The first load, several years ago, seemed to contain larger pieces, and less 'debris', but as it has been years, it honestly could be the same, so take that with a grain of salt if you will. There is a delay of weeks between ordering kiln dried and delivery. Just about the time I was expecting the delivery, I received a call that they had the truck loaded up and the recipient refused the order due to some emergency, and would I be available to take it. It happened that I was home, and available to stack wood on the day he called, so I accepted the load. It does seem to be a full load, that is, 1 cord, and as I stated, the pieces all seem a bit on the small side: not in length, but in girth. Kiln dried is, as stated, dried, so the pieces are smaller- that is expected. These just seem a bit too small from memory of the last delivery. We have had an opportunity to burn a couple of times and the wood lights right up and burns longer as kiln dried does without needing to restock the insert. All in all, we are happy to have kiln dried firewood. the delivery was within the timeline expected, the driver accepts cash or check (no credit cards) and he dumped it right where we asked him to without incident.

The very next day I had a meeting to discuss the numerous trees, shrubs, branches, and limbs that I needed removed from my property. Not only did the communication go well, there were a number of terrific suggestions made, to clean up my landscape/property , that I hadn't even considered. What a fabulous experience!!!! Mike came out and gave a quote on Monday (first the desk person told me he…read morewould just be calling in Monday to set up a time to come out, what I got was a call from him on Monday saying he would be at my house in fifteen minutes, that lack of communication should have been enough of a red flag). He then pushed for me to schedule for the job to be done that Wednesday or Thursday. I told him I needed to talk to my wife as the job was going to cost $4,000. He told me that if i agree to it, he will put it in the schedule, but I can cancel it if needed, no worries. I agreed but asked for it to be scheduled the following week instead of this week. On Tuesday Night, I looked over our finances and other projects and decided we needed to push this project out. I reached out to Mike on Wednesday morning and told him I needed to cancel and would have to look at doing this in the spring or summer. He pushed to keep the job, when I told him I can't do it at this time, he wanted to know what the other projects were and then flipped out claiming the work was scheduled to be done that day (Wednesday, two days after the quote) I never agreed to have work done this week, he never reached out about scheduling for next week, like I had requested or even told me he planned to do the work this Wednesday. He just planned to show up without my knowledge or permission to be on my property and start cutting down trees. Avoid this company at all costs.

Pete and his crew did an excellent job cutting down our neighbor's tree. Our corner lot property…read morehas no trees. Yet every year my family has to rake and rake and rake. In the spring we are constantly dodging hanging caterpillars. Then we spend about $60/ month for unlimited car washes for 2 vehicles. The caterpillar castings and tons and tons of bird poop land on our cars. The castings are almost impossible to remove in the first car wash and we often use the car wash service two times in a row. The tree was also ugly. Very ugly. I believe it was a maple. But it was misshapen. And diseased. The bark was all moldy and gross. It had rotting limbs in the center. A major limb fall into the street this year, causing power to go out for a few hours in our neighborhood. We got a quote from Southern 401. It was a great price. Although we only intended to cut our overhanging limbs, Southern 401 advised us that it would cause the tree to become extremely unstable because of the imbalance in weight. So we explained it to our neighbor and made a deal. These guys have been taking their time, taking care not to hit our fence which is pretty much right next to the tree. They've been stacking up the useable firewood -even stacking them up cross cross. They blew all of the saw dust off our property and swept up all of the leaves and twigs. I made them lunch and had some time to chit chat. They're really nice guys. I'd recommend them to all of my friends!
