**BEWARE** Please read my review before considering renting here. First of all, let me begin by stating that these are NOT "luxury" apartments. Calling them luxury is misleading. These are very standard, basic, average apartments like you'd see anywhere else. I have lived in luxury apartments and I have lived in average apartments; I know the difference. With actual luxury apartments, you would see nice amenities like large walk-in showers, garden/jacuzzi tubs in the bathroom, floor to ceiling windows, track/mood lighting, nice views, secured entrances with concierge service, dimmer switches, elevators to above ground floor units, high quality carpet or real wood, keyless entry, and generally, luxury apartments are "smart" homes where temperature, lighting, and entrances can be accessed via app. These apartments have NONE of the above. They aren't luxury by any stretch of the imagination. Anyhow..... This past Saturday, my husband and I were driving past these apartments and decided to stop in. We weren't super impressed with the outside, but thought we'd check them out as we were interested in moving to the area. We met with Misha. Before we even went on a tour or inquired about anything, we were very upfront with her and told we had a recently discharged bankruptcy due to multiple surgeries and medical bills. We were assured it shouldn't be a problem and that, at most, we'd be asked to pay a $400 "opportunity fee." We said fine, and with our minds at rest, we decided to go on a tour. The walls are paper thin, and the steps seemed to be rickety and cheaply constructed. It didn't feel safe walking up or down them. The apartments themselves are very small for the rent they are asking. The living room and kitchen, in particular, are just tiny. Plus, they're very plain. There's nothing striking about them at all. Despite our misgivings, we decided to go ahead and apply as we were eager to move. Several red flags here. A. Misha told us that all we'd have to pay upfront is a $75 application fee per each adult over eighteen living in the unit. Since it was only my husband and myself, that would be $150. Fairly standard, so we were fine with it. Then, we were told we'd have to pay a security deposit to hold the apartment. Again, that's fairly standard so we agreed. However, what she didn't mention was that, upfront, you must always pay an administrative fee and a "decorating fee." This brought the total up to $625...that is just to apply! This morning, I got a call from Misha stating that her manager said that a $400 opportunity fee "would not suffice" and that she was requiring SIX MONTHS OF RENT UP FRONT or a co-signer...and the co-signer had to have excellent credit with a monthly income that was FIVE TIMES THE RENT. That was the only way they would rent to us. Six months of rent would have been $8,508 and it all had to be paid upfront. Now, if Misha had been upfront with us and told us that we may be required to pay six months of rent right off the bat, we NEVER would have applied here in the first place. My husband called Mission Point and asked if he could speak to the manager to try to work something out. The manager REFUSED to come to the phone and speak with my husband. She'd rather have her low-level functionaries do the dirty work. Keep in mind, my husband and myself are respectful, working professionals with verifiable monthly income that FAR exceeds their rental requirements. We also have 15+ years of solid, verifiable rental history where we have always paid rent on time, never been evicted, and have never been problem tenants. We are clean and quiet. However, this wasn't enough for Mission Point. We would have even been willing to pay first and last month's rent upfront to show goodwill, but no. That wasn't good enough either. PLEASE steer clear of this place. I believe their only goal here was to take advantage of us, shame us, and create a hostile and impossible financial situation for us. **EDIT** My husband did, 100%, ask to speak to the manager and she refused to come to the phone. I don't care if it's in your records or not; that's what happened. Secondly, the possibility of us having to pay six months rent up front was NEVER mentioned to us, which is misleading. When tenants have a solid rental history, verifiable income that far exceeds your requirements and a willingness to pay first and last upfront, that should have been more than enough. Asking a tenant to pay six months of rent in advance is unreasonable by any standard, especially knowing that the vast majority of people don't have the kind of money socked away. You can talk about customer service all you want, but the facts are that your employee mislead us about fees and about our chance of getting approved even though we were upfront and honest about the financial situation. read more

The apartments are not luxury, but they are nice. I've had no issue with the office until recently and I live here for three or four years. The ladies in the office have always been kind and came up with solutions. Last time I went in , there was a gentleman I have never seen before. When I walked in, I was standing there for a good minute, nobody was in there except for him. Again, I did not know he was an employee there because I've never seen him before. I'm looking around. He's looking at me. Finally he asked. Can I help you? I said I'm sorry. Do you work here? His response was of course I do or else I wouldn't have asked that question. That was the beginning of the worst visit I've ever had in that office. I've never returned to the office. His name starts with the letter K. My interactions with him on that day was more of his condescending responses. Never ever have I left that office feeling so unwelcome. Other times I've been there everyone else in that office former employees and current employees with the exception of that one has been fabulous. read more

During my time of residing at MP, my car was broken in multiple times. Breezeways between apartments are extremely dirty. Neighbors above left there trash in front of door and trash dripped through the deck. Cheap carpet that is in bad condition. Not worth the money and staff is rude. read more

I've lived at Mission Point over 2 years now and have had a wonderful experience. I'm surprised to see poor reviews! I can't rave about their maintenance team enough. Any maintenance requests I've had (all minor issues) were addressed within the day. I see an employee or 2 walking the grounds every morning, gathering up any litter or trash- they do a great job keeping things picked up. I do wish they would power wash or do something to clean the sidewalks, stairs, and breezeways occasionally as they have gotten a pretty dirty over time with so much foot traffic and leaky trash bags. I've worked with a handful of different staff members regarding various matters and all have been very professional and helpful. They seem to all be on the same page about everything and have things together well! The units and facilities within the complex are beautiful! Parking can get a little crowded depending on capacity, but I've never had to park far from my building. Noise does travel quite a bit between units, but that's to be expected with an apartment lifestyle. I mostly just hear random, periodic thuds or a front door closing loudly if it's windy out. I've only had one issue with a constantly disrespectfully loud neighbor. The apartment management team was very understanding of the situation and were very responsive to every complaint I made. They were great to help alleviate the issue the best they could and the neighbors left after just a couple months. I have and will continue to recommend Mission Point to anyone I know looking for an apartment to call home. read more

I lived here for a couple of years before moving and I enjoyed most of my stay. There are a couple of issues but most of them aren't too serious. The dog waste issue mentioned below is pretty egregious and the complex did take the time to add posts everywhere with bags and trash cans to help, but few people use them. The parking is limited but there was never a point in time where I was more than a one minute walk from my apartment so while it isn't always fun bringing in groceries it wasn't too tremendously bad. Finally in terms of the noise, there is a good deal of bleedthrough from the floor below and above, but it is still the best soundproofing I have ever experienced in an apartment. Let's talk about the pros- the apartments are really nice. The floor plans are fairly open and comfortable and the 2 bedrooms are pretty roomy. The option of a garage is nice and while they are only one car garages there is plenty of storage available. The amenities are excellent. The pools were well maintained and the grill areas are fun to use. The maintenance staff was very helpful and we never had to wait long for anything to get fixed. My experience with the office staff was always pleasant save for one curt interaction with a staff member but that was literally one time over a two year period. Finally, the location is great. Easy access to the interstate made getting to work downtown a breeze. All-in-all I would strongly recommend these apartments to friends. They were among the nicest I have lived in and while not perfect I found them to make a nice home. read more

The office staff is pretty lame. Do not rent. Make sure you read the fine print. They will lie to you. These are far from being nice apartments. And you pay everything. They do not furnish washer and dryer. They do not have a on site laundry. The water stinks. Take out your trash . Dumpster are a block away. They do not care about the noise, complain all you want too. They are all too lame to do anything. Never answer the phone. And never have a supervisor on site. The landscape is for the getto. They have a great amount of empty apartments. What does that tell you. They can't give them away. So discussed with all of it. Dog shit all over the lawns. read more

I recently request a gate fob to my new apartment location to enter the complex without having to stop and enter pin numbers. However I was astonished to find out that the fobs are very old. Only one individual is tasked with programming the fobs. When the employee is off, the fobs are not programmed. I was issued multiple fobs and none of them worked as intended. Either the fob work on one set of gates property I but not property II gates. The next fob I was given didn't work at all. I work Monday through Friday and the hours staffs are on station are from 8-5:30. On Saturdays there are only one staff member on duty and that person may not know how to program the fobs. My recommendation is this is a luxury apartment. We shouldn't have issues with getting fobs to enter the complex. Second, Train the employees on how to program the fobs correctly and ensure they work on all the gate access points. Third, hire a contractor to program the fobs if you are short staff. This is unacceptable that we are paying such a high price for an apartment and you label the apartment as luxury apartments but the amenities are not up to par. read more

I do not recommend renting at these apartments. First, the management is terrible and do not listen to your concerns. This apartment complex is definitely not a luxury apartment. It makes sense since they have tens of complexes in Oklahoma City owned by the same terrible management. All they care about it is how much money they can make off their tenants. Parking in these complexes is terrible. You will have to walk a long distance just to get to your building if you get here past 5pm. There was an incident where my personal FB page was searched by management stating we couldn't sublease my apartment unless we paid 2 months rent to end our lease. However, when we asked the front office, they had no issue with it. After this incident, we felt this as an invasion of privacy and decided not to renew. If you are looking for a good place to live, this is NOT it. read more

They're customer service lacks. When i first moved in, the carpet had pet stains and urine smells. I notified the front office about it and they hired someone to clean it but they did a terrible job. Within a week the smell was back, and when i called back they said the "exhausted all options" when it came to that issue. If moving to moore, I'd recommend 35 west over Mission point. I've lived in both and 35 west is in my opinion superior. read more

I wish I could give less than 1 star... I absolutely do not recommend Mission Point. My husband & I lived here, and the parking is awful. Rent is expensive, but the apartments are built cheap. Also, there are men in building 34 that like to video children. I caught one videoing my daughter (8 years old at the time) while playing outside, and nothing was done about it. They issue noise complaints without even looking into the complaint. I couldn't even put my 7 month old baby on the floor to just work on tummy time without the kid below us banging on the floor, then when we complained to management they issued us a noise complaint .... They also issued a noise complaint to a girl in our building because she was yelling for help when her ex boyfriend broke into her window & was beating her up. If you want a nice place to live that you can trust your neighbors & management, this is not the place for you. read more

I give them a 2 star ONLY because they are very nice apartments, safe for my family and also maintenance! I have lived in serval apartment complexes and mission points maintenance is beyond the best, always quick and also knowledgeable about everything that is in the unit and how it works! PARKING is an issue and has been since day one! I have at times had to park in the front due to literally not parking near my apartment building. Staff is also an issue (other then rocky, he seems to be the only person who cares about his job) Most everyone who works at the office are very unaware of anything that goes on. neighbors trash would get put outside and trash would blow onto my side and then received a letter from the office telling me if I didn't remove the trash from my side I would be charged on my next rent due. If the apartment had better management it would be a 5 star review. read more

This apartment complex is great. It is far enough from Norman for there not to be parties every night, but still close enough to the community atmosphere for young professionals. The two pools two dog parks, and two gyms make this place a dream for my fiance and I. To me it seems that the low reviews are because of isolated incidents. I'm glad I chose to visit the property myself instead of trusting malicious reviews. My fiance and I have lived here for six months and we really enjoy it. read more

I've only lived here for a little over a month but my initial opinion is this. The office staff is courteous and attentive to my requests. Apartments are nice, spacious (for an apartment), only downside is no outside storage on balcony as in most. Parking can be a nightmare and a few tenants drive rather fast through the parking lot (Indy Fast). Other than those little issues I have been pleased. read more

Brand new nearly complete complex so it looks somewhat messy. I have to watch for tripping hazards in grassy areas while walking the dog; utility access covers are not always returned where they belong and there are holes in the green space. Landscape is not professionally done, sod is just thrown over dead spots and potted plants have been left laying on the grassy areas for days until the workers get to them. There are allot of tripping hazards around the complex which should not be the case with the complex filling up so many units being rented. Pool and fitness center are extremely small for the size of this complex. Since the complex is not complete there is quite a bit of commercial traffic through the complex even though the construction staff have an entrance outside the resident entrance. Also, parking is limited so residents will park in the few handicapped marked areas when nothing else is nearby rather than parking in a non-handicapped spot farther away. And some residents are storing some of their property in their entry way to their front door which looks horrible. The management needs to get out of their office and look around. Residents that park in handicapped spots should be ticketed or towed and the green areas need to be cleaned up from the tripping hazards. read more

New apartments and good condition but giving 1 star for a few reasons. First, the staff seems to not know much about running a complex. I went in to sign my lease paperwork and had to come back at least three different times to sign one paper each time that they missed. Someone that works there should know the paperwork required to sign and not waste the tenant's time having to come back again and again. Along those lines, I was told by one staff member that if I picked up the keys after 4pm, that day wouldn't count towards rent because the majority of the day was over. When I came in to pick up my keys at 5pm with the check written out for the amount I was told was due, I was told I couldn't get my keys until I had a check for the correct amount including the day I was picking up my keys. Communication is a big breakdown in this office. Plenty of people have dogs at the complex and there are plenty of posts with bags to clean up after them. However, I've stepped in a few piles left on the grass just walking from the parking lot to my apt because people refuse to clean up after them. There were even piles on the sidewalk to get my mail. I complained on multiple occasions and nothing was sent out or done to enforce it any better. Next is the parking. It's horrible. If you aren't home by 3pm, don't expect to park near your apartment. If you have to walk back from your car, be careful. There are blind corners that people don't slow down for and stop signs that they just roll through. I've had a few close calls and was only there for three months. Next is the shared water bill. They take the average of people in a building and share it amongst everybody. So if you're on a 3 week trip and didn't use a drop of water, you still owe as much as the person that was home all day everyday doing laundry and running the dishwasher. This upset me because my neighbors seemed to do 2-3 loads of laundry every day. My water bill was $45-55 every month I lived there. I lived in a 1500 sq ft house for three years prior to moving in here and my water and trash bill was never that high. Lastly, and it comes back to the staff, is one person saying one thing and another saying something different. When I gave my notice to vacate, I was told that when I returned the two gate remotes, I'd have a $100 credit ($50 each). The final water bill would be $51.49 and carpet cleaning is charged at $50. I thought that was it and I'd owe $1.49. After leaving, I'm told that carpet cleaning is now $75 and the water bill has also gone up. So I now owe them more money because someone didn't get their facts straight and it's hard to tell if it's really more or someone is trying to scam me out of money. Bottom line, stay away from this place and go to 35 West across from Target. read more
