Similar experience to everyone else in the reviews. The older woman was rude and seemingly racist towards my cousins that entered the store looking for skincare - to the point where when one of my cousins was trying to try one of the testers, she rushed over to him, took it out of his hands, and instead tried to put it on him herself. She then pointed to another side of the store and suggested he would find things he liked more over there - the cheaper side of the store. She said this to my cousin who knows more about skincare and owns more expensive products than the rest of us. On top of that, we were with with another cousin from overseas. This store owner is rude! I was coming in to see what kind of gift i can buy for my mother, the lady kept pestering me about what i was specifically looking for and i kept saying that im not sure what im looking for and that i would like to browse first. While browsing she kept saying that this is a makeup store and i looked around saw a plethora of SKIN CARE items and said "isnt this skin care???" Which she said "no! This is makeup!" It was giving "if you arent gonna buy anything leave!!" Which is not true! As i stated before i was looking for a gift! I was still trying to look around because i said maybe shes just speaking like that because shes having a bad day, but she clearly didnt want my business!!! The store has many lovely items, I'm such a big fan of all the plushies that are in the store, especially rilakkuma! But the lady (pretty sure the owner) made me and my bf feel really uncomfortable. My mother-in-law and I decided to visit this shop after having lunch yesterday. We've never been in here before and I can for a fact say, we will NOT be coming back. Ever. As soon as we walked in, we were meet with an older korean lady who did nothing but grunt and huff at us the whole time. Asked her how her afternoon was, we were met with a glare and with nothing to say. We brushed it off and continued to walk around the store. We were looking at the stationary items, only for the employee to walk up to my mother-in-law, with hands on her hips, staring us down like we've stolen something. After a few minutes went by (awkward), we turned to her and asked her for the price on one of her items, she snatched the item out of my mother-in-law's hands and threw it back at her with a rude "it's $10!!" response. The last straw for us was when we were just about to leave, the employee runs ahead of us and stands outside her store, holding a mop in her hand, grunting and staring us down. I've shopped at many asian stores in my lifetime, never had I had to deal with someone this hostile. I was absolutely appalled by this behavior. We decided to leave and as we walked out, the lady uttered something rude to us in korean and closed the shop door. It was only 3pm on a Saturday, so it's not like we we're staying past closing hours. I'm not sure what she was about to do with that mop, but she was gripping it in a way that seemed pretty aggressive lol. Not only will I avoid this place in the future, but I will definitely let others know to avoid this place as well. From my personal experience, my mother-in-law and I run a business and we deal with customers everyday. Seriously, take your money elsewhere. Customers should NOT be treated this way. I'm unsure why there is any stars higher than 1. Perhaps they had a different store attendant than the Korean woman with the short curly perm. When we walked in she was light heartedly talking to a white woman but as soon as she saw myself, my two cousins, niece & brother she kept watch on us. She quickly approached my cousins and I after she was finished speaking with the other customer. She hollered to us "don't touch anything if you want anything I will get it." Today was an unlucky experience which made us decide we will NEVER EVER go back to that store anymore - why? because of this OLD SHORT CURLY-HAIRED KOREAN WOMAN around 68+, working there, who should not work in the United States if she will be as racist as she is to non-Korean customers! If the shade of your skin is not as white as a white paper, you enter the store and you see her manning it, then, run, run away like there's a serial killer behind you! We were there for 20 seconds and we looked at this Missha Bb tester and we were gonna check its color on our skin. Before we ever touched the tester, we were spooked by a voice coming from 10 feet yelling at us "No, no, no, no, don't touch, too light! too light for you!" with her arm gesture shooing us away . There were no other customers at the store. Ok. 1st, her tone is not the let-me-help-you-with-the-proper-shade but more like you're-not-white-enough-to-use-korean-products-so-just-go-away (mind you we are fair-skinned Asians too). 2nd, granted that shade we're looking at is too light for us, well, could she help us and suggest the proper shade? 3rd, what if we really want to buy a lighter shade as a gift for a friend with a lighter skin, that's not allowed? you can't purchase for someone else? 4th, what if we really want to buy a lighter shade because we just want to pretend we're geishas or whatever from time to time, that's none of her business. I swear this lady is racist. The lady in the store was so rude. When we walked in there were people leaving and they looked upset. As soon as we walked in she gave us an attitude. She ask what we wanted and I told her we were just looking. I wanted to look at the whole store before we got to the makeup. Was quickly approached by the attendant and was told not to touch anything. Go for the makeup products but don't expect high quality customer service. The makeup products never disappoint. I use their SPF face lotion and my sisters love their BB creams. The service has always been average at best. The store recently expanded to sell accessories and stuffed animals which I found odd. I usually get my Korean skincare on Amazon, but seeing the actually store got me kind of excited! They had 2 sales going on. The whole store was 30% off and they had a clearance area with expired makeup products for 40% off. Some of the 30% stuff was about to expire within a year. The owner said that the makeup should still be good after it expires, but I had trouble hearing how much longer it would be ok for. I was a bit disturbed about the products that were already expired, those should have been 80% off. It's a small place, but very tidy. There's testers for all of the products, which is always nice. The owner/Korean lady is very helpful and cute even though her English may be limited. I ended up getting the MISSHA matte bb cream because I have combination skin and it's getting warmer. It feels a bit thick, but the color match worked well with my Asian yellow skin and it blended ok with a beauty blender. I think I like the regular BB cream in the dark red packaging better. read more

I couldn't wait to come on Yelp to leave a review. It's sad to see that there are negative reviews of people not having the same fabulous experience that I had. Today I went into Missha with the hopes of only buying a couple of sheet masks and well almost $200 later, I am so happy with my purchases. I wish I would have asked her name but the only one at the store was an older lady with short voluminous hair, beautiful skin, and gave me the impression that she was the owner. Well she was so helpful and kind to me! She recommended me products based on what I was looking to target. I almost bought Cle De Peau eye cream online yesterday for the price of all of my purchases today and I'm so glad I didn't and asked her for some guidance. I ended up purchasing an eye cream, lifting serum, sheet masks, and sunscreen. She allowed me to browse and take my time shopping and she'd come over if I needed help. She had a couple of customers come in and assisted all of us, giving us all the same amount of attention. I also got some samples with my purchase. I love this store and I already know I will be back! Do NOT go here if you are Asian but not Korean. The old Korean lady with short curly hair that works there or most likely is the owner, is racist and seems to hate non-Korean Asian people. When my friend and I first came in, she was super friendly to me. All smiles and everything and spoke to me in Korean. When I smiled and told her I'm sorry, I don't speak Korean, then her whole attitude changed. She became very pushy and aggressive. I was actually interested in buying a night cream but her attitude made me really uncomfortable so I told my friend we should leave. As soon as we opened the door to leave, she grabbed the door and slammed it shut and when I turned back to look, she stood at the door glaring at me. That lady definitely has some issues for sure. For the cushion foundation and concealer (the two products I purchased), they put the same cushion pad that's in the tester directly on my face and for the concealer, they put the concealer pen directly on my friend's face. How many people have used those??? As far as associates go, it's just like Korea and the associates will follow you around and hover next to you. It's annoying but that is the Korean style. 3.5 stars It's MISSHA, in real life! You can test out the BB creams and actually find your skin's match, instead of guessing from an online swatch! This location has most of MISSHA's more popular products, from their BB creams and cushions, to their Time Revolution line. I didn't see MISSHA sunblock, but I might have missed it in my quest to find a sampler size bottle of FTE (btw, they don't make those). When I visited, there was a sale rack with 50% off expired/expiring makeup. It may seem sketchy to some, but I bought a tube of BB cream off it for $7, and there's no noticeable difference in quality. The sales lady was very helpful, but I had to approach her and ask for help with the BB creams. She didn't really put out a greeting vibe when I entered the store. Still, she was helpful while I was trying to figure out my MISSHA shade, which was especially welcome since a lot of their tester cushions were dried out. Also, the lighting in the store isn't great for color-matching cosmetics to skin, which was a reason for a star getting knocked off. You may want to step outside in natural lighting and snap a selfie to see if you actually are a No. 23 Yellow Beige. Prices are more expensive than ordering the products online, but you're supporting local business!
