This is THE place to go to for all things underrated. Forget about popular places like Daiso and Miniso for the little things or collectible figures. Teso Life is the best place to find a great variety of cute collectibles, beauty products, snacks and more! This is a review long overdue; I've been to Teso many times before, with my first few times way back when it first opened and they had photos of the store thiefs printed and posted on their front door (it always gave me a chuckle, but I think for legality purposes they had to take those photos down RIP). Ironically it was because of those photos that caught my interest to check out Teso, because it was reminiscent of the kind of public shaming behavior I'd see within Asian communities haha. I enjoy treating myself in Teso when I can; they have a huge selection of Chinese Lays, Japanese gummies, childhood favorites like Calbee and Meiji. Huge selection of drinks too, and endless rows of beauty products ranging from hair styling, coloring, mascara, facial masks, etc all packaged in a very aesthetic layout, and you'd know anything you get is going to be good. I've gotten good quality home sandals here too, and enjoy the soft serve ice cream options in their refrigerated areas. read more

4.5/5 I definitely had a good time. I wouldn't say it was great though, I got followed in the store by an employee as I was filling up my hand cart. It rubbed me the wrong way but I struck up a conversation with her and got useful information about the store and products. I feel like I showed the employee a good lesson in kindness and perception. This store is located right in the heart of the Carrollton Asian shopping district, surrounded by so many other great spots, making it a perfect addition to a day of shopping. Even though the store was very crowded and busy, it stayed incredibly well-organized. You can tell the staff works hard to keep the shelves stocked and neat. The entire place was spotless and very clean, which made browsing all the unique Japanese products a great experience. ​ The checkout process was smooth. My cashier, Enya, was very friendly and professional. She was a bit on the quiet side, but super efficient and kind while handling my items. ​ If you love Japanese snacks, high-quality beauty products, or just want to explore a cool new shop, this is the place to go. I like this Teso Life more than the one I've visited in GA. This store seems to have more items I enjoy. There were so many snacks and candies I wanted to try. I wasn't impressed by the stationary area but other areas in the store made up for it. The beauty area is also full of goodies. The staff was helpful and answered all of my questions. This location even has a frequent shopper program. Only downfall is it only works in the Dallas Fort Worth area. I was looking for Asian skincare while my trip to Dallas and heard of teso life, thankfully from my hotel it was a 15min drive and decided to go! I was not disappointed I fell in love with everything. The had so much skincare and makeup from Japan, Korea, and China. As well as food, toys, anime, house stuff. A bit of everything. The staff was so helpful and so knowledgeable when it came to all my questions and they really recommend me great stuff that I am so happy I bought. Such a cute place but it gets extremely busy on the weekends, long lines. It is well stocked and has so many things to choose from. I would say the photo booth inside does not work, we paid and it gave us an error and never refunded the money so just be careful. There are also claw machines inside. read more

Such a fun place to go. Every time I go it's a new experience. There are claw machines by the entrance with stuffed animals that take tokens. It's 2 tokens a per play and each token costs $1. next up are these cute mystery figurines. You pick a theme, buy a box and you never know what you get. There is an extensive beauty selection. There was this one set I had to keep buying over and over because I could not get enough. Now I have to visit multiple versions of this place. This place has so many cute and cool little things. They are imported goods from Asia including food, makeup, hair products, toys, drinks, trinkets and so many of these are specialty items that you can't really find anywhere easily unless you go online maybe. Some things that I get here are sunscreen, lotion, hair mask, ice cream .. yeah I know it's random. If you want a quick trip through an Asian store but a lot of bang for your buck for the amount of walking you have to do then this is your place. They have so many cool things all crammed into one space (not that it feels cramped at all whatsoever) then this is seriously the best bet. Only downside is parking is a nightmare in this plaza. The employees here aren't particularly nice but they're not mean either so I'm not complaining. Make sure to check out all the toy crane/claw machines in the front!
