Two of the pieces I chose from her Available section on instagram (@misskittytattoo), and the half sleeve I came to her with an idea and trusted her to use her artistic eye and go wild. I love all three of the tattoos I've received from Kat, and not only is the work quality, but Kat makes the entire process feel luxe. Her shop itself has the coolest decor, and you can tell that she takes great pride in her space. She also makes sure that you know how to care for your tattoos afterwards in the healing process, and even gives you a goody bag to take home with aftercare. She is a true artist, and is very involved in the Jerome art scene. She has theme nights once a month, and puts in great effort to lift up other artists and businesses in her community. She also is so personable that sitting for a 6 hour tattoo feels like the time flies because there's great conversation and ease to being around Kat and her shop. Yes, Jerome may be a bit far out to get to, but it is worth the trip 10 times over to get a wearable piece of art from Kat.

He allowed me the space to feel ready, he comforted me when I said I was nervous or scared, he actively consulted his beautiful wife and business partner Emily so that I had the expertise of both of them in my tattoo! He had no ego, only gentleness and an attentive ear! He spoke with respect of the previous artist and simply listened and guided me thru the additions I was considering. He understood exactly what I wanted, was honest yet respetful as we went. He allowed my best friend to sit with me throughout the process and keep my mind distracted as he created a design that I did not think was possible. I walked in rather impulsively, just curious about a modification, but truly did not think a fix was possible without a massive redo and he proved me wrong. I told him that I regretted the tattoo placement I had previously because every time I turned my forearm I cringed it how it looked. I told him I wanted simple, feminine, butterflies, and flow...I wanted a cute peakaboo that I could still enjoy out of my sleeve. I wanted the piece to look good when I twisted my arm while I drove! I was treated with compassion and respect by Dusty who earnestly listened to my stories about my BIL, who he was to me and why I chose the art I wanted him to do. I had a truly wonderful experience at ARTery tattoo and with Jeremia, my tattoo artist. This was my…read morefirst tattoo and it was something I had been dreaming about for quite a long while. But it was also something I was nervous about. Jeremia was so patient, really listened to me, and designed an amazing octopus that covered a large portion of my right calf. The tattoo itself was complicated and took hours to finish. Jeremiah made sure I was comfortable the whole time and checked in on me throughout. The whole experience was incredible. Everyone else at in the shop was also welcoming and the team at ARTery have succeeded in creating a unique and inclusive space. As for the tattoo itself. It's fabulous! Amazing! Unique and as weird and beautiful as I had hoped it would be. Everyone I have shown it to loves it and remarks on Jeremia's artistic talent. Most importantly, I LOVE it! When I mentioned to a well tatted barista the other day that I had gotten my first tattoo, and told him about ARTery and Jeremiah, he said he knew her work and that, "Jeremia is the best tattoo artist in the valley." If you are in Flagstaff, Sedona, Cornville, Cottonwood, Prescott, or Camp Verde (or Phoenix even) you should get your tattoo at ARTery!
