Very friendly staff--horrible prices. A 6-pack of Space Dust doesn't cost $19 anywhere else but here

Convenient location with easy street access. The best part of this place is their small craft beer selection.

The staff is friendly. But biggest gripe is their debit/credit card charge even if you buy anything over $10, $100 on up. That's ridiculous.

Closed at 1130pm on Cinco De Mayo????? Ridiculous. As far as I knew you should be open until midnight.

Return to Mission Wine & Spirits - North Glendale…read more Still an incredible layout, selection and one of my favorite Cigar Rooms/Humidors in the Greater LA area. Love the deals on their weekly specials including Irish Whiskey, Vodka, Wine, Craft Beer (as well as Domestic & Imported) and more! Open seven days a week from 9AM til 8PM Monday through Saturday and from 11AM to 4PM on Sundays. Issa is the manager here and a hell of guy! All the staff are personable as well as helpful. There's a nice lot as well as plenty of street parking. Somewhat have always preferred Mission Wine & Spirits to BevMo aka Beverages & More, Total Wine & More, or similar chains. Mission still feels like the neighborhood choice, with incredible prices, deals and service to match. Becoming somewhat of a cigar aficionado in the past year plus, with some guidance from my significant other. We stopped in together today and did some browsing as well as shopping. Him for Vodka to have at his place and me to have whiskey at mine. I spend a lot of time in Glendale and though they have two great locations, this one is my top choice hands down. There's just something a little more intimate and thoughtful here. Lots of beverage accessories, gift items and various things here you'll enjoy. Mixers, snacks, and various lottery things that make it nice to stop in and take in the magic of Mission. You can place orders online as well for pickup and/or delivery and they'll do their best to accommodate your needs, events, celebrations or leisure accumulation.

This small-ish sandwich shop located in Glendale feels family owned and operated…read more When you walk in, there's a counter you can order from. There's also a few dry goods along the aisles. The people here are super friendly and helpful. I ordered the real deal brisket pastrami sandwich. Such a delicious sandwich and the size is pretty large. I think it could have lasted me two different meals. Especially if I got a side or two with it. Definitely would love to come back to try some of the other sandwiches. The prices is here are pretty reasonable especially with lots of expensive sandwich shops out there these days.

I saw an Instagram post about a thick-cut wagyu pastrami hoagie. Well, the thick-cut pastrami isn't…read morea thing anymore. The pastrami is cut thin -- thin, but it's still good. What we ordered: 1) a create-your-own pastrami sandwich with mustard, pickles, and Swiss cheese, 2) their new pastrami cheesesteak. 3) a banana pudding (which I haven't tried yet) The standard pastrami hoagie good, but those kinds of pastrami sandwiches are pretty ubiquitous in SoCal-- pastrami, thinly sliced; maybe there's pickles, maybe there's mustard, maybe there's jus for a dip (their's is dry), on a French roll. I can get that kind of pastrami sandwich closer to me. On the other hand, a pastrami cheesesteak is NOT something you'd see around these parts. According to the menu, their cheesesteak has their signature pastrami, Cooper sharp cheddar, and onions on a hoagie roll. We preferred the pastrami cheesesteak over the standard, simply because of the novelty but also for the taste. The cheddar gave the cheesesteak a richness that a regular pastrami sandwich wouldn't have. Also, the melted cheddar had a binding effect on the pastrami; the meat stayed in the sandwich. You didn't end up with a third to half the pastrami ending up escaping the confines of the roll halves. The pastrami cheesesteak also included a 2oz serving cup of chipotle aioli which we really didn't need. The flavor on its own was enough for us. If I had a minor gripe on this cheesesteak, maybe a hit of acid would've been nice, but cheesesteaks usually lean toward rich and gooey so this sandwich's flavors and textures are par for the course. About the place itself: 1) the sandwich shop is on the corner of a major intersection, Lexington and Pacific 2) other than a driveway with a single space, it is ALL street parking. 3) there is NO parking on Pacific 4) the only dine-in option is a small porch with a couple of tables 5) be stage are all canned or bottled; there is no fountain The sandwiches are made to order. My order was given a wait time of 15 minutes but I'm pretty sure it was faster than that. I don't think I would drive all the way from the Rosemead area, but it's clearly a local's favorite. If we were in the area, we'd totally order the pastrami cheesesteak again, maybe with pepperonis. Their pastrami is no Langer's, but it's definitely a cut (no pun intended) over the standard Jim's 1/4 Lb or Rick's type joints. You can taste the care in its preparation. Overall, a really good sandwich place.
