So, I happened to speak to Crissy, the owners wife, about a quick mow. I would do the rest. We exchanged numbers like just a couple neighbors and was told I was put on the list. They showed up just like she said and it was a whole team! They made the yard look great! They even did my neighbors yard (we live in a duplex with a shared yard) for no extra charge. After settling down, I wanted to do a little landscaping. Again, I contacted Crissy about the yard. Literally that day, I was welcomed to come on down and look through what they have to get ideas for my project. I spoke to John, (the owner) and he's just as friendly. We chatted, I got what I needed and was on my way. I now have an amazing patio that looks beautiful and didn't cost an arm and a leg. From the amount of Holmes trucks coming and going, I can tell they're a very busy company. But, again, they're people too. After he dumped and drove away, I broke open a couple oak logs, they were at 42% moisture, completely unusable for at least another year. Have only used this company twice for kiln dried firewood with a large gap of years between the two…read moredeliveries. The first load, several years ago, seemed to contain larger pieces, and less 'debris', but as it has been years, it honestly could be the same, so take that with a grain of salt if you will. There is a delay of weeks between ordering kiln dried and delivery. Just about the time I was expecting the delivery, I received a call that they had the truck loaded up and the recipient refused the order due to some emergency, and would I be available to take it. It happened that I was home, and available to stack wood on the day he called, so I accepted the load. It does seem to be a full load, that is, 1 cord, and as I stated, the pieces all seem a bit on the small side: not in length, but in girth. Kiln dried is, as stated, dried, so the pieces are smaller- that is expected. These just seem a bit too small from memory of the last delivery. We have had an opportunity to burn a couple of times and the wood lights right up and burns longer as kiln dried does without needing to restock the insert. All in all, we are happy to have kiln dried firewood. the delivery was within the timeline expected, the driver accepts cash or check (no credit cards) and he dumped it right where we asked him to without incident.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this but I think Mark should hear what a loyal customer has…read moreto say. Mark and our family have confidently working together for nearly 30 years with no complaints. He and his men had always been careful cutting trees for us and not leaving a trace once their work was finished. This last time that Mark came to take down a few trees, we noticed a significant difference in his men's workmanship. Upon arrival, I took Mark out onto my deck and specifically asked him to only cut a specific tree down to the height of the adjacent fence. He said he understood. Mark's crew were cutting limbs and letting them crash against our deck leaving indented marks and scuffs on 3 or 4 banisters that we had just had stained. Their carelessness eventually resulted in a full break of one section of our deck railing and spokes and apparently never told Mark. When he called to get paid, I asked him what he wanted to do about the broken portion of the deck and he didn't know what I was talking about. I think what disappointed me the most was Mark's neglect to follow through on my request to only cut the tree closest to the fence to the same height as the fence. I had plans for that one. When I pointed out that it had been cut to the ground, Mark said, "Well, now you can get creative". No apology!! At the end of the day, Mark should have at least apologized and/or offered to take some money off the quoted price for everything that I just I have described- as a gesture of good will. But nothing!! So now I have a deck with marked up bannisters to remind me that Krawiec Tree Service no longer has the same quality of service that we used to count on. March, 2025 R.R
