go to 3-4 times a week is amazing....needless to say this one does not compare. read more
