Jo was my nail tech and she did an amazing job - it was one of those fancier places that take care of your cuticles and give you a hand massage + hot towels after. They make sure each client is satisfied and happy! She spent a long time on my cuticles and never hurt me once, which doesn't happen a lot with my usual nail techs. She was patient even when I changed my nail colour a few times after the colour combo didn't turn out as I thought. She made sure I was happy with each step as she asked me if everything was okay every time she added a colour or layer. She also did an amazing job - she put the gel so close to the cuticles and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I think they can do subtle patterns and stuff too, but they have a large colour selection. Steven was gentle and weilded his tools well but did not do a good job applying my color. I didn't really care, but my daughter's hands were torn up. I've been going with Vicky and she's very good! Although I get simple colours only, I've also seen her nail art and she's very creative and artistic. The salon itself is so cute and they have Netflix going and wifi for you if you need. I find my phones reception is a bit spotty so I use their wifi. The only complaint I have is not their fault but parking can be tough when there isn't much but you can park on the street at the houses across too. Their booking system is so quick and easy- always have appointments at any time of any day. I love the flexibility! I usually get the $55 gel overlay. There is a cash discount so bring cash! Having found many top notch nail salons in the downtown Toronto area, I was crossing my fingers that this salon would meet the standard. Happy to report that it definitely raised the bar. I saw another Yelper's freehand french manicure / glitter ombre design and requested to have that done on my nails. Rebecca was a pro and took the time to make my nails and the design look perfect. The Shellac polish and design was painted just above my cuticle to maximize longevity of my nails. This is something that is hard to find at most of the nail salons that I have been to. The ladies here are all very skilled and take the time to understand your preferences. My nails ended up turning out great and I received a ton of compliments on them from my friends. The price was extremely reasonable. For such a intricate design (this took over an hour to slowly freehand) it was only $40 before tax and tip. I will definitely be back and recommend this salon to anyone who is looking for a great manicure at a great price!
