First the place is eclectic has outdoor even had a yurt you can eat in. The service was very good attentive when needed and very helpful with questions. The food is fantastic I got the shrimp count soup add the twist made it a ramen bowl and it was awesome. My wife had the pork chop ramen was good but the pork chop was very salty.Only thing that we could pick on. Highly recommend all the food looked awesome.

The food was amazing. And I consider myself a foodie and a good cook so standards are high.

This was recommended by my cousin before my visit to Colorado. She had given me a list of places to eat, I was going to try 3 off those from the list, I decided i skip this eventually. However, when I went to other restaurants that I went from that list and asked what they recommend that I try.........all of them mentioned Shugas!! When your competition is recommending this spot...you just get grated. Do it even need to say more? I was just stuffed, I still made a stop for a drink and I loved it!! Service was great and definitely has an unique character with a phone booth and outside seating.

Bruschetta Toast (4 Pieces)

Came here with a few work colleagues and had a great time. Sat outside in the climate controlled tent (there's a name for it) and it made for an intimate atmosphere. Servers were extremely nice and checked on us often, food and drinks came out pretty quick. Only had a light bite, but the bruschetta was great. Tomatoes and basil were fresh and if they put the whole baguette in front of me I could have eaten it. And then some. Wish it had a little more salt and maybe a balsamic glaze but overall it hit the spot!

I decided on this place because I wanted sandwiches, something light. I had no idea what it looked like or anything. This place was so well designed, it was really a pleasant and very welcoming atmosphere. And this place was PACKED!!. We sat at the bar. Watching the bar tender do his thing and making his drinks, how all the staff maneuver around without being in each other's way, was quite intriguing! I ordered the "Rufus stole the chicken, too" and the creamy asparagus soup (seasonal), with a Spanish coffee. The coffee was really really good and the presentation was very nice! The soup and sandwich came out and the soup was heavenly!! The soup was the best soup I've ever had!! I ordered a cup, but I should have ordered a bowl! I inhaled it! I'd never had this type of soup and wow.. just wow!!! The sandwich was also delicious! I seen a couple order a 2-part drink, and found out it was coconut cold brew with coconut cream. That drink was extremely good as well! It even came with coconut crisps! Everything I ordered here was amazing!!! This was a great way to start our day! I really want to go back!

Montreal Village

This spot was a random choice between my friend and I visiting from out of town, but we were so glad we made that choice. Shuga's was delicious for both food and's drink options (alcoholic and non). I'd gladly come back for these tasty sandwiches and drinks. I got the Montreal Village sandwich, and though I wished the peppered honey was a little stronger, the Brie cheese was melty and salty which balanced the sweetness from the apples, honey, and ham. The café was cozy inside and the servers were some of the friendliest. I can see why it's been around for over 20 years.

Asparagus soup and Stanton St. sandwich

I don't know a soup and sandwich can be so magical, but Shuga's figured it out! The asparagus soup was probably the best soup I've ever had. I don't know how but it is! I tried to recreate it at home but I couldn't make it as great as this. The sandwich was also really good! Pistachio, garlic, porchetta, mozzarella, basil scallion butter... what's not to love? It was balanced and actually quite filling! Everything came out super fast and our server was very nice. I loved the outdoor seating area--it was so quaint and cutely decorated! I would love to come back for drinks and to sit at the bar. It just feels comforting inside. My friend and I will definitely be back soon!

Let's start with the pros: -Tasty food -Friendly service -Fun atmosphere The cons: -Very small portions -Long wait time for food -Yurt was colder than outside

Moroccan Shrimp soup with focaccia specialties.
Don G.

The Moroccan shrimp soup arrived steaming, rich and fragrant in a way that felt less like a flavor and more like a memory. The shrimp were small and tender, sweet against the gentle heat of the broth, and the depth of it made you pause mid-spoonful. It tasted like a conversation you didn't know you'd been missing--familiar, comforting, and quietly intense. I hadn't had anything like it since a winter years ago, when an old friend and I ducked into this place to escape the cold and ordered the same soup without looking at the menu. Life scattered us eventually, as it does. Sitting here now, the steam rising into my face, I could almost hear their voice in the clink of the spoon against the bowl, could almost believe we were back at that table, two people pretending the future wasn't already rearranging us. The soup had layers: warmth, sweetness, a low, comforting depth that lingered longer than expected. It reminded me that some flavors don't fade--they settle in, waiting to be tasted again. That's the thing about memory: it shows up when you aren't looking for it, stirs something you thought you'd already digested. The server asked if everything was okay. I nodded, because the soup was excellent--balanced, soulful, deeply satisfying. What I didn't say was that it also carried a strange echo. That old friend never did like shrimp. They said it tasted like secrets pulled from the sea. Funny what comes back to you in a good broth. Some friendships end with distance. Some end with a bowl of soup you can never quite taste the same way again.

Bruschetta Toast (per Piece)

I've been wanting to try this place out for a bit! They had a lot of cocktail and drink options, a good amount of their snacking options too. You can definitely tell the ingredients are very fresh so I enjoyed that a lot. The tomato bruschetta was very tasty and light. The grape one was high quality too but just wasn't for my tastes (I'd still recommend trying it). Cute little place too, just very loud when busy. Super nice people working here. The menu is limited but they're a small bites place anyways. They had a lot seafood options

The spicy Brazilian influenced soup was yummy and with added ramen, it reminded me so much of Kao Soi noodle soup in northern Thailand. Will definitely come back again to try other drinks and other salads.

Sugars has the best spicy Brazilian shrimp soup in town! Everything that I've ever eaten at this restaurant has been full of flavor and perfectly cooked. This place gets very busy, just an fyi. They have seating inside and during the summer they have seating outside, which is wonderful to enjoy as they have umbrella to shield you from the sun. If you're looking for a local spot with fantastic food that's full of flavor. I highly recommend Shugas!

I tried the cold brew and it was stellar. The service was friendly as well. For food, I ordered the Cuban sandwich. It came out after about 10 minutes and it was HUGE. You order at the counter and then get a number to put at your table. There is a lot of seating, but I can imagine it fills up quickly on busy days. I ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte, which was ready very quickly. It was perfect. Our food took a very long time to arrive. I appreciate that the staff kept me updated that our order was still being worked on, but it took almost 50 minutes for our two items to arrive. They did offer us a coupon to use in the future for the trouble. We ordered the falafel and the chicken tenders. The falafel was very good, but I wish it came with more pita. This was a great lunch that filled me up without being too heavy. The chicken tenders were not great, and the chicken basically slid out of the breading as soon as my husband took a bite. I really liked the vibes of this spot, and even though there was a long wait, I appreciated the kindness of the staff when updating me about my order. We would not order the chicken tenders again, but I would love to try other things on the menu.

Figured I'd go before the farmers market across the street in Acacia Park. I got the bookworm latte and it was so good. I was worried it would be too sweet (it was a little sweet), but the brown sugar cinnamon syrup they make really balanced it out. It was so good. It was creamy, dreamy, and the caramel was decadent. I didn't get any food--just the coffee unfortunately, but I do plan on coming back! $7.25 (I think) for a latte is a bit pricey, but the drink is really good. So if you're gonna spend a bit extra, go there for a coffee instead of Starbucks. Service was quick for a long line and the hanging plants and lights made for such a great vibe.
