I've ordered from here plenty a few times and I am very pleased. It's never really busy when I come. I usually order ahead because I get the grilled shrimp and it takes a little longer. But the staff is always nice and friendly. The grilled shrimp skewers usually comes with 10 shrimp and they are grilled and seasoned perfectly, not over cooked. I always appreciate the white rice at the bottom which soaks up the seasoning from the shrimp. You can't go wrong with the chaufa rice paired with the shrimp. I have also tried the mixed grill which comes with steak, shrimp, and chicken. I've tried the mixed grill twice and the steak is a little tough. But In generally their food is really good. The chicken was flavorful and the plantains were just right, but the vegetables had a spoiled taste and smell, which was disappointing. Came in because of the enticing odor of roasting chicken. And the food didn't disappoint. Peruvian chicken is moist and with lots of flavor. The fries are bathed in gravy and the rice brings it together. I went for pollo saltado (ONIONS) and while the serving was substantial, I still wanted to go back for seconds. I am surprised by the low rating of this excellent restaurant. I had 1/2 a charbroiled chicken with creamed spinach and fried plantains. My partner had the same with green beans and rice. The chicken was fantastic. The skin was crispy, chicken moist and very flavorful. I love Peruvian chicken and this is cooked over a coal or wood fire. I've eaten at El Gran Pollo and this chicken is better. The plantains were excellent and sweet and the creamed spinach much lighter than usual. My only complaint was that Miski serves Pepsi and not Coke (lol). We ate in and the service was excellent and the employees were very polite. I will come back here again. read more

this is my family's go-to takeout spot -- we have never NOT enjoyed our meal! i love the churrasco de pollo which is basically a thin grilled chicken breast which comes with 2 sides. the 1/4, 1/2, or whole roasted chicken is probably a better deal financially but i'm a creature of habit! the cheesy potatoes are fire but the fried plantains are easily my favorite side. definitely get the white sauce! i've never eaten in the restaurant so i can't speak much on the service but i've always had good experiences at the takeout counter. there is plenty of indoor seating and a large parking lot. read more

Absolutely LOVED the chicken from Miski. (I got a half chicken.) It is SO fresh and well-seasoned. I'm assuming the chicken is brined somehow, because the flavor is not just concentrated in the skin, but goes all the way through, and the meat is perfectly moist. For sides I got sweet plantains and spinach, both of which were wonderful. (However I wouldn't order the spinach to go next time because it's a bit messy/leaky in the bag.) And this review would not be complete without mentioning the green sauce, which would make anything you put it on taste good. And they are very generous with the sauces to boot. Speaking of generosity, the portions are huge at a really reasonable price point. I will surely be craving this chicken until my next visit to the Baltimore area. read more

I came here with my family on a Sunday night and got to try a lot of dishes. The restaurant was pretty quiet -- only one other party dining in and a few people getting takeout. I had the ceviche mixto which has shrimp, little scallops, octopus, and calamari in addition to the fish. The sauce is really good but I wasn't a fan of the fish. It was hard for me to chew and swallow towards the end. The other seafood was decent. The Peruvian corn kernels are really good. The sweet potato was forgettable for me. Overall I wouldn't get this again but the sauce was good. The mixed fried seafood dish was very large. The best part was the fried shrimp but there were only around 3 of those. There was also fried fish fillet (much preferable to the ceviche version), calamari, and scallop. This was a good dish but naturally quite heavy. Good portion size. My brother got the half chicken which he said was pretty average, and another brother got the steak and egg dish. The steak had good flavor/char but was quite tough. The plantains were good. We tried all of the sauces and they were all delicious! Super airy almost tasted whipped and excellent flavor. A joy to dip things into. This restaurant seems to really know their sauces, as that was really the highlight for both the ceviche and everything else. Overall generous portion sizes (but more shrimp please!) and excellent sauces, average meats and fish. If I came back, I would probably get the shrimp kabob dish. read more

It's pretty close to where I work. They have many kabob options such as chicken, beef, and white & dark charbroiled grilled chicken. I like the dark meat so I ordered their qtr dark chicken with two sides. Chicken is extremely tender and juicy. It's very flavorful. I like the smoky texture on the outside. They have plenty of sides to choose from such as plantains, cilantro rice, egg fries rice, beans, and salad. Plantains are my favorite. I actually did not know that plantains were Peruvian food as well cause I thought it was mostly Ghanaian or Nigerian delicacy. Nevertheless, it's delicious. The quantity is good. Generous for the amount you pay which around $9 for 1/4 chicken, and two sides. Kabobs will take at least 15 mins so if you want kabobs then I suggest you to order it online and then when you arrive it should be ready. read more

The food and service were amazing! The 6 adults all were very pleased with their meals. Several of us, including me, got the 1/4 white meat roasted chicken, which was delicious. I got the fresh green beans and potatoes with vegetables as my sides, which were cooked perfectly and delicious. The portions are enormous. I will be having my leftovers for a meal soon. I did not take pictures because I didn't want to take out my cell phone while we were eating. I think it is rude to use cell phones when getting together with friends. Where do I start.... this place could possibly be a restaurant that I would recommend to someone but I have mixed feelings. So I got the lomo saltado, which is basically a peruvian stir fry, and that was great! Loved the flavors of the steak and onions but wasn't a fan of the french fries underneath that. I understand that it is part of the dish, but I wasn't feeling it. I tried a piece of my dad's chicken and that was great! Their meat there is awesome but I think the oiliness of the dish I had really got me. The steak was seasoned to PERFECTION and very tender. The green beans are a must as well as the plantains. It comes out pretty quickly and you're on your way unless you choose to dine in. Been driving past this for years and finally decided to stop and try it. The chicken is really good sauces are good but the business model in how they package the meals is terrible. If you go to have a Peruvian restaurant why would you want rice and french fries? Wouldnt you want yucca and plaitain? You cant do that. Strictly no substitutions. You can add then as sides but now you $15 meal costs $23. Maybe they offer a Deluxe meal with ulyucca and plaitain for $17. Probably wont be back for this reason. Think about your customers. I placed an order "to-go" for a Whole Chicken Meal and Carne Asada meal. When I received my food, the 3 sides of fries I received were worse than "old", it tasted like they had sat the entire day long. The "whole chicken" I received was extremely dry and cooked so long the skin was hardened on it. The only thing accurate was the "Carne Asada" and that is likely because when it is requested, it is cooked at that time. I have called and spoken with management and to my dissatisfaction, I did not even receive a courtesy meal replacement. Not only that, but the manager then tells me that their food is "only served fresh" and that it is impossible for me to receive this type of "problem". Please check your food before leaving this place, they will NEVER get my business again, what a waste of $40!!! read more

Walked in at 10:55 to be told that they don't open until 11:00. The website and google say 10:30. All of this is not a great deal what bothered me was the very unapologetic and rude nature the employee informed me of their opening time. It wasn't a very hospitable approach for a restaurant or any business at that. He even told he couldn't take my order until exactly 11:00 which I found very amusing. Needless to say I will not be returning here even though I have been a loyal customer for over 2 years. He didn't make me feel welcome at this establishment.
