They took our deposit to install 2 new doors. Per the contract it would take 6 to 12 weeks to receive and install the doors. After 12 weeks with no contact, we tried to call. We had to leave messages and never received a call back. The middle of December we receive an email that they cannot find a company to purchase the doors from and it will take another 3 months. I then did a bit of research and found out they are out of business. They were taking deposits from many customers knowing they couldn't honor the contract. I was promised a front door replacement in October and never received it. When my front storm/ screen door was replaced they used silver framing for my white door and did not attach it securely on the top portion, so it droops and hits into the frame side with the latch. I never want what happened to us to ever happen to anyone ever again We understand that accidents can happen during any home improvement project -- but what we experienced with Mister Window goes far beyond simple mistakes. This entire process, which started in May and is still unresolved in October, has been nothing short of a nightmare. One of our windows didn't even fit properly, and the sliders had to be replaced twice due to repeated measurement errors. The stucco on our walls was ruined, and the excessive, sloppy use of caulk made the finished work look completely unprofessional. The craftsmanship was absolutely terrible -- uneven, careless, and not at all what you'd expect from a company that calls itself experienced. There were numerous instances where workers showed up but were unable to do the work they were scheduled to complete, leading to wasted time and even more delays. Add to that the inconsistent communication and complete lack of professionalism, and you have a truly frustrating experience. We were told multiple times that things would be corrected, but most of those promises never turned into action. At this point, it feels like we've literally thrown $35,000 out the window. If you value good work ethic, clear communication, and timely installation, I strongly recommend avoiding Mister Window. Mr. Window  has been an embarrassment.  If it was my company I would be ashamed.  * grommets that were not installed properly and pulled right out of the ground  * two no shows for appts, with no call to explain what happened.   * all the paperwork and contracts had windows and door info, nothing about the barriers. * Have one damaged barrier and bag, said they would replace it, but still have not. The sales guy was nice, but unfortunately, it was straight downhill after that. They kept having to reschedule installation day. Communication with the office crew is awful. They don't respond. We finally set up my third inspection as the first two failed . Another day having to wait at home with an 8 to 4pm time frame and no one showed. !! If you would prefer a nice pleasurable window replacement experience, I recommend going with a different company. My sister and her husband just had their windows done with a different company and they finished the install in two days AND got their passed inspection first time. I would give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT use Mr. Windows!!! They are AWFUL to work with. The sales man said it would be 4-6 weeks, it actually took almost 4 months to get my doors installed. They charged top dollar, they have no idea where they are at with finishing up my doors. I keep telling them what is not finished, they make appointments for county inspection, don't inform me of them, then charge me for missing it. AND since the doors still aren't done, they wouldn't have even passed the inspection with the county. But somehow they think they are justified in charging me $150 for missing an appointment that shouldn't have been made in the first place, THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN TELL ME ABOUT!!! Furious with this company, I absolutely hate them and hopefully people reading this comment will call someone else for your door and window needs. read more

Our positive experience with Mister Window started with Mitch, our sales rep. Mitch was a genuine, intelligent, and congenial individual. And best of all, not at all pushy. We met with several businesses before deciding on Mister Window, due as much to their reputation, as to Mitch's presentation. And it gets better. A week later we met with the sales engineer, Tim. As it turned out, Tim was an actual engineer, previously working for NASA. Talk about qualified! All in all, so,far we are having a great experience, and can't wait for the install, which we hope will be sometime in late July. I'll follow up then! read more

Mister Window came out in Feb took a 50% deposit for my front window that was damaged by Hurricane Ian and since then I can't get an honest answer as to why the permit is not issued or when they will be installing. They don't return your calls and just give you the run around. I'm more than frustrated!! I issued a review that seems to be gone now. I would not recommend Mister Window. What a disappointment , they started off strong with a great salesperson, Kristen, but flopped dramatically with the rest of the process. First a 6 to 12 week potential lead time turned into 22 weeks. Contract signed on Aug 26, scheduled this past week on the 16th after leaving messages. Poor communication and poor response made the situation more frustrating . The excuses were the hurricaine and PGT not delivering on time, ok, some valid issues there. However, it gets worse. Deliver without one insert and the storm screen ( I recommend not ordering that item from them, too many problems). Crew was friendly and courteous but they had to leave the job unfinished due to a missing P-hook, it seals one side of a slider. So potentially another 2 weeks, maybe more, and the final inspection is on hold till that is installed, more delays. Some issues with imperfections filled in with caulk and materials left laying by the pool that will be needed for the completion. A real mess and immeasurable frustration. The only bright side is that we elected to have the sliders done and the windows at a later date, just to see how they would do. Well they failed that test and won't be getting the rest of the business . If you are looking for impact windows, find someone that will do a better job. read more

Mr. window is definitely not the best window company. They started off with my first window installation with the wrong window and I knew there was gonna be problems right away and there was ,the crew broke glass and didn't clean it up on the pool deck. I had cleaned it up on top of everything else. They broke a blind that needed to be replaced. They lost all the screws and hardware to the blinds that they took down from my windows then it took six months to get a bathroom window replaced when they said it would take three weeks because it was all scratched. I also ordered three doors to look alike with the blinds in inside, the hurricane proof doors and received the doors with no blinds with the rounded molding that I ordered and then the pool door has the flat trim with the blinds in it ,among everything else on a Sunday some guy shows up and knocks on my door at 8 o'clock in the morning smelling of alcohol, actually broke through my fence and came to my back yard without a phone call. I was so upset and scared !! I asked him why he was here on my property and he says to check and see if the crew did a good job! I said on a Sunday oh my God you need to leave I told that man! I have been doing nothing but trying to get my doors completed. I never pay companies upfront, but I did this one because they had a hard time and would not send me the application in the mail. Everything had to be done on the computer when I'm not computer literate. I asked them to mail it and they said they don't work like that so to top everything off at 0% interest for 18 months which I was hoping I would get which I did not get ,so I said fine. I'll just put it on my credit cards and they wouldn't start the job until they got the money upfront which I thought was ridiculous. I always was raised you pay half and the other half is when they finish. I went ahead and paid them all the money up front and now I can't get my proper doors installed. They make up some kind of excuse that the manufacturers can't give me what I ordered when I called the next day and told them I wasn't happy because the guys worked there till 630 7 o'clock at night and when I called the next day to complain about the doors not matching and that I was wondering where my blinds were and they didn't get back to me right away ,so this has been going on now for almost a year. I have stickers all over my windows. I can't clean my windows and they don't want me taking stickers off anything? I have not had no inspection because it's not gonna pass anyway because of my doors not being what I ordered. I am very unhappy with this company. I've talked to 25 different people and nobody is helping me solve my door issue ! i've talked to three different managers and not one person wants to help me ! on top of everything I had my application filled out and ready to submit so I can get my $10,000 government grant ,and with these guys putting it off and putting it off my bathroom window and my three doors that need to be the proper doors which now I have doors that I did not order I have lost my government grant money. This company is probably the worst in all my life I've ever dealt with and I've been in this business around this business for years. I would never recommend this window company to a soul or anyone ever .....they take your money and they don't finish the job!!!!! I will be taking them to small claims and and I'm gonna contact the licensing people, the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General I'm a senior citizen and they took advantage of me and all I've asked them to do is to give me what I ordered and if they didn't have what I ordered, they should've called me the next day when the young man took the measurements and took my order for the doors This is the most incompetent window company ever. read more

Made an appointment about 10 days ahead of schedule for a duplex we own. Made plans with the tenants to get access and confirmed. Day before the appointment a manager phoned me telling me that she was 'from the call center'. She told me she wanted to be transparent and tell me that they were not the cheapest supplier and she kept telling me that they are not the right supplier for everyone. She seemed sure that we would not be able to afford or would not choose them. She pretended not to have access to details on installation and window price. Then when I still told her I was aware of window costs and asked for more information on their prices she didn't want to disclose anything other than a huge range in price of $1000-2000 per window. Thanks, even I can figure that out. Finally she said that they would charge me $250 for the quote and if I took the quote they would apply the money to my purchase. WHAT???? Their website says free quote so why the bait and switch? When I challenged her on why I was not told at the outset that there was a charge for a quote, she tried to blame it on the lady who made the appointment being new. She continued constantly with the line that they are not the right fit for everyone as a company. I guess they are so busy that don't want new business? Fortunately I was able to make an appointment with another company for the time -- very important because I had one of the tenants take time off to be there -- they don't want people in their place without them being there. This company definitely offers a free quote. I then phoned back Mr Window after seeing that the website says free quote and asked why I was asked to pay $250. I was told the lady who phoned was the manager and he didn't want to answer but it was clear that they do NOT charge $250 and the lady used that to try to get me to cancel. Strange business practice? Not sure why she could decide up front that we couldn't afford her services, but I will not pay for a quote when other companies do not charge and you do not normally charge. As a consumer I have the right to compare quotes, so if you are unwilling to quote for free, than disclose that when setting appointments, not the day before the appointment. Maybe she looked at the house on google, which for some reason shows a photo of the very small house next door which has boarded up windows from hurricane season. From that photo she decided we could not possibly have the money to pay for her windows? Oh well, we'll definitely never use her and pass on the bad service to our other investor friends. read more

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company. The communication is terrible, and there was a major mistake made with my order. When I asked for it to be corrected, they told me that because I had signed the contract , the mistake was on me. As if I am supposed to double check their work. I trusted my salesman completely as he was the VP of sales. Unfortunately he was fired shortly afterwards because they said he was dishonest. Yet they still blame the mistake on me! On top of that, there were other sloppy mistakes made that had to be corrected. I worked for over 3 weeks with a supervisor trying to resolve this problem to no resolution. I don't know if it was the CEO or the owner that I ​finally emailed, but he refused to sit down and talk to me or speak to me over the phone. His resolution offer to me was to spend more money on a new unit at a discount. Meanwhile I'm stuck with the $5k unit I already purchased!! When I left a negative review on google, I immediately got a response saying they were very sorry, and that they don't run a business this way and would like to speak with me to resolve the issue. The owner came and toured the property with the Maintenace Manager, Jeff. Many of the older houses utilized in our program were built in the 1920's and several units on campus still had the old-style hand crank windows which were becoming difficult to repair. The team identified all the windows in the most need of repair for the bid. Their prices were not only fair, Mister Window also generously offered to donate all the labor for the installation, and they got us a discount on the windows which saved us over $50,000! Our Maintenace Manager said, "Mister Window was an excellent company to work with. They were friendly, cleaned up after themselves and did a fantastic job. Now the residents are safer, more secure, and energy bills will go down plus they look great!"
