The parking lot is very easy in and out, though the intersection at Glendale Avenue/Maple Street can be a long wait at times depending on your way of travel in #OnAMission Really impressed with the selection of organic, kosher, vegan friendly and specialty wines. I was in the mood for a Malbec and discovered a perfect option in the Kosher section. It was actually from a winery I know well: Alavida by Domaine Bousquet. So smokey, rich and racy!! L'chaim! Great Whiskey, Scotch and Bourbon. Solid sake options as well as a tone of good international wines including French, Spanish, Armenia, Italian and more. Great sales and discounts I didn't even realize, though items already on sales can't be marked down again. Items with yellow tags are typically the ones on special either via weekly promotions in their flyers or displays. Easy to use short shopping carts, not too bulky, right by the ice cooler when you first walk in. Also easier to navigate down their isles and parts of the store. MW&S - Glendale is a lucky retailer, so get your lotto tickets here also. I definitely will next time I'm in. Remedy Liquor used to be my go to liquor store for high end alcohol but Mission has prices that are just as good and you have a better chance of getting your item(s) since they have more locations and a separate warehouse as well. Plus, Mission actually treats you as if they want your business instead of acting like they're doing you a favor by selling you something. Remedy is not known for its welcoming attitude. The girl working the counter was extremely nice and helpful. She had my prepaid order for Hibiki brought out promptly and was more than happy to find other Suntory products that were in stock. She even found better prices for the Yamazaki distiller's reserve if I was willing to drive out to a competitor in Corona or Calabasas. Who else does that? For a $15 difference, I decided to just buy it there instead of wasting time and gas. Mission will price match for items located closer to their stores unless the competitor's cost was lower than theirs. They only had 2 bottles left so the decision was pretty easy. Plus I was able to cash in my Lotto ticket for $5 so I pretended I got a discount. This location has its own parking lot so that makes it much more convenient than going to Remedy which shares its lot with other businesses and is usually very busy. The shop is smaller but like I mentioned before, they have more locations so you can either get your item shipped here or you can drive to one of their other stores. The shop is very clean and orderly although the rows are a bit close together. All in all, a very successful mission indeed today. read more

I just spent over $170 to buy a whole carton of cigarettes And I asked them to put in the plastic bag they refused to do that and they told me I need to pay $0.10 for that And they told me this is a government law, which is BS. I have a market and I know there is no such a law. You guys are so cheap that made me leave the store and never come back here again I gave him $50 bill. I frequented their North Glendale and Sherman Oaks locations, respectively, but they had the one item I clamored for which tied into a James Bond movie marathon I was having to pass the time. Obviously, I was a fan of the aforementioned locations, so would there be anything different about this one!? PARKING (FREE) I parked in their medium private parking lot. Otherwise, there was plenty of free street parking along the main drag of Glendale Ave. and all surrounding streets (check all posted signs) - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A mini warehouse of sorts with numerous aisles clearly marked filled top-to-bottom with an assortment of libations along with a wall-length cooler section stocked with a ton of craft beers and anything else that needed to be chilled, and lastly a separate high-end champagne and wine section with temperature control. Behind the checkout counter were various other goodies I felt simply had no space or particular place to be out on the floor. Plenty of natural light came through the large glass windows while simple electric ceiling lights filled the rest. There were no TVs, but music played in the background to get your groove on. ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL Mission Wine & Spirits on Glendale Ave. in Glendale was just amazing as the other two locations I've shopped at and of course would shop at again. I'd say it was larger than their other Glendale location and the same as their Sherman Oaks location. This location truly had every type of alcohol and liquor you needed, and I'm sure if you couldn't find something they would be able to order it for you. Their prices were always extremely competitive and usually the lowest in town. Again, the service was second-to-none. I had an outstanding experience with Mission Wine & Spirits! I picked up from this store on Glendale Ave in Glendale, CA and the service was top notch! This was around 11/1 when COVID cases were surging but not quite as bad as now, and they were very careful with spacing and sanitation and safety. There was a lot you could park in, let's start there, because it makes it much more convenient. The young woman who assisted me was great. It was quick and pleasant. Very helpful too. But they also get a ton of credit for the way they handled my phone inquiry in their main shipping location (I THINK). The guy who helped me was just great, because I was trying to find a store open on Sunday, not too far out of my way, that carried a specific variation of a great Mexican whiskey called Sierra Norte. Not that many liquor stores even carry Sierra Norte whiskey in the first place, so they also get credit for that. But this guy checked store inventory for me, told me what my best bet would be to find a store carrying these whiskeys not far out of the way open on Sunday. Really nice touch. I live in AZ and I was on a return trip from Oregon to Palm Springs then back to AZ so this Glendale location was perfect for my route, but the outstanding customer service was memorable to me. read more

BEWARE: This store has a policy of overcharging customers. They do not sync their cash register system to reflect the prices advertised on the website. Quote from store manager, Valentine, "For every item there are 2 prices: the price advertised on the website and the price we charge in store. We'll honor the website price only if the customer asks." I told him this is deceptive advertising, as they do nothing to warn customers of this policy. He refused to apologize and insisted on blaming me, repeatedly, for not informing them of their own price discrepancy! Way to turn the tables on the customer! He did refund the difference in price -- only after I drove 40 minutes to the store to resolve the issue in person. The owners of Mission Wine & Spirits should be aware that this store manager (Valentine) and assistant manager (Nancy) both refused to apologize and handled interactions over the phone and in person with an unfortunate lack of professionalism. If these workers do not want to deal respectfully with customers (clearly they do not) then they should get out of retail. read more

I love this store and the one in Pasadena too! They have a large selection of spirits including items I can't find anywhere else. The prices are reasonable and sometimes cheaper than other liquor stores. Both the Glendale and the Pasadena locations host weekly wine or champagne tastings, which are fun and informative. Amy, who hosts the Glendale classes, is so delightful! She's incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to wines and champagnes. The staff at both locations are always friendly and helpful. read more

I have been a client to Mission Wine & Spirit for over 15years. This Glendale location's employees are mean as f&&&k. I drove all the way from Westwood specifically to do my purchase at Mission liquor. Normally I do my shopping at Glenoaks location. Anyway long story shot I asked very politely to use a restroom for a very quick second for natural needs!!! Those employees reply that it's for employees only. Be a human not an animal! Threat your customer as other stores do! Each of my trip to their store I spend around $300. I am not a random walk in person who without purchasing anything or without great importance will ask to use a restroom. Was looking for a particular Italian wine we had at a restaurant and thought I'd check this place out. Well they had the wine at a good price, they also have an amazing assortment of everything, a lot of high quality alcohol products from All over the world. Amazing amount of stock and variety. The place is very clean and receives a lot of care from the owners. Didn't see one dusty bottle, no sticky floor. All cases had very clean glass. Very nice store and the people there were all pleasant. I understand they have, I believe three, locations. This is the one on Glendale Ave. in Glendale. Parking is a breeze, the liquor is very organized and categorized and you can get in and out super fast. HELPFUL TIP: They always have copies of their current advertisement sitting at the front register. One bad thing is they over charge me. once I got home and realize it. I email them copy of the receipt showing it was even higher then online price and got no answer back. Forget the alcoholic drinks, I come here for the hookah flavors and supplies!!! They're the cheapest retail store I know that sells fumari flavors for $6.99! Other than that, they have starbuzz, al fakher, etc for cheap prices too! They usually have sales on their hookahs, like I know now, they're selling hookahs, probably the MYA Petites, for only $10! Let me tell you, MYA Petites are actually really good! They also have the world's best hookah hoses for sale at around $6: Tonic Hoses. This place is my #1 hookah store. With an incredibly well-stocked local store like this, there is no reason I ever need to go to another box store for my booze. But Mural at Mission Liquor on Glendale Blvd. is the prototype of what every retail manager should strive to get from their employees. I HIGHLY recommend not purchasing any high end wines from here... - They turn off the AC inside the cellar during the winter months to save money. - The cellar was above room temp when I was there. - The warehouse where they store their expensive wines isn't even temp controlled either. I had them bring out a Maybach Materium out from the back and it was obvious that it had been stored at or above room temp. The glass wasnt even remotely cool to the touch! BE CAUTIOUS! This location is suspicious. I tried to purchase whiskey in quantity and they said that the maximum I could purchase on a credit card was $500 worth. When I asked the manager why, his response was that their "insurance company" would not allow more than $500. The only solution had to be cash or debit. Well guess what? I went to the Sherman oaks location and purchased everything I needed all in one transaction, paid with a credit card, no problem. Last time I stopped I heard that they stopped carrying Turkish beverages due to conflict between Armenia and Turkey. I really don't understand why would you bring politics into your business. Best spot in Downtown Glendale to get hard liquor. Compared to other places, you save anywhere between 25-50% off. Having a 140 person party, I decided to buy the liquor from them and saved a ton of money as they gave me a little more discount since I was buying in cases. The staff is so cool and knowledgeable that you can comfortably ask them for suggestions without worrying about them up-selling you to something that is out of your budget. Often times they suggest comparable products which are cheaper but of equal or better quality. I am glad they opened this second location in Glendale as the other one was way over in North Glendale. Please note that they are geared more towards savings on hard liquor, while they have a decent selection of wines, they did not have the best prices compared to Ralph's. read more

They encouraged me to buy the same brand of wine, but from an inferior vintage.
