Horrible company. Do not do business with them. I paid $4400 to have electrician come out. He left dirt piles all around my house, left a hole in my wall, installed a second switch next to existing switch because he was to lazy to fix the right way. Crooked switches left all over my house, electrician told me price included adding a outlet in my laundry room above counter. When I asked electrician about it when he went to leave he said he forgot to charge me for it and if I wanted it he would have to charge me another $400. After electrician left we found open exposed wires hanging out of the wall. Which could have caused injury to my 2 young kids. Trying to deal with these people afterwards was a nightmare. They damaged my home but would only send someone out to repair the drywall but do nothing with the paint. They told me I was on my own to fix the paint. They refused to even fix the drywall unless I deleted the bad Facebook review I left. I had to file a claim with their insurance company and they refuse to even call the adjusted handling the claim back. Please don't make the same mistake I made. They might be the on time electrician but that doesn't mean the work will be done correctly! read more

Amazing service for a difficult job. Devon came out and really did some great work. He installed two antique ceiling lamps and diagnosed and repaired a blown GFCI outlet. He was meticulous and treated our fixtures and home as if they were his own. The prices were fair and competitive. Any more electrical work that I will need will be done by the folks at Mister Sparky. We were very grateful for their quick and excellent service - everything from the initial contact to the final settling of the bill. Called them because a few lights were not working in the house. I was told on the phone that there was no service charge and the would diagnose the problem and I was at no obligation to have the repair done. When the technician arrived it was a different story I was told that it would be a minimum of $306.75 for a small repair like a light switch, receptacle etc..... It turned out to be a loose wire at one of the breakers he repaired it. He was there for roughly an hour. He was nice guy but not worth $306.75 to repair a wire. Mother's house had a broken wire at the service entrance resulting in no 240v appliances working and only half the 120v outlets working. Mr Sparky at first quoted over $4000 to "do it right"!!! We refused that offer so they reduced it to $875 to just do the "bare minimum". I researched the price of material to be about $30, so we rejected that quote also. We called another local company to do the work. Final charge = $185 and done in 90 minutes. When I told the second tech about the huge estimate, he replied "It was Mr Sparky, right?". He then explained that the techs there are salesmen working on a commission and that they prey on elderly customers like my 95 year old mom. Shame on them! read more

These folks aren't even worth one star. I purchased my first home and needed a dryer outlet installed which happened to be less than 2 feet from the electrical box and they charged me $700! I didn't know at the time what the going rate was but after 3 quotes afterwards to see if I was "taken" it was confirmed! Any other company is better. They lied and completely took advantage of me. They got my money but they'll never have my future business! This place is a disgrace!! read more

This morning we were informed that a technician would be out here between 2:15 and 2:40 pm. The technician actually arrived a little early. :) We needed 2 fans installed as one stopped working and the other room needed a fan. We had a technician named Ryan who explained why the old one went bad and was able to assemble the fans quickly and they worked perfectly. First, he respected my property by placing booties on his shoes (I normally have to tell technicians to do this). The best part is when (for no additional charge) Ryan went above and beyond his job to then reprogram one of the fans (these weren't the kind with switch settings) as I realized another fan by the same manufacturer was also being controlled by the new fan remote. I have now dubbed him Super Ryan! Thanks Mister Sparky!!! read more

Brett from Mr Sparky just left and did an excellent job! Arrived on time and knew a lot about electricity. Put on his plastic red baggies to keep dirt off my floor. Very professional company and surprised I had never heard d their name bore. Left with all the boxing materials so as not to leave any junk behind. I had a so called electrician come out and tried to replace and GFI outlet and switch and could not figure how to put it back together again so i called Mr sparky to get the job finished as the GFI feed the switch to my bathroom and and also my kitchen the tech came out and got my bathroom and kitchen light up but 2 outlets are now dead and that tech took my 10 gauge green 50 foot extension cord and Dewitt work light and the tech Denys taking it but no no one has been in the house besides me since the job so I just he moved it out of the bathroom but look for it from sunup as that my for my electric lawnmower. read more

During a storm that left power out for over 8 hours our main breaker spring broke 7/10/2017. We did an after hours call which was $129 which is reasonable. The 100 amp breaker switch part that was installed cost $35 at Lowe's (same part #) Kevin the repair man was at our home working less than 18 mins. Then he went outside and sat in his work truck for about 20-30 mins. He did not give us a detailed work order or receipt. As of 7/15/2017 we still do not have either. However our card was charged $677. My Husband called the main office later that Tuesday morning. He knew that the price was very wrong. Office man said that they would give us a credit $200 on my card. He also agreed that the part only cost $35 but the other $460 was the cost of the 3 year warranty.... When husband called the office back they changed their mind and said that they would only refund us $90 and give us a $100 credit to use then again. I would never use this company again and I will tell all the people that I know not to use them. husband told the man that is not what he agreed to. So then he became very nasty and said that he wasn't going to give us anything back! Now he could have done that due to husband being a senior, over 57 years old, maybe it was because that is just how they do business. Before husband retired he ran a multi million dollar business for over 25 years and never took advantage of anybody like this before regardless of age, race, or nationality. We are shocked that this is allowed to happen in Pinellas County Florida. There should be a law against price gouging during storms in Florida or any other state. read more

The electrician didn't know what he was doing. We googled this company and thought they were legit. Charged us way over the normal prices and then found out it wasn't even the timer after they convinced us it was the problem. Pool company came out and showed us the shut off switch $564 dollars later and there would be no refund. They are a rip off company and don't know what they are doing and are totally over priced. This is an advertising scheme and you and I are paying for it........One star is being generous here. It's the lowest I could give.... read more

Mister Sparky teaches all their employees the art of the ripoff. They are only there to up sell and care nothing about you or your electrical problem. I was told that if the job was not listed in their price guide it would be 300.00 PER HOUR!! Total ripoff, use a local electric co. and save a fortune. The general manager Garry claims to be 3rd generation electrician with 18 years exp. but is only 34 yrs. old and has been in the office teaching the ripoff for 3 yrs. So I guess he started when he was 13 yrs. old? Well educated huh? read more

I was at a friend's house in Palm Harbor, when I turned on a light switch for the kitchen, the light in the living room would flicker. I called Mister Sparky to see what it would cost for them to come out. My sister's house burned down due to an electrical problem a year before so I was nervous for me friend. It was a $59 service fee, that seemed reasonable. When the Electrician got there he said it would be $125 to assess and fix the problem. Within minutes he found a wore out old outlet in the kitchen with lose wires. He said he would put in a new GFS. That outlet was tied into another GFS so he replaced both. He also put a GFS in the bathroom. He wasn't there an hour. I was shocked when I got the bill and it was over $460. He did have me sign something saying what he was doing but there were no prices on this sheet of paper. I naively thought ....that can't cost too much for three outlets, after all the $125 was to find the problem and fix it. This was in April or May and I was embarrassed to question it, I really felt like a dummy and that I had been had. Today I am looking for an electrician and felt compelled to share this experience.
