I told the guy, Manpreet(?), I also needed the spare tire inflated. I had mentioned that earlier when I called but I requested that again just to be sure. I told them I have emptied the trunk and the spare tire is readily accessible. 2. They took my car and FOB but didn't offer any kind of written job order, which is strange and risky for me. 3. After they finished the job, the priority for the guy at the counter (a chinese guy) seemed to be simply collecting payment and little else. I had to ask to see the service report, which he had to retrieve from a garbage bin! 4. When I asked, the guy had no clue as to which way the tires were rotated. He made a guess and said it was cross rotated because my car was a 4-wheel drive, which my car wasn't! He then corrected himself and said the tires were rotated directionally (same side front to back). I dodn't think he knew what he was saying. 5. The notes on the service report said there was "rear edge wear on both fronts down to cords". I checked the tires after I brought the car home and found no such wear. 6. The report stated the tires had between 3/32 and 5/32 threads. I checked. My Michellin tires has around 32,000 km and still has more thread depth than that! 7. Report said the brakes were dry. The report recommended service. At 32K odometer, my 2018 Lexus brakes are still good!  8. Finally, I asked the guy whether the spare tire has been inflated as requested. He assured me it was. Not convinced, I demanded he ask the mechanic who worked on my car (JAXU?). The guy went and came back with the assurance that the tire was in fact inflated. Well, I was still not persuaded so we both went to car to have that verified. Lo and behold, the tire was NOT inflated.  Suffice it to say, I'm never going to KalTire again. Sloppy service! I should have known better than entrust my Lexus to these amateurs!

In the past I have gotten one full set of tires in late 2022 and have had to purchase multiple other tires due to nails on the road and such last one being in august. In which I had asked for an alignment done as well as I was there and I noticed a bit of pulling. However I came by a few weeks ago for a tire replacement for my front left tire to be replaced due to a flat that occurred two months prior I was assisted on the phone by James who on the phone seemed knowledgeable, and accommodating which was very helpful. However, when I had came in store I was talking to James about my concerns as my tire only popped due to poor alignment the tread towards the inner side has thinned out almost entirely which is due to poor alignment. I asked him how did it happen that quickly if the car was only used once or twice a week for three months, it does not make sense to me. He said too me that he didn't see it in the records ever being done in august so when I'm sitting in the lobby waiting for them to finish work on my car that I have specifically asked for what are they actually doing? He said he would throw in a free end inspection for me to make sure that nothing else is the real "problem" Less than 10 mins later they are pulling my car into the back and getting it on the lift five mins later coming out and blaming it on the bushing saying they can only install the tire but not align it for me never giving me a particular reason as too why. He insisted for me too book with them to have all the bushings replaced for 1500 dollars and that I'm just gonna have the same problem over and over until I fix it. For some reason I just had a uneasy feeling so two days later I drive it to a budget auto centre and PAID to have it inspected for any maintenance that would need to be fixed soon. And a hour in a half later he comes out with a detailed sheet. He kept me updated showed me things that needed to be replaced and why they needed to be. He informed me that my bushing are just fine.. but that my front right tire was about to go... so tell my why KAL TIRE never mentioned anything to me about it! Would they rather have me stuck on the road again just hoping I'd return? Yes my car is old yes it needs a lot of work.. but at the same time don't take advantage of someone just because you can. Just disgusting... budget mentioned my control arms will need some replacing coming up but there's nothing preventing an alignment from being done... I was going to post this sooner but I have been so upset and angry with this establishment.. but I'd rather have others know to go somewhere else!

Great guys both of them. New crew now, but I think I saw Marc today - but he didn't recognize me, it's been a few years. But even as an unknown face I get the best service and treatment possible. Usually shoot the breeze about cars for a few minutes as well - they aren't in a hurry to get you out of there - they just want to get the best for those who walk through the doors. After 30 years and six or seven cars I have come to them time and time again. Sometimes for a patch, sometimes to get a set of rubber. Every single time they are great and I'm pretty safety conscious when it comes to the rubber hitting the road. They've patched no end of screw/nail/whatever holes with the intent of getting you going, not the intent of getting your money. Case in point, I got a nail in the tread at the edge of a tire. Not that many kms on the treads and I didn't think that I could make it to B&B so I pulled into big K. They looked at the tire, said that it was impossible to patch as the nail had "likely" gouged the sidewall. But replacing 1 tire was bad practice so I would need all 4 done even though the kms were less than 100,000 on them. This was a late model Volvo SUV so the tires were not cheap and they "likely" saw my wallet and me coming. Well they also saw me going as I gently drove out and over to B&B. The team there pulled the rubber and actually took a look, seeing that the nail had entered at an angle away from the sidewall and a tread patch was all that I needed, so that's what they did. Go to these guys. They are honest, good natured, and do a great job. I really don't know how you could want anything more in any business let alone the ones that keep you safe on the road.

I brought the new part so there was no deposit owed. I was going to refurbish my original supercharger and now I am unable. This company has had over 40 complaints by the BBB in 3 years- now if that doesn't tell you something I dont know what will. Also, just Google midas langley complaints- there are sooooo many to choose from . Find yourself a shop that has a bit of integrity I would also like it noted that never have they ever managed to fix my vehicles quickly or efficiently. In fact -they told me they had fixed my car so I went onna road trip - broke down the whole way. While pulled over kn the side of the road a random man came to see what was up . He popped the hood and in 5 seconds fixed what midas told me they already had! He didnt even need tools it was such an easy fix! The engine began to smoke, and the car started jerking. Additionally, I was informed that I had to pay $50 for the car inspection. The inspection was conducted unprofessionally. Important checks, such as measuring the oil level and diagnosing the check engine code, were not performed. A very critical issue causing the oil leak was not identified, but there were notes about minor issues instead. For example, I was advised to replace perfectly functional windshield wipers. In total, the repair estimate was $7,500. The prices were inflated. My car is old and, at best, worth half that amount.

1) Upsell Through Misrepresentation of Services…read more I came in for an oil change. Upon arrival, the staff tells me that there is sludge on the oil tank cap. He tells me that it is necessary for him to flush the engine before he is able to proceed. I say okay and was ushered back into my car. Within a minute, I go back out and ask the staff to not proceed with the flush. The staff says that he had already flushed the engine and that there was nothing he could do about it now. During the rest of the service, I ask more questions about the legitimacy of the service and the staff member tells me that the internet cannot be trusted. I then call the Vancouver Volkswagen dealership and confirmed my last oil change service date I did with them as well as mileage. The Volkswagen dealership relays that given the time and mileage between the oil change, that sludge formation was highly improbable and that if that was in fact the situation, that that would indicate a severe problem with the engine. I asked the staff if there was anything wrong with the engine, to which he says no. I argue that given the information provided that a flush was unnecessarily and that the staff had either misdiagnosed or mispresented the situation and service needed. The staff refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing. 2) Repeated refusals to honor agreed upon solutions Following the issues mentioned above, I spoke with the manager and he told me that he would refund the amount for the engine flush. He said that he would speak to his supervisor and that the refund will be processed the next day. The next day, I called back and the manager said that he could only refund half of the amount back. I was reluctant to the refund amount but agreed. Following the call, I posted a review on Google illustrating the interactions above. Half an hour later, the manager calls back and says "I saw your review on Google, no more refund for you", dishonoring yet another refund agreement.
