Came here 7 years ago for a fractional laser to remove dark spots. They sold me on the idea to prep my skin with microdermabrasion. The woman was so harsh with the suctioning that she broke several capillaries. I've been walking around with broken capillaries on my face for 7 years and have to cover it with heavy applications of concealers. I'm now looking for doctors in the Newport Beach area who can do bbl or vbeam laser to correct the broken capillaries caused by image spa MD. Don't go here. They'll ruin your face. read more

Before coming in, my skin was a wreck with my hormonal acne and clogged pores. I've had facials at other spas but the aestheticians were not able to do proper extractions for my acne and my skin did not improve. I had my facial with Ivy and she was very thoughtful with giving me tailored recommendations and advice on my skin issues that I never even considered but so far has helped me out. I started going here because of my persistent breakouts and I signed up for their VIP package that comes with 6 facials for 6 months. The microdermabrasion that comes with each session has allowed my skin to breathe and my breakouts are not as bad. Each facial session is relaxing just as a spa; with a facial, shoulder, and arm massage which is great. The estheticians I've had so far (Haifa and Ivy) are fantastic and great at what they do. I recommend Image Spa MD hands down. I was researching places that are affordable but effective for laser hair removal. I met with Cheryl for a consultation regarding pricing and a treatment plan, and had such a great experience. She was knowledgeable, professional and super sweet. I was trying to have treatment done at the time of my consultation, but she explained to me it wasn't in my best interest since I had removed some hair a few days prior with tweezers and she wanted my plan to be effective, which I truly appreciate her looking out for my best interest. After my first treatment, I have noticed such a significant difference in coarseness of the hair that was treated and cannot wait for my additional treatments. In addition to my laser hair removal, I showed interest in some skincare products they sell in the office. To me, it says a lot about a business when they're not pushing products just to make a sale, but take the time to listen, understand and make sure your concerns are addressed and educate you on which skin care will be best for my goals. read more

Luckily found this location on yelp and they got me in within 10 minutes of calling. All the people were super friendly and I am happy with the results. They do take brilliant distinctions but wouldn't let me use the money I had just earned on points for this visit. I have had two other places that have let me use the money the same day. read more

I came here a little over a week ago. It was my first time but I got a Groupon deal so I thought it was worth checking out. I read some reviews from people saying they didn't get their whole allotted time. I was afraid that would happen so I made sure to check the time I came in and the time I left. I got the early to sign some papers, then waited to be seen. I was seen about 20 min late but I got my full hour so I was ok with that. It was pretty easy to schedule the appt for a microdermabrasion. Front desk was really friendly on the phone and in person. The woman who worked on me was really nice and friendly. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I explained to her that it was my first time so she walked me through the process and answered the questions I had for her. When I initially went home, I didn't see any big difference in my face except that it felt super smooth. But a few days later I noticed that my skin was peeling off. .. And some of my acne scars were peeling off! I'm not sure if that's supposed to happen but I'm glad it did because my scars appear lighter now. On top of that, I didn't have any new pimples in my problem area for like a week! What can be improved? I wish she did a more thorough job when she did the extractions, wish I didn't have to wait 20min to get called in, and the head massage was not the greatest. These are a few of the reasons why I didn't give this place 5 stars. Other then that, I like this place! But I wouldn't go without another groupon or some sort of discount because it's pretty expensive. read more

I cannot express how much love I have for this place. I came to see Nurse Nicole after about a year researching for an aesthetic nurse that specializes in natural-looking fillers/injectables. I'm glad I made the decision to see her! She was very personable and knowledgable and didnt pressure me whatsoever for treatments I didn't need. She answered every question and explained everything thoroughly for the consultation. My main concern I came to see her with was my depletion of the under eye volume that I'm starting to see ( I'm in my late 20s) and wanted to start preventative measures to age gracefully. She evened out my cheek bones because one was "falling" and from there restored the area below my eyes. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The volume replacement with restalyne lyft not only gave me back my youthful beautiful cheek bones but also slimmed out my jaw line and small lines around my mouth. So amazing. I bought a Groupon for two microdermabrasion treatments at this place. Its located in a nice little office building with plenty of parking. I guess they cater to a lot of Filipinos because they name drop like I'm supposed to know who the hell they're talking about. Sorry, I don't care about Filipino celebrities, them getting treatments/services there doesn't make me want to buy products/services any more than usual. I could've done without that sale tactic. Even though my Groupon said two microdermabrasion treatments I ended up getting a microdermabrasion and a light chemical peel. I didn't mind that at all though, I was due for a chemical peel anyway. I had a different esthetician each time. Both were pleasant and knowledgeable and both treatments went well BUT the upselling of products/services that they provide throughout the entire 60-minute session was ridiculous. My first appointment went well, got out of there within an hour and 15, but the second appointment OMG, two and a half hours! 45 minutes of talking to me about products, then the 60-minute facial/peel, then another 45 minutes of talking about their products/services. The feeling is comparable to car shopping, and I HATE car shopping. The way they were pushing products/services I'm sure the girls get a percentage of the profits. I know they're just doing their jobs but damn...sometimes a girl just wants to get a facial without someone talking in her ear about why she needs to buy their products/services. I realize Groupon deals is a way for them to introduce their services to new customers but they are too aggressive with it. Even though I did like the treatments provided, I hesitate to return anytime soon because of their pushiness. read more

sitting with my groupon, trying to make an appt. 2 days ago, i sent a request online to have them call me with an appt time. heard nothing back. gonna try giving them a call on day 3, but looks like this is gonna be a groupon refund. i really wish places wouldn't do 2 rounds of groupons and then treat their prepaid clients like crap. i called in on day 3 of waiting, got someone on the phone and made an appt for a "consult". i came early, like i was instructed, the person at the desk was all in surprised and was definitely not expecting me.err, what is the point of making an appt if they don't know who's coming in... i filled out forms, then sat around for 15 minutes while the rest of the office folk walked in. the dr was not there. the consult was on face time...the dr was obviously able to make a great assessment of my skin on a damned iphone ( not even an ipad). the rest of the time was spent trying to upsell me. ugh. i made an appt for the procedure in 2 days and i'm told i need meds stat...so they tell me it's gonna be called into the pharmacy and i should pick up when the pharmacy has it ready. waited, and waited and waited then called the office a lil before closing time and i'm told that the dr is unreachable...no script was called in. err, when i asked why no one called to update me i got a great load of angry indignation. huh? if this med is so important and my procedure depends on me having it...shouldn't i be updated if there is a delay in case my procedure needs to be delayed? wow. maybe it's just my fault for expecting professional, competent, polite, and prompt service. i guess it's better to just drive further to a real med spa --i recommend Oh!u beauty in glendale. read more

Just had a Pixel Perfect treatment on Saturday. So happy with the results. The downtime is about 4 days but follow all of the instructions. Get hydrated, get a microdermabrasion two weeks before you go, sleep partially inclined, wash with a diluted vinegar mix and use the hydrocortisone to ensure an excellent result. read more

I have been coming to this medical spa for over two years and they have seriously transformed my skin. I have always struggled with acne and acne marks since I was a teen. Haifa is the esthetician I see on a monthly basis. She is great. My skin is so much clearer and brighter. The facial treatments I have received are microdermabrasion, flawless facial (aka silk peel facial), chemical peels, microneedling + PRP. The microneedling +prp are great for treating pitted acne marks and I have seen the best results with this treatment. Their prices are great, cheaper than other medical spas in the area. I love this place! It's beautifully decorated and filled with amazing staff members. From reception to sales, to consultants, to estheticians, and RN's, everyone I've met is super nice, friendly, and enjoys making conversation. I've been coming here with my mom since March and I've enjoyed every appointment. I've had treatments such as the microdermabrasion/cleansing facials, underarm laser hair removal, and a few gluta treatments as well. For facials, I highly recommend Ivy! I've tried three different estheticians, but she is my favorite one by far. She is gentle with your face and always considerate of every step of the facial. Ivy also engages in genuine conversation and gives great advice on skin maintenance, which allows for a comfortable facial experience. She also does facials for my little brother. And for my underarm laser hair removal and gluta treatments, Eric was the RN that did them for me. He is really amazing and is very gentle when it comes to the treatments where you may experience a little more pain than the regular facial. Eric also likes to engage in genuine conversation and is funny in my opinion :) He always walks me through the process of the treatment being done so that I know what I should expect. I recommend him for treatments as well! I've also used a wide range of skin care products which are seriously like nothing else. I've always struggled with breakouts and hyperpigmentation, but after using the products given to me, my skin has really transformed.
