I did a quick call with Andrew to go over what I was looking for in a sitter, how long Maverick needed to be watched and shared more about his personality. After the call, I completed an Intake form with all of Maverick's information which included his veterinarian details and copy of his vaccine records. The process was so organized and reassuring. Before the actual sitting day, we set up a meet-and-greet with Andrew and Stephanie so we could see where Maverick would be staying and get to know them both. Their space was great and it was clear they're a team who truly cares about the pets they host. On the day of the sit, we received many picture and video updates throughout Maverick's time with them. They took him on multiple walks which helped alleviate some of his anxious tendencies. This gave us so much peace of mind. He was tired out by the time we got home! Stephanie and Andrew were incredibly accommodating, detailed and easy to work with. We were grateful they were able to squeeze us in on such short notice! Payment was simple and convenient. They offer multiple payment options and I was able to pay with Zelle with no problem. I understand that they are their own business and have their own rules, but imagine if this was a real child or if I planned a vacation and you left me stranded without a sitter because you couldn't call me with any information, and left me a message justifying the reasons why which could've been mitigated. The frustration you have left me in a state of stress and panic all because you felt uncomfortable about a landlord being on the property attending his building maintenance and as he asked you who he was you failed to mention to him you are a pet sitter. Which I specifically told you to let other others know that your pet sitter because you're in the grass area if you happen to run into anybody. You didn't tell me about all of this until after the fact, and I could've called my landlord within seconds to let him know you're a pet sitter simple! And this is what I mean that it's very unprofessional and you don't know how to manage any challenges that come your way.

My Toula has been with A Bark Idea since she was NINE WEEKS old (she'll be 3 years in December!) and it's been such an amazing place for her! She is so well-cared for and EVERY SINGLE PERSON that works there genuinely LOVES your pup!!! Toula went through training when she first started and we still practice at home all the time. She's such a good girl and has very good manners! When I have to board her, I know I am leaving her in the BEST environment and care. I can go on vacation (or have surgery!) without worrying about her. She's not crated and just walked a few times a day. She is playing with her buddies (human and furry friends!) and living her best life! The locations are clean and she has NEVER gotten sick or had an injury. Toula spent the day in MDR; I'm trying to figure out how to get her there (at least once a week!) given I work/live in the South Bay. I think being in a different location is good for her and she'll meet new friends (maybe your fur baby?). :) A Bark Idea is truly Toula's home away from home!
