Stacia is a true professional, yet kind and understanding! My next appointment was with Dr.Driver. He is very comfortable to talk with, answering our questions professionally, yet clearly, in layman's terms. He explained clearly all of my opinions, giving my husband and I the comfort needed to decide on cervical spine surgery as my journey. Came here to get a nerve conduction test for my husband for his hand numbness. We filled out the…read morepaperwork and was almost immediately ushered into a room for his test. The room was very warm as they had a small heater on the floor but the doctor explained to us that the test works better at about 82* in the room. The doctor was very explanatory and kind and apologized for any discomfort he may have from the needles in this test. The staff was very friendly and the office was clean and nice.

She couldn't drive, work, or even walk around the house, so our doctor gave a reference to this clinic. The scheduler informed us it would be weeks before she could be seen. When I asked her if there were any other options, she curtly said no and told us that was just the way it was. She then hung up on me. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, but I guess it isn't all that surprising. This is what happens when you have a monopoly on service in the valley.

Had I paid out of pocket, it would have been much less. Here in lies the problem with our health system and really explains why our premiums are always on the rise. It is a broken system, borderline fraudulent. Services should be services and be charged regardless of self pay or insurance pay. Why have insurance if you end up paying more? Makes no sense with their logic. In discussing this with the owner of BF Therapy and expressing my displeasure with both the treatment and the cost, I was dismissed as to just pay my bill. This was the day everything changed! I had spent over two years trying to find a residential treatment program that would help my son, as each incident we had with him escalated in severity. From the moment I inquired about Petty Creek Ranch, the communication throughout the entire process was unparalleled. I cannot tell you how many places that I had called with no follow through, and then came Michael Morso, the owner and executive director of Petty Creek Ranch. The passion he shows in his work is evident in the commitment he shows to doing whatever it takes to give every teenage boy the opportunity to change their life in a positive direction. The amount of support that these boys receive is truly remarkable. They receive support in academics, vocational/technical training, intensive family therapy, recovery coaching, in addition to many other treatment interventions like equine-assisted therapy and action-based therapy. For my son specifically, his struggles were/are due to ADHD, addiction, habitually lying and manipulating behaviors. He has now come through the other side consistently being open and honest, which I don't remember seeing since he was 2 years old. With his severe ADHD, we had also tried at least 8 different combinations of medications since 4thgrade before going to Petty Creek Ranch. After trying an innumerable amount of changes during his stay, he was able to come home with the perfect combination. They did in 6 months what I couldn't get figured out in 8 years! I can only hope that others can find the same success, with the dedication and perseverance shown in every area of this program at Petty Creek Ranch, which my family with be eternally grateful for, and will forever be in our hearts!
