Paid $350 for a half a cord of kiln dried hardwood. I was told it was all oak and hickory. Perfect for smoking meat, is what I was told. The wood is clean but definitely not dried. The wood hissed and popped letting off more black smoke than I have ever seen. $400 worth of meat ruined because I was given "green" wood. Will never use this place again. Have only used this company twice for kiln dried firewood with a large gap of years between the two deliveries. The first load, several years ago, seemed to contain larger pieces, and less 'debris', but as it has been years, it honestly could be the same, so take that with a grain of salt if you will. There is a delay of weeks between ordering kiln dried and delivery. Just about the time I was expecting the delivery, I received a call that they had the truck loaded up and the recipient refused the order due to some emergency, and would I be available to take it. It happened that I was home, and available to stack wood on the day he called, so I accepted the load. It does seem to be a full load, that is, 1 cord, and as I stated, the pieces all seem a bit on the small side: not in length, but in girth. Kiln dried is, as stated, dried, so the pieces are smaller- that is expected. These just seem a bit too small from memory of the last delivery. We have had an opportunity to burn a couple of times and the wood lights right up and burns longer as kiln dried does without needing to restock the insert. All in all, we are happy to have kiln dried firewood. the delivery was within the timeline expected, the driver accepts cash or check (no credit cards) and he dumped it right where we asked him to without incident. read more

We have used this company for years for firewood, however the last shipment, their truck hit our basketball backboard and knocked it to the ground. They came and put it back on the pole, but it was uneven. They were not professional and did not come back to fix it. We ended up getting a whole new basketball system. They were not kind, were not apologetic, were not responsive and would not come back even though it was uneven. I am now going to use a new company for my firewood this year. Not professional to damage personal property and not fix it. Bad service. read more

Bob was polite and accommodating in setting up a time for me to drop by, and sold me enough dry, seasoned firewood to fill my station wagon for around what it costs to fill up my gas tank. My neighbor and I shared Verrier Tree Service, to cut down a number of trees that had grown in the thicket of a backyard, which I permitted to become wildly out of control. Verrier also mulched,with large tractor mulcher, vines, branches, leaves. Verrier thoughtful crew moved my neighbor's shed and were very helpful in explaining how it would fare better if elevated on concrete blocks. Price was right. Had hired Verrier to trim several trees on my property and the overgrowth from a neighbouring yard. Bob Verrier showed up with 3 very hard working men. They took special care to protect my front grass and roses, continuously checked in with me to see if I wanted more removed as they went along, and left my yard in perfect condition. They even raked my grass so the impressions of the tire guard mats were gone! I had drainage issues with one spot in my gutters and they went up and blew everything clear..fantastic. This kiln dried firewood is the absolute BEST that I have ever burned in my wood stove. It is so dry that it burns extremely hot and long, without any smoke or musty odor whatsoever. Another benefit is that it can be stored indoors because there are no bugs. Well worth the little extra money. read more
