The rest of the kids they were finishing they're afternoon snack. Amd my kid still crying in floor all her cloth was wet. Also tue food and snacks is not good at all Judge for your self, this was todays snack . I will love to pack Lunch and snack for my kid, if is necessary. But im not sending my kid there any more. I hope all parents are aware of the poor treatment their children receive in these facilities Teacher are so rude with the kids. Im so sad for the rest of the kids.

How is the gym like, big, small? Not worth coming?

Hi Jeannie, thanks for your interest in the Mission Y, unfortunately the Mission YMCA does not have a gym. However, we do offer a couple of group exercise classes, you can check out our group exercise class schedule on-line at…

I really wanted to love this gym since it's convenient and is a small business. However being a…read moremember has proved to be disappointing and I ultimately left this gym. Here are the main issues I had- -It's very cramped and can therefore get busy fast. -The cardio area in the front doesn't have enough air circulation or purification. However purification and circulation are a problem everywhere there. -Members regularly show up sneezing, coughing, and with runny noses. -The gym is unattended most of the time, and when staff are present they're glued to devices. The gym's own basic rules just go unenforced. -The equipment is regularly dirty and sweaty. The vast majority of members do not wipe off equipment after they have used it (much less before they use it.) And staff absolutely does not pick up the slack and clean off sweaty machines or provide even gentle reminders to members, in real time. Feels gross and makes it too easy to pick up colds, flu, Covid etc. -If you accidentally forget your water bottle you'll be totally out of luck! They only provide a bubbler- no cups. -There is not composting or recycling throughout the facility. Only the two cans by the entrance offer sustainable options. -Using their platform was difficult both from a cell phone and via the Safari browser. Like most other people in the Bay I'm an iPhone user so this proved to be inconvenient. -They milked me for another month when it was time to cancel. Their cancellation process is not straightforward and bought and you can be charged an entire month's membership, even if you cancel several days before the regular day your dues always deduct. It's a common feeling that if you cancel before your monthly renewal date, you should not be charged on the next renewal date. So to me it seems like their cancellation process is confusing and also is poor business practice, plain and simple. Really the only major perk here was that I could walk here. Ultimately this business might benefit from some local competition. I really don't recommend this gym and hope for Bernal's sake that they make some serious changes.

Every time I attempted to enter my fob did not work (when I picked it up I confirmed with the employee that it worked). I was so frustrated when this happened a second time I emailed the gym asking if someone could let me in. I was instructed that I needed to wait until staff hours by the founder. Since I don't work in the city I would not be able to meet them during those hours (11-12) This ended up causing some weird email and text argument with the founder who was so rude. I canceled my membership (considering I couldn't even use the gym I pay for) and was charged randomly 2X the expected charge. When I asked for an itemized receipt like any normal business can provide founder responded with the attached email. What a terrible way to do business. Avoid this gym.

I've always considered myself athletic, but never really could get into a good gym routine myself…read more I'd run a bit, bike a bit, but always very inconsistent. I found this gym 5 years ago (then known as Arena Ready) and I've been consistently going 3-4x/week during that whole time. The motto "just show up" rings true as that's all you need to do. Once you arrive the coaches lead you through a directed warmup (to prevent injury) and workout. I loved not having to think about anything and just doing what was programmed, plus everyday is different so it's never boring and truly full body. Now 5 years in, I've formed many family friendships through the gym and cannot wait until we can return to our indoor space! Whatever your fitness goals, you'll find a partner to help at Fog City!

I can't thank these guys enough for the great gym they run, and how chill they are. They aren't super intense caricatures of CrossFit people. Coach Alex especially, who has been my coach most often, is such an incredible teacher and dude. He has a keen eye and makes sure that people are showing good form, and the gym is overall great about offering "scaling" options - basically stepping down the workout for wherever you're at. Learned a ton about form and feel much more confidence in myself around strength training. I felt and sometimes looked different after even just 1 class. I like to drink a protein shake either before or right after to minimize sore muscles. I never thought I'd become a CrossFit person - I just started going because it was 2 mins from my house - but here I am hooked! Thanks FCCF!

Last year on Thanksgiving I had lower back injury that put me out of the gym for about a month or…read moreso. That was my first serious injury and I knew it was a bit of a wake up call and I had to prioritize my fitness and health. I contacted Fitness SF to get a membership and information on a trainer that specialized in getting back to it after an injury. After I signed up they assigned Albert as my trainer. Albert from day one explained the approach he would take to help build me back up after this injury. Albert put together a good plan that we have stuck to for the past few months. The results speak for themselves after training with him for almost three months now. He helped me tidy up my diet as well and I have gained 5lbs of muscle and lost 3lbs of fat. I feel stronger than I have in a while and my back is feeling 100%. While I had to do the work to get there, Albert was the X factor in the progress I have made. If you're lucky enough to have Albert as your trainer, expect to work hard and get real results!

Fitness SF SOMA is a great gym! Love that the location is near Costco, Trader Joe's and Rainbow if…read moreI have a lot of errands to run I can also hit those spots. I've been to the Transbay and Castro locations and am excited to see what they have in store for Polk. I have a friend that likes to swim at their Fillmore location as well. I adore the dog room they have at SOMA and it always brightens my day seeing the cute furry faces. I feel like this gym is a lil pricey without the special, with the special I have its about $100/month, on their website it's $135ish rn. The most I've paid in the city was $125 and that was a family owned small business. I wouldn't pay $135 tbh. I do appreciate that there are multiple locations you can go to and experience tho. SOMA is my go to as it has the most equipment and free weights and is closer to me. Trans bay does feel a lot cleaner and newer but also I feel like I'm walking up and down a lot and the flow of the machines isn't as good imo. Castro is pretty tiny ngl but they can't really control that. During busy times the wait for machines isn't too long and there's more duplicates of equipment compared to the other locations I've been to. Plenty of squat racks on both sides of the gym with platforms which is really nice and 3 different areas with free weights. They provide chalk which has helped me with my lifts and grip strength goals. I do think the locker rooms for the women could be modernized a little more like transbay but it's good for what it is tbh as they provide feminine products and hair dryers. I do want to try the sauna and massage chairs. I've also used the InBody scanner and theraguns. The SOMA location also has ample parking nearby that isn't paid parking so that's nice too and also a Lyft bike stop. I have had a friend who's light was stolen outside tho so I would be mindful if you're biking here. Overall, would recommend if it's in your budget and you are nearby. Random but I loved how they decorated it during Pride wish it was like that all year lmao Anyways I will say I agree with the other reviewers about BO but it's a gym and ppl get musty/musky, you might smell some B.O. occasionally but it's temporary and then you end your workout seeing an adorable doggo so then you forget lolll
