It is as much fun for people watching as it is for bargain hunting. Buying toilet paper? you can save like $4. Fluidmaster kit? $3 off. Not even kidding. At first you think look at this junk, but then you find a gem, YOUR gem. And then you want to find more. You will spend at least an hour here once you get inside. I bought a gallon of Shell Rotella T6 motor oil for $16 when it costs $23 at "the Walmarts". Boom! My gem. Anyway you get the picture. Naturally Cracker Barrel JUST decided to revamp their store 2 yrs ago and got ride of a lot of southern favorites. Replaced with every old fashion and some never seen here Hard candies. They did keep the cast Iron items, Higher than Walmart On Line. No cookbooks. Clothing for regular sized people not us big 3X ladies. I'm not sure if the person at the counter was new or training but he didn't know if they served hot cocoa. Another staff member taught him how to prepare it and ring it up. She asked if I wanted whipped cream but didn't say it was a $1 up charge which is quite steep for a drink that's only $3.50 or so to start. It was just canned whipped cream so that felt very pricey: the cocoa was average. I also ordered a cheese Danish to go and the employee just opened a box and the lid of the Danish cloche and told me to grab one. I feel like they should use a paper to grab it; I don't like the thought of other customers putting their hands in to choose. I also didn't want to touch my own pastry with my bare hands before washing. It didn't really make me want to return to try a sandwich. I understand that new employees need training, if that was the case. But I do think they should be familiar with what basic beverages are available.

We loved the burritos as did everyone else at the event. Each burrito is stuffed with French fries along with it's unique ingredients. They have both mild and hot salsas to accompany their burritos. They also serve a dish, called the "minimum bet" which is a large order of French fries topped with a white queso cheese. The fries were super crispy and the cheese sauce was spectacular. The serving is definitely enough for 2 and is reasonably priced. And don't pass up on dessert. The "color me up" is 2 warm churros filled with caramel and covered in cinnamon sugar. These were a fantastic way to finish off the meal. We will definitely be following them on Facebook so we can see where they are going to be next. If you see their truck, I definitely suggest trying them out. You won't be disappointed.
