Fantastic PRICES! Super King Market is one of the most best in value supermarkets out there. The produce section is amazing. Fresh produce consistently being replenished by the staff. SK specializes in Middle Eastern, European, Asian, and Latin American products. Because the prices are so reasonable and they offer good quality products, it is also one of the busiest supermarket chains in LA/OC area. Patience is definitely needed shopping at all their locations. I been to many of their locations and it's always BUSY! Weekdays AM are best to shop here. Weekend and holidays are unbearable. Super King Market can save you much money, if you have the time and patience to shop at any one of their stores.

They may as well be known as the produce king because Super King Markets is one of the most affordable markets for fresh produce in Southern California. The volume they move is extraordinary. They really make the traditional markets look like a rip-off. The selection is always plenty. Bins are stocked and restocked daily. Annoying as it is, while you're pushing your shopping cart through crowded aisles. The craziness in the aisles will match the wild nature of their parking lots. They are not really designed well, and they can be a challenge. They have multiple locations in LA County, and Glassell Park is one of the originals. The focus of pantry items is Middle Eastern. You will find a whole lot of Goya-branded items along with many other similar labels. You really do need to see their weekly flyer for savings on pantry items. Some other items may also border on Asian and Latin American products. Spices, nuts, and herb selections are also popular and definitely a go-to item to come here for. They also have quite an alcohol selection with your standards and specialty bottles. Often, there will be sales of these also, making this a good competitor for Costco. There is also an excellent bakery with piping hot and freshly made inventory. Every kind of Middle Eastern bread item is here. Personally, I don't find their meat selection always fresh. Sometimes I don't even know if they are selling Choice grade. I also find their seafood selection to be less than appealing. There is also a deli counter if you should be in need of prepared meats and dishes.

Happened to be passing by and spotted this market so we decided to check it out. Heading in I was shocked at how expansive their dried herbs section was! They have just about every herb you can possibly think of. Loved that they even had corn husks for Tamales. Each aisle was chock full of all different types of international foods. Reminded me of Jon's but on steroids. I picked up some chili crisps and also spring roll wraps. Definitely going to head back there when I have more time to shop. Parking was easy in their lot.

A decent store with low prices. Large parking lot but lots of people. A large variety of good quality food, The staff is friendly.

Place looks clean. Service is great. Fruit is fresh so are the vegetables. The only thing that I could say that it's not that hood or the lines to pay. I see a lot of them. Closed when lines are long.

Wow what's up with these outrageously low prices?!? Whole Pineapple $1 1 gallon of bleach $1 1 gallon of vinegar $2 Salt $0.50 The market is sooo clean and well organized. Staffs are friendly and happy. I'm dazed and amazed. Kicking myself for not checking out SK market sooner. The only thing that's missing here is hot deli.

I want to congratulate the owners and managers of this store. It cannot be easy finding so many rude employees (cashiers in particular). These people have no idea what customer service means. The cashier named LEIVI is one of the rudest super market employees I've ever met. She acts as though she is doing you a favor and considers it your job to bag your own groceries. I spoke with someone named GLADIS at the managers desk and she was not interested in getting involved. It is very sad because they do have nice employees particularly at the deli counter, but people like LEIVI ruin your experience.

    Great market great deli.

One of my favorite things to get at Fish King is the plate with the swordfish skewers. This dish is honestly so unique, and I haven't found anything like it anywhere else. It's basically two shish-kebab style sticks of seasoned swordfish, peppers, and tomatoes, and it's served with a few sides in addition to fried veggies and shrimp. I also really enjoy their tacos. They also have very generous servings of poke (I personally don't get the poke from here because it's already mixed in with raw onions and I don't like raw onion). Prices are all very reasonable--the swordfish plate I mentioned earlier is around $15 and a pretty large amount of food. Fish King does get pretty busy especially around mealtimes so it's better to order in advance and pick up so that you don't have to wait around as long. I think if you order in person, you can expect a 20-30 min wait when it's busy. There's a small lot on the side of the market and sometimes you can find street parking too. There are some tables on both ends of the market so you can dine in, it's very casual.

First, it's not in the menu yet, but the A5 CHEESESTEAK is FIRE... go now and get it! You'll see in the picture, it's the real deal. The draw back is this place is very crowed during peak times and it a little too small considering the amount of customers that come. I've driven past Papa's Meat and Seafood on Glenoaks Blvd a dozen times, on our many trips to the area. We alway promising that we would stop in, and I'd finally stop in. Honestly, my only regret is waiting this long. I ordered the Luka Sandwich, which is loaded with their 14-hour smoked pastrami brisket, cheddar, pickled cherry peppers, iceberg, and Papa's aioli on toasted sourdough. The pastrami itself is a work of art--smoky, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and seasoned perfectly without being a total salt bomb. The pickled cherry peppers give it this incredible, bright pop of heat that cuts right through the richness of the beef. It's a messy, beautiful monster of a sandwich.  My wife went with the Surf 'n' Turf Bowl, which comes with their marinated "Crack Shrimp" and grilled angus beef over rice with a fresh shirazi salad. The beef was incredibly tender, but those crack shrimp stole the show--snappy, heavily seasoned, and completely addictive. You can clearly taste the quality of a high-end butcher shop in a casual, quick-service lunch.  The only reason I'm knocking off one star is the wait time and the seating is also pretty limited, so it's much better suited for a grab-and-go situation than a sit-down date night. That being said, the quality of the meat here blows standard sandwich joints completely out of the water. If you're in Burbank and want a lunch that actually feels high-quality and satisfying, do yourself a favor and drop in. I'm already eyeing the A5 Wagyu Cheesesteak for my next visit!

Nearby Point Point Joint closes by 7pm so Yelping made me discover that Island Pacific was in the same parking lot and closes at 9pm. I was a bit leary to try out Pacific Island food counter since, in general, it had only 3.4 Yelp stars, but for the items that I had selected, it turned out fine. The 3 item combo is a lot of food. It was enough for three meals which is a deal. 1) Lechon is roast pig with a delightful, extra thin, lightly crispy, crackling skin. Just underneath is a touch of gooey collagen that adds contrasting texture. The thick white meat is moist lush, porky with a hint of sweetness & pleasant chewiness. There are bits of flavourful fat interspersed here and there that adds to wanting to eat this with steamed white rice. 2) Hamonado: Pork rib meat is braised in brown Toyo/soy sauce, vinegar, patis/fish sauce, sugar. Long cooked meat is soft yet has a good chaw. It's kind of a sweet & sour dish that reminds me of a super charged Adobo stew. Another dish that begs to be paired with palate cleansing white rice. 3) Adobo na Manok: Solid chunks of chicken stewed in vinegar, Patís, Toyo with hints of garlic and ton of aromatic, piquant black pepper that really made this dish sing out. 4) Lumpiang Shanghai was already prefried so that the wheat wrapper around this thin roll filled with ground pork, garlic, Patís lost its crispness. But the flavours were solid. Standard accompaniment of thickened sweet sour sauce. 5) Bicol Express is a stew of fatty pork meat simmered in rich coconut milk. The flavours were good, but it was extremely salty which ruined this dish. Wish that the cooks would taste their own created dishes to monitor quality control. I will add vegetables and resimmer the Bicol to try to dilute the saltiness. Only real fail of the five due to carelessness. Btw, like most Malayo-Polynesian cultures, fat in food is considered be a flavour enhancer adding richness. Back in the day, the added calories fueled farmers and sailors to do the hard work. After all, this culture populated and traveled all the way to Madagascar, Hawai'i, New Zealand, Rapa Nui. They were the greatest sailors until 1,500 years later when European expansion with more modern technology finally eclipsed the daring Pacific Islanders. Pacific Island market is a good fall back alternative when I arrive too late for the Point Point Joint. I'll have to check out the rest of the market to see what other Filipino food products are available. 4- stars
