I came here because I've read that it's one of the very few K-Beauty stores in the area that doesn't shoo male customers away. It's a small store that gets cramped. Whenever I am in the area, I stop in for face masks. They have an awesome selection of face masks, right by the door. The shop is small, but bright and clean. The customer service is very hands off, so of you like to just peruse around, you're welcome to. If you are looking for a lot of information, you may not find it from an associate. I have eczema and do not use anything with fragrance, so I can't tell you a lot about their skincare lines, but I have never had any problems with any of the masks. The sales lady never came from behind the register and wasn't very helpful. She misunderstood me when I said I was traveling and couldn't bring home the size bottles they sold because of the once requirements of TSA. She told me they don't do travel sizes. I don't want a travel size I wanted a big size but couldn't bring it home. I did a quick once over of the items available but quickly lost my interest and was disappointed. My wife bought a product from here on June 9th and went home to open it and it had already been used/opened. We didn't think to have to check it since it was "new" in box. We went back in the next day, June 10th not even 24hrs later and they said their policy doesn't allow returns since it was open. Stopped in after lunch @ Omi Korean for a quick look. A friend wanted to see about how to brighten her skin like many Korean women she's seen. It's not a very large store but the set up is fantastic. It's an all white background and the sales associate Young was great. She answered all our questions and we left with a bag of goodies. I bought a bunch of masks ($2 and 20% off - WIN). They have a "membership" type program that is free but only works per location so my cousin said there was one in Houston so I opted to wait and go to the one in Houston. I'm totally excited about trying the masks and their other products (Young gave me some samples to try) Overall, it was a great experience. This might be my next favorite store. read more

People reeaaallly reallly like this place. I'm slowly replacing my Shiseido and Clarins skincare duo team (for example, $90 night cream, $60 skin oil... argh, I'm embarrassed just typing it). Some of the Korean beauty products bought in person or online have proved to be just as good, at a fraction of the price. I've only been a couple times and Korean customer service is all over the place. And by all over the place, I mean unapproachable to aloof. Don't get me wrong, I totally "get" Korean customer service, but the reviews here had me looking forward to personalized customer service. Bwahahahaha!... No. The first time I went, the shop was empty and the beautiful sales associate spent most of the time primping in a mirror. Girl, you already look perfect. Please come over here and help me pick a cleanser. She said "they're all good." Uhhh. Then I saw CC cream and didn't know wtf it was and was interested in it. I had to bring her over. FYI, my skin shade is the absolute darkest it come in (three shades: milk white, yellow porcelain, and me, halfie White-Asian). No skin suggestions or anything, but she tossed in a few samples, so that was cool. She didn't offer us the rewards card, and didn't honor the Yelp check-in ("free mask with spending over $10"-- I spent over $70). She said that they were out at the time and the manager was going to get some. Went again today. The sales associate (different one) offered us a Rewards card this time, but no samples. She wouldn't honor the Yelp check-in bonus ("that promotion is over") either, so that was odd. I checked my receipt-- if I had been able to enroll in the rewards program (so definitely ask, people!) I would've had $5 off my purchase already. Grrr. I'll keep coming back, but lowering my expectations each time. read more

I've been here many times before and it's almost always busy or it starts to get busy so I'll just go straight to what I know and buy it. I've never had a personalized experience trying the different products or about the reward program until last week. I happened to walk in kind of early during the day and during a weekday so I was the only customer there. Ashley helped choose the correct concealer after discovering from the leftover​ bit of my concealer that I was wearing a darker shade. Also, the concealer I had been buying was recently discontinued. I also found out that my skin is actually dry, not combination skin like I thought. I spent $62.24 on the Mango Seed toner and the moisturizing emulsion which were on sale as buy one get the other half off. Along with my CC Cooling cushion which came in a cute Winnie the Pooh compact. I also received a free full-size​ Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam which is awesome. I ended up saving $35.50+ during this last trip. It's been less than a week since my last visit but I can tell a difference in my skin. My acne is less crazy and my skin is looking better. Had a great experience here tonight. I went in to buy their rice water bright cleansing water and ended up spending nearly $100. However, the sales girl gave me two extra items (full size mind you, not sample size) and there was a discount on the rice water products. I walked out happy as a clam. And can't wait to try all my new products. A great stop to check out The Face Shop products. I'm sensitive to product smells so I like to play around with testers prior to purchase. The workers here aren't pushy like some other Korean beauty stores. They ask if you need help and if you don't, they don't hover or bother you. The store was very clean and organized. There were a few people in here when I was but it wasn't crowded, despite it being a smaller space. They had a sale section and a bunch of sample applicators to use for different products. I actually didn't make a purchase so I'm not sure if they'll work with you on price. But definitely check if out if you're into K beauty products. It's right next to H Mart and Omi. read more

When it comes to Korean cosmetics, I am an expert. After spending a year abroad in South Korea trying all sorts of makeup brands, I can confidently say that The Face Shop is one of my favorites with some of the best pricing as well as the best quality. When it comes to pricing, of course the prices here in the states will cost more than what they did back in South Korea. However, the prices aren't too marked up. In Korea, one of their nail polishes would only set you back 1,000 won ($1 USD) and when it was on sale, it'd only cost 500 won (50 cents USD). So for $2 per polish, The Face Shop prices aren't too bad. Some of my favorite products from The Face Shop consist of their concealer, nail polish, mango seed moisturizer, animal themed hand creams, strawberry body cream, face masks, waterproof eyeliner, waterproof mascara, facial sunscreen, makeup remover wipes and their perfumes. The Face Shop is famous for their concealer and mango seed products. Although The Face Shop here Dallas doesn't offer all the products The Face Shop has in South Korea, there are quite a few things you can pick up with ease. Their natural BB cream is only $10 and for the price, it has great coverage. The golden rule about Korean beauty products is that you HAVE to try them out. Squirt a little moisturizer on your hands and see if the texture is what you like or dislike. Try out some BB cream on your hand and see if it blends out enough to your liking. A lot of these products aren't reviewed as easily as products from Sephora or Ulta are so try and try again before you purchase! The Face Shop products tended to be very gentle and not cause me to break out in the least. The tricky part about their BB creams is that sometimes they can be too light for us darker American girls. My solution to this was to mix BB cream with moisturizer for a light dewy complexion and then a little bit of pressed powder on top sometimes mixed with a little bronzer to match my skin tone. I definitely recommend the products from The Face Shop and I think it's great that they have a store here in Dallas now. I could have been a dragon, panda or a wild cat, but then I was intrigued about the facial products. I became concerned about wrinkles and black heads. Staring at all the flawless Korean faces, I started asking my friend questions about what to do about this. She called over the Face Shop lady who helped me find products suited to my needs and facial experience (haha if you get it). I left with toner, moisturizer, night cream, eye shadows (40% off, they always have sales), and BB cream. Total of $100, which isn't a lot but if you're buying the top of the line products, which I have to ease my way into, you're looking at spending $200. But totally worth it. This store has everything you would need! I love their foot masks which help get rid of calluses! I also love their white jewel peeling gel. It peels the dead skin cells off right away and you can see it. I was immediately greeted but then wasn't helped in my venture. I've heard about The Face Shop through different blogs and shows, but I've never really had the opportunity other products [i've tried one of their face masks once]. I decided to go into the store and see what I could find. Before I even walked in, I was greeted with a poster with Kim Hyun Joong on the front. Nice touch, Face Shop. As I walked in, I noticed that the store was clean, well organized and I was immediately greeted with a couple of "Hello!"'s. One of the staff personally came up to me and asked me if I needed any help and notified of the specials that they were having. While browsing through the store, the staff continued to check and see if there was anything that I needed. They also answered the questions that I had. I bought a few face masks and a face wash. Now that I know the products that they carry, I will come back and try a few others. Here's a tip: If you check in at The Face Shop, there is an offer for a free face mask! Make sure you check in! I love popping into this store, although I'm guilty of window shopping half of the time. It's nice, being able to have the option to purchase some Asian cosmetics without waiting for it in the mail and not being able to test it on the back of hands to make sure shade matches. Note though if you've never tried Korean cosmetics, they run fair and dewy. You'll be lucky if you have three shades in one specific product. In the summer, I'm usually too tan for these products. I love love this shop. They have really nice skin care products that you can try at the store, or even request a sample to test out. I enjoy the smell and feel of the mango seed moisturizer for the eyes. I use it before I go to sleep and when after cleansing my face in the morning. I have noticed a difference in keeping my eyes refreshed and awake. It smooths out the baggy tired eyes which helps prep the area for make up application. Prices for the products are fair and most definitely test them out before purchase. But even if you are not completely happy after purchase, the sales associates can help you and exchange. I LOVE The Face Shop. This is where I get all my beauty care products, especially for my face. Everyone has a distinct skin type so the daily routine I use may not be the most optimal for others. It's all about trial and error. Nonetheless, the workers here are always nice and willing to help find products that best suits your needs. This store has any Korean beauty product you could ever ask for -- makeup, masks, brushes, lotion, cream, perfume, cologne, oil blotting paper, etc. It can get a little overwhelming, but you can always ask for help if you have any questions or concerns. Be sure to always ask for samples after you check-out! Personally, I'm always on the lookout for new products and these little samples are perfect for trying new things. I would also highly recommend getting a card -- you can accumulate points and get nice discounts. CAUTION: A lot of the $2 masks at The Face Shop have paraben, which is a chemical that has been commonly found in breast tissue and breast cancer. Purchase at your discretion. read more

Buyers beware! Shady sales techniques, bad products, and horrible customer service. you might not get the product shown to you in the tester ... DONT SHOP HERE I tested Wrinkle Stop Abyssine Eye Cream at The Face Shop (Dallas, TX) and really liked the product, which was delicate and creamy. Once I went home and tried to use the product, I found that it was hard, waxy, lumpy, and I could not spread it onto my eyes. I took it back the next day and the representative told me she couldn not grant me a refund, despite the fact that the tester out on the store and the product i bought were clearly not the same product. The product within testers should be the exact same product that is inside the jar that is bought. If I've paid for a product to be creamy, as in the test jar, then that's what i should get. The product was on sale, and I'm pretty sure it was on sale because it was old, which explains why it was so hard and waxy. Firstly, old products should be pulled from the shelves and thrown away, not sold at a discounted price. Secondly, I never asked for a sale product (I made a mistake of trusting the sales rep's recommendations), and I would rather pay full price and get a non defective product than have to waste my time and money driving back and forth to a store with horrible sales practices. This was a DEFECTIVE PRODUCT, it was NOT the same product as in the tester, and I should have been given a full refund. I am completely dissatisfied and will never shop here again. I love the Face Shop products, but I'm disappointed with the customer service at this store. I have been there a few times, and in general the sales associates were fairly polite and quiet. The last time I came there was quite different though... I was the only shopper there at the time, and I believe there were 2-3 people working. However, no one greeted me, and they just kept talking to each other. I don't really mind that, but a few minutes later a woman walked in, and they greeted her immediately. So I was just ignored :/ I kept walking around, and the sales associates seemed to be gossiping to each other... Sometimes they just stared at me and I think they were even talking about me? I was extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. I wanted to purchase something but I was too anxious to approach the counter at that point, so I just left. I visited this place once before with a friend but decided to come back since I heard good things about their products, especially for people with sensitive skin, and I know that Korean beauty products have a strong reputation for being both gentle and effective. I came here this weekend and took my time in browsing all the offerings, especially the famous Rice Water Bright cleansing oils. Young, who was working at the cashier and the only employee I saw in the store, was extra helpful in answering my questions and recommending the right products for my (mostly) oily skin. (Fun fact: the Rice Water Bright line has a cleansing foam, light oil, regular oil, and a cream type. The first two are for oily complexions, especially the foam for people who don't like the feel of oil on their skin. The last two are for people with normal to dry skin types.) I didn't end up buying the cleansing oils but made a note to come back for them when it becomes time to replace my cleanser with the 2 step cleansing routine. I did end up buying the Sebum Control sunscreen/moisturizer after help from Young in recommending which sun protectant was right for me. It was $25 but worth it since I am getting worried about not having any sun protection for my face since I stopped using any for over a year. All the products have pleasing packaging and nice smells. Depending on your preference, you may find the smells overpowering, but I find them very soothing and mood-lifters. Definitely, I recommend this place. read more

Such a cute place with friendly service. Not to mention the products. The Face Shop has almost anything you could want in terms of cosmetics and skincare. I have quite a few of their products so it would take forever to review everything here, but one of my favorite things about this store is the refillable makeup. I have the Face It Aura CC Cream. Initially it is pretty expensive, but the store sells refills for about half as much. I use some of the scrubs and peeling products, which are lovely too. The only reason The Face Shop does not get 5 stars from me is the very limited shade range when it comes to the makeup. My sister can't buy makeup from here because every shade is too light for her. The pricing really depends. Some things are affordable, like some of their nail polish and blotting paper, but the BB creams, CC Creams, and foundations can be a bit pricey. Otherwise, The Face Shop is a super cute cosmetics store that offers tons of amazing products, and I have been happy with everything I have purchased from them. read more
