Honestly, the few one star reviews among the plethora of 4 and 5 star reviews are almost comical. I do the majority of my own work on all of my vehicles and have an excellent understanding of parts pricing and labor requirements, but when its a job I just can't, (drop a tranny) or maybe just don't want to do, (rear main seal)... I bring my vehicles to Manni, (sorry if I spelled your name incorrectly Manni). I have given many other shops a chance to work on my auto's, and have never gone back. I'm sure there are a bunch I haven't been to that are top notch, but Mission Automotive is a shop I have come back to time after time. I see people talking about price, if you had any idea of the markup restaurants put on the food they serve, the taxes on the price of gasoline.... every business is in business to make money, period. The difference is the quality of the work performed, the standards of practice adhered to and the confidence built with the customer. Manni runs a tight ship. His team's work is first rate, he stands behind everything he does, he will go out of his way to get your vehicle fixed, safely, ethically and in a timely manner. There have been occasions I have walked in with a 4 hour job and because I really really needed my vehicle running..... Manni got 'er Done! You can count on getting a job done right. Mission Automotive is the definition of a crooked mechanic shop. Mani will politely take all of your saving and leave your vehicle with the same issue that you brought it in for. I am extremely unsatisfied with the quality of work done here. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars here only to have to take it else where to have the problem diagnosed and fixed. Not judging the repair side of Mission Automotive. I would never buy a vehicle from them ever agin. I had bought a nice Nissan Micra from them. Months later, when asked to come in to talk about possible re-finance, they talked me out of my Nissan into a more expensive, bigger Chrysler which was not what I wanted. Finding out from another dealer in the industry that they could have refinanced the Nissan rather than put me in a new car was the final straw. Would not recommend. read more

I took my car for a transmission flush and let Mani know that there was a shutter when shifting gears and asked him to take a test drive when he was done. When I picked up my car, the transmission flush was all done in record time and they used Toyota Genuine Automatic Transmission fluid, which I appreciated. Also my suspicions about the shutter were confirmed and it was suggested I take my car to a Toyota dealership and have them take a look at it as it was covered by the Extended Warranty Program I purchased when I bought my car in 2012. I very much appreciated knowing this and have since taken by car to Open Road Toyota in Abbotsford and they are fixing the problem no charge. Many thanks to Mani and staff. Took my Civic in last week for a timing belt. After getting the best quote around, I decided I'd give these guys a try. The short story, the service was awesome. The long story: after I got my car back I drove home and as I pulled into my driveway my fan belt came loose. I called Mani, the General manager, and after a short discussion he offered to send someone to my home in Aldergrove to repair my car, for free of course. How awesome is that? My mother and father in law brought their civic in for some repairs only to find out that the engine had been swapped out by a previous owner (we had no idea) which meant that Mani had to order extra parts from several different places around the lower mainland to get the repairs done. The extra time and work was above and beyond their original quote. They didn't charge us extra and gave us a courtesy vehicle. I do not live in Mission, but my car broke down there. I went to Mission Automotive based on local recommendations. Amazing service. On an older car with low mileage, I decided to replace the transmission and ordered a transmission with 160 km/3-year warranty. The transmission was defective. They worked with the factory to get another one that worked well. I would recommend Mission Automotive to anyone in the area. They know the meaning of customer service. read more

If i could give negative stars, i would. Not only did they fail to fix my honda civic, but they claimed they couldn't diagnose it without some trial and error. 3 errors later, i took my car elsewhere. (About $1300 later). They replaced e different items that did not need to be replaced. Took it to arvid's in abbotsford, Arvid's diagnosed the problem immediately. When i grieved mission automotive's services through my credit card, Mani's response was that i stole parts from them, but they were willing to refund me one of the 3 charges. (the lowest of the 3 bills of course). They also claimed that the part that arvid's fixed was something i told mission automotive NOT to fix. A) how could i have stolen parts from them? B) why would i tell them NOT to fix a broken part on my car? I should have pursued the case more, and made them reinburse more than 1 out of the 3 bills, but i didn't want to see mani's smug face any more. I'm hoping Karma will get back to you, mani. what goes around! read more

I've tried twice to write a review of Mission Automotive, and each time not submitted it because it didn't do any justice to the service that I received. I use my vehicle for work and downtime is very expensive, so, first of all, Mission Auto is open on Saturdays. PLUS! That brought my first experience with Mani. It was actually by accident as I was looking for some new tires and (literally) stumbled on Mission Auto. Not only was Mani able to get me some tires, INSTALLED THAT DAY, and for such a great price that I had him do an oil change at the same time. Second trip back was to install a trailer hitch. Not typically something that one needs a shop to do, given that it's literally 6 bolts and a step-by-step instructions for the wiring, but, of course, the old frame had rusty nuts on it. Needless to say, the second job was done perfectly. Now, the third trip back. This time, with the other vehicle for some internal issue(s). Happily, Mani takes the vehicle, does his magic, and even stays late to wait for me to pick it up. Mani's communication about what the cause of the fault is, how he's going to fix it, what the cost will be, and updating any info along the process has been nothing less than exemplary. Not to give him all of the credit, because there are technicians and other support staff involved in the process, but this well-managed business is done by Mani. Kudos! Side note; As this review is written, we're amidst the Covid19 pandemic. Mani has set up a contactless, safe, and sterilized procedure for his work and to safe-guard the clients as well. read more

Don't ever bring your vehicle here they are rip off artists had them do a job very small job and they ended up charging way to much. I checked around after!! And they forgot to put a piece back on my car when I went back and said something the mechanic tried to claim it was already missing when I was just looking at it the night before and it was on there. Manny said he would call around and find the piece at the scrap yard and call me the following day but he never ever called. I'd give minus if I culd. Took our Ford truck in here to get it looked at, ended up getting it back 14k later. 2 weeks later took it BACK in and was quoted 30k to swap out the engine due to a damaged belt. Took it to Ford instead for a second opinion, turns out the computer jsut needed to be updated. I highly doubt the truck even needed 14k WORTH OF WORK......... read more

Found out a 1000.00 repair and servicing could have been charged 500 to 550 by two other shops. So disappointed to be taken advantage of by this firm. I had my vehicle repaired at Mission Automotive. Repairs were done incorrectly, wrong parts used for my car which caused me a grand total of over $6700.00 just to fix what Mission Automotive had done incorrectly and charged me to fix things that they fixed incorrectly and caused even more damage to the tune of over $6700.00. Mani, at Mission Automotive not only refused to take any responsibility for his shops errors but he even called the RCMP when I left his shop after I went to ask him for my money back with invoices and letters from 2 certified mechanics backing the claim of improper repairs causing damage to my car. I gave him a reduced offer to pay me and gave him til 9 AM the next morning for his decision or I would have to go to small claims court to get my money that is owed to me back from Mani and Mission Automotive. What Mani did in response to this blew my mind! He called the RCMP and told them that I was threatening his customers from entering his shop and was blocking them from entering his shop. This was all a fabrication of lies and the RCMP realized it and closed the file immediately. I am in a wheelchair and Mani's shop is not wheelchair accessible so I had to take my mother with me to help me in the shop. Perhaps this is what Mani refers to as threatening and blocking his customers from entering his shop when there wasn't even a customer near the door when I went in or out! Shame on Mission Automotive for not only doing repairs incorrectly and causing even more damage to my vehicle but not even an admission of error or an offer to make things right but for also calling the RCMP and filing false charges against me when I am in a wheelchair and that was the only reason I may have blocked his entrance which no one was around to block from entering or leaving anyway! I thought this was extremely important for others to know what occurred and occurs when you bring your vehicle for repairs at Mission Automotive. That is what happened to me and I have heard of other instances of very similar occurrences. read more

These guys took hours to diagnose a problem that my own mechanic says should have taken 20 minutes. There are other facilities in Mission that do much better work. Take your vehicle anywhere else and avoid this place. read more

Being new to Mission and a older female I got a little stressed when my car's brakes started to grind. I knew something was wrong but had no idea where to go and who to trust. Besides the brakes grinding the car also had a front end shaking that I knew had to be checked out. I called Mission Automotive and they took my car in right away. Manni was fantastic. He not only checked my brakes but he and his mechanics went right over the vehicle and did a great inspection and looked at everything. I had only bought the car 6 months ago used and I did not know any history of the vehicle. Manni made up a list of what concerned him and what needed to fixed to make the vehicle road safe and reliable. He also gave me a list of things that should be done in the near future but he got me back on the road in a reasonable time frame and I believe he gave me reasonable pricing without gouging me. The best experience with a vehicle break down ever. Great customer service and friendly. I would most definately recommend this place for any vehicle repairs. Thanks Manni and your team. read more

Never take your vehicle here to be fixed. They seriously over charge, and will tell you that something needs urgent repair, when other repair shops totally disagree with that. Paid $900 for new alternator and battery and next day still having problems and upon going back told the alternator was no good, replaced, still having same problems - go back again (with appt) and said I could not leave it as had appts. said it would take 1-2 hrs - waited - after 3 hours asked what was going on and taken out to see car - no mechanic working on it - asked why and the mechanic said he just does what he's told - had to get ride home - cancel appts. next day go there and told I would have to spend more money and I did not appreciate it and was told to leave. I said no I want the car fixed as per the $900 bill - they called the police and said I can never go back. Police felt sorry for me but it is private property - ended up paying to get another alternator and problem fixed! Very offended at the lies I was told. read more

I took my vehicle to mission automotive a few weeks back and everything seemed fine until I got my vehicle back. I drove down the street to a gas station and noticed a huge scratch down the side of my car and it was not their earlier before i took it to mission automotive. I went back to the shop and asked to speak to the owner/manager Mani. Immediately as i told him what happened he seemed to go into a rage and started yelling at me and telling me that i was quote "full of shit" and that i should "never show my face here again". Well don"t worry Mani i don't ever plan to come back to a shop as awful as your's. I am warning anyone out there that this shop and its owner are unwilling to accept fault for damage they did to my car and the owner seems like a real asshole to begin with. read more

They installed a new alternator for $650.00 then a few days later I have more power issues. I take it back. They then tell me that I have oil leaking and need lots of different gaskets replaced and also that oil has now gotten inside the starter and that should also be replaced. The new bill will be $1500.00. Never would have put that much into my car but I've just put $650.00 out there so I authorized the work. When I picked my car up I could smell smoke, friends told me it would be residual oil and will be burnt off within a few days. I only drove the car 40 miles tops and realized that the smoke was not dissipating. I then parked the car until I had time to get it back to them, about 8 or 9 days after picking it up. The day before I take it back a friend looks at the motor and see's that the oil dipstick has not been closed properly and has now shot transmission fluid onto the motor and has left a puddle and also that a air filter plug hasn't been closed properly. I show the mechanic what my friend had discovered, the mechanic assumes no responsibility and tells me my engine needs to be shampooed for him to tell me anything. Wonder how he managed initially...anyways, the end result was I was told that 'someone else' opened the transmission dipstick and tried to pour transmission oil through the stick and that it had dribbled down and created a pool of transmission oil. They had nothing to do with it! Honestly people, I don't do anything under the hood. I take my car to mechanics. They were the last to work on my car. I have never been so mad or felt so ripped off in my life. read more
