Have spent a fortune here over the years and the service is still slow and almost rude. Point being, good customers still receive poor service. When you walk in half the time they don't acknowledge your there and with an appointment you'll still sit and wait 30 - 45 min to just get your vehicle inside. (This service was simply a flat repair and took 2 days for an appointment) The waiting area is clean, they have coffee and the customer service reps dress nice. That's about it.. As far as value no difference from competitors. They could learn a ton from Les Schwab in the states on how to run a tire business. read more

I needed a plug in my tire so I removed the wheel to expedite the repair. I went to Langley Kal tire at ar aprox 9:am. I had to leave my wheel with them. I didn't get the call to pick it up until 4:30 pm. I went in to inform them ,I was there to pick up my wheel. The guy tells me its $59+, I said 59 dollars for a plug! I was in shock. i have never had a bad experience at a kal tire - from vernon, to edmonton, to vancouver, to the fraser valley. in this instance, i needed to pull over to this langley location b/c i had a tire that just wouldn't hold air. it was about 30 mins to closing on a sunday. so sundeep came out and helped me find my spare (which i had never occasion to use and was hidden under the trunk. they then put on the spare (at no charge!) while looking for a replacement tire in the city i do live in so i could book to get it replaced elsewhere. how amazing is that? truly helpful, kind, exceptional service! read more

I stored my summer tires with them when I bought new winter tires from Kal Tire. I ended up with a flat tire on Thursday and wanted to get my summer tires put on. I was having concerns about my tire pressure on my winters, and wasn't sure about how to proceed with getting them taken care of. I called Kal-Tire and the man on the phone, Ashlyn, was super personable and kind and assured me I could come in and they could check the tire pressure and fill them up if need be. As soon as I came in, I was greeted and assisted by a wonderful gentleman named Mike, who checked the pressure, added some air, and sent me on my way! He was efficient, friendly, and kind. I just wanted to say what rockstars they are!! Called and talked to Ryan the manager. Told him my situation, need a tire put on a new rim because my current rim had broken. Told me to come down because there not super busy right now. Been waiting for over 2 hours so I asked to inquire about it . Prior to I told the employee if they are to busy could you please just mount the tire to rim and I can put it on. 10 min job. So when I inquired they said no ones looked at it yet and probably won't for another hour. Lots of other tire shops around stay away from these clowns. WHOA THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! Great phone and in person service. After being quoted for $1100 from BMW to fix my two tires (one was low due to a nail but they insisted I needed to get both fixed), I called around and eventually called Kal tire. Markus picked up the phone and he was extremely helpful and nice. Told me to bring the car in and they would see what they can do. Brought my car in around 11am on Saturday. I called ahead to make sure they weren't too busy and could fit me in. I got my car back around 4:30pm. And guess what.. They didn't even charge me! They said it was FREE. When I asked why, they said... "We just like doing favors with people". After that, I wanted to give them money! Hopefully I don't have any serious tire issues in the future, but if I do.. The staff here seems just as knowledgeable, and service was quick and done properly. I had a slow leak in one tire so I took it to them to repair. I was told that the tire (top of the line Michelin 70,000kms) ''was bald around the center treads and showing the weaved mesh fibers of the internal structure of the tire and that there was no puncture but the air was slowly releasing through the mesh fibers''. He told me all four tires should be replaced because they would all be in a similar state if not now but at any moment. I went away to think about this with 2 quotes from him for 4 new tires. I took the car the next day to my regular auto shop (for a different issue) and told them my tire story.....they said ''What, lets have a look''. The leaky tire was not bald in the centre or showing through to bare fabrics but a rather large screw was found imbedded....obviously causing the leak! Yes, all the tires had just about had their day, but they were not anywhere near the condition KAL Tire reported! WTF .....Beware the scam!! Bye Bye KT. read more

These guys were just as busy but they managed to squeeze me in and help me out. I've since bought two sets of high end tires for my Jeep and truck as well as chains. I had emergency tire issue, so I phoned them around 4:50 and one of the lady who works there at the store told me they are busy but come anyways. I said it's going to take me about 20 mins or so, she said OK When I got there one of the guys said they can't do it. I phoned the number again from the parking lot, asking the same lady that I talked. She said 20 mins ago was okay but not anymore, they are busy now because someone came in. From the parking lot, I see one mechanic working on the van and three, four guys packing up to go home. It was around 5:30. They close at 6:00 Not impressed at all. Great place, Got there at the last minute after getting off work early. asked them to rotate my wheels and also balance. Glad they had great service and I was able to see what they were doing to the car and they were ok with all that. Been a customer for 20 years and never had a problem, today had winters tires put on. When they finished I was told I had a stripped stud on one tire. They didn't make note of it when removing the tire so they wouldn't get blamed when replacing the nut, only after they finished was it noted, when I looked at the stripped bolt it was full of fresh shavings. They wouldn't even schedule a repair as I needed to take the car to California within 48 hours and they were way too busy to fit me in even though I would be paying the repair cost. I don't trust them with any of my future needs. Kal tire used to be that rare business you could trust without reserve, not any more. read more

My husband took his truck in Dec 12/17 to have a tire checked and following is a list of the issues he encountered: Day 1 he was informed that two of the tires were patched on the sidewall and one was leaking to the point where it was not repairable and was advised he should purchase two new tires. At that point, he decided to replace all four. He waited while they started the job at 11:30am and during installation, a control arm bushing was broken by who ever was working on his truck. He was informed that the part needed to fix the issue was not available till the next day and was given a ride home at 2:30pm. He was told by the attendant that they would call him the next morning to advise when it would be completed. Day 2 after not hearing anything from Kal Tire by 1:00pm, I called to see what the issue was as there was zero communication from them. I was informed that it would still be another couple hours as apparently, there were other problems they encountered but,other than the tech saying it was labor intensive, that was about all the info I was given. When a call finally came around 4 pm, we returned to pick up his truck. When we arrived to pick up the truck, there was no explanation offered and they basically handed my husband the bill $1036.00, with a look of "pay what you owe and get out". At that point, my husband asked for an explanation of what happened and a tech begrudgingly showed the part with a brief explanation and at no point offered any apologies. Approximately a week later a lady from Kal called to inquire about the experience and at that time, my husband informed her of what happened and to this point no follow up no nothing. I'm so upset with this Kal Tire, my girlfriend took her jeep in for an oil change, they told her that her ball joint/U joint were shot and the jeep was unsafe to drive. They quoted her $2000+ When she said she wanted to think about it, they pressured her and then finally had her sign a waver to take her jeep off the property. The next day she took it to Chrysler and had them do a full inspection. Guess what, they found nothing wrong. After she heard that she called Kal Tire and let them know that Chrysler gave it a full pass. Not even an apology. A full scam. Never go there read more

My husband and I have been going to this location for years - for new tires, repairs, tire rotation etc. Every time I go I am so pleased with their service. Every single person that works there has the right attitude. Always polite, never hurried, and they follow through with what they promise, no matter how busy they are. Even if you just stop by to get your tire air pressure checked (which they do for free) you are treated like a valued customer. More places need to have this attitude. This review is actually for the Willowbrook location. Totally incompetent!!! Took my Ford Escape in for a whooing sound coming from the back when I pressed the brakes. They called and told me my front brakes need to be changed. I asked about my back brakes and he said "oh need to change those. You have at least a year left on those". I paid $480 (over $500 without BCAA discount) to change my front brakes. Drove it away and noticed the sound was still there. After a few days it was getting worse, so I took it to Ford. They just called me and told me my rear brake shoes had less than 1 mm left in them. I told him what Kal Tire said and he laughed. So now I am paying twice!! Not only that Ford is $200 less to change them. Never again! read more

Bryan and this crew are 1000% customer service and big hearts! I had a family emergency and called then when they opened and they made room in their fully booked schedule to get winter tires on our truck so I could get there in time. Just a few weeks earlier they squeezed in a tire swap of our cars last minute. I can't thank them enough - if they hadn't have done this for me I may not have been able to say good bye to my loved one as I was teaching against the clock. I had trouble with a new set of tires two years earlier but in the end they were replaced and it was handled professionally throughout.
