I visited Whitestone eyelash with almost a good amount of 4D-6D lashes left on my eyes (done at another salon). Their lash removal process was very quick, painless, and efficient. The male technician did a great job on not damaging my natural lashes. They charged me $20 for the removal which was very fair because I had quite a few lashes left. If you had less lashes, I believe the charge would be different. The male technician put silk lashes on me. J-curl, size 11, natural look per my request. He did a great job. It was quick, and he was gentle. Some lash places will rest their hand on your forehead while they apply lashes, but this technician was very gentle and I was comfortable the whole time. I've had mink lashes done for a long time, so initially I was hesitant to see my silk lashes. I felt like they were too light, and not dark enough but after sitting with it at home, I realized that my lashes feel very light on my eyes and I do like the job he did. There are a lot of harsh reviews on this business, but I think its due to the fact that there may be a language barrier. The technicians speak English, but there was one technician that translated what each customer wanted to the other technicians. I encourage you to try this place! I was worried at first but I'm really impressed by how gentle my technician was. I will definitely be making another appointment. Recommendations - If you like darker lash colors that make you look like you're wearing mascara, stick with mink lashes! Silk lashes are lighter in color. If you opt for silk lashes, you can get a longer size and maybe a cat eye for the wisp effect. My lashes are currently the natural look, j-curl size 11. Next time I will get the cat eye look, j curl size 12.

Bless Lash is located in a plaza amongst a bunch of other stores but it was still easy to find. There's street parking and some parking spots in the plaza. I made an appointment for Thursday morning at 10am and was greeted by Hanna who was so welcoming and friendly. The place was extremely clean and smelled really nice inside. The atmosphere was so relaxing because of the music selection and how comfy the beds are. Hanna made sure I was comfortable before starting and even put a blanket over me. Unlike other lash places, this place has a leg rest for your feet which helped to eliminate any discomfort from laying flat on your back. And the best part?! They even have a massage option!! I opted for the 13mm, d curl, cat eye style and Hanna got right to work and finished in under an hour! When she was done she showed me how to brush out my lashes and gave me a zip lock baggie that contained care information and a lash brush. I am obsessed with how my lashes turned out and happy to have found my go-to spot for my lashes! 10/10 would recommend!

I decided on trying out Fay Lashes since it was only a 2-block walk from my apartment. I was thrilled after my first appointment for a new set, they really went above and beyond in making sure the style was exactly what I wanted and took care in giving me soft and voluminous lashes. Unfortunately, every other appointment over the next 6 months was a disappointment. At first, I expressed to them that the long inner corners were uncomfortable and poking my eyes, and requested they be shortened but they told me I had to buy a brand new set if I wanted that done - which, as you all know, is much more expensive than a routine fill appointment. Second, once you're done they make you hold the fan to dry the glue yourself and basically try to rush you out the door even if your eyes are still tearing from the fumes. Third, I started noticing that they began to use fewer but larger clusters of lashes at every fill, which creates the illusion of volume but leaves obvious gapping when one falls out a few days later from being too heavy for my natural lashes. It got so out of hand that I would be "done" in only 15 minutes when I know full well that a normal 3-week follow-up appointment takes at least 45 mins to an hour when applied correctly. I did not appreciate the shortcuts they were taking, so I took my business elsewhere.
