Called for an estimate on cracked window and they charge $80 for service call. They wrote estimate for whole sash including two pieces of glass, muttons and glazing. They came with only one piece of glass and no muttons. During installation that cracked and left a mess behind. Came back weeks later to install another piece of glass with a complete mess of overgrazing that we had to work on for an hour to clean up and finger prints. Very unprofessional job for supposedly being in business for 30 years, They rewrite your estimate after they complete their disaster of installation and try to add an extra $550 in labor but they broke the first piece of glass. They then threaten to put a lien on your house if you don't pay it. Stay far away from this company! The worst!!! read more

My 90 year young Mother couldn't open her sliding glass door. The two technicians that visited her were very polite, professional and genuinely cared about her issue. They fixed the problem and advised her to call if there was anything else needed. The price was extremely fair! Very happy!! read more

Very unprofessional, refused to give firm quote only estimated,. No written contract , added hours and installed a defective window their technician confirmed. If you want to be treated like you're a worthless customer step right up! Never in my life have I experienced such disrespect. They'll argue with you, always have an excuse. I'm an elderly gentleman and I've never hired such an unprofessional group in my lifetime. After my wife Laura passed, improving my home brought me great joy. I had people come out and do fantastic work and treat me nicely. Not this team. They kept messing up and then blaming me. I paid a good deal. I worked hard in my life for my money. One of my condo windows cracked (possible due to a large bird) and I contacted Bradenton Window (BW) for an estimate. One of their employees with 40+ years experience came out and measured the window and offered suggestions to replace it with either clear or gray glass. I opted for clear as the cracked window had been tinted. The glass came in but it turned out to be 1/16" thinner than the one being replaced. They installed it since the cracked glass had been removed but I notified BW (Jane) that I had expected like size glass to be replaced. The tinting must have thrown off the measurement and Jane agreed to order a replacement piece of glass of the correct size to be installed free of charge. The replacement arrived in less than 1 month and the installation has been completed. Classy, customer focused business organization in offering a replacement free of charge! read more

On October 25, 2017, R D Smith came out and measured my Windows for hurricane proof windows. We had an informative and interesting talk on their services. He left and said he would get back to me with a quote. Never happened . I called twice and was told they would get back to me (they were busy). Finally after a month and a half, someone who acts as though he has known me all my life (Hi Jim ) explains how busy they are (no apology) that my quote is still not available. I then informed the gentleman that I was no longer in need of their services. In that waiting period I had investigated other companies and had signed a contract with Grayhawk Windows who has already satisfied my questions and requests. As if that wasnt enough, I went to the actual location where I was suprised at the rodent problem the building had. They came rapidly to do an estimate and completed the job within the week. They were very professional and assumed the financial loss attributable to an error in measuring the window opening. They found a good solution to a particular problem that we had with a large window getting hit by golf balls. From the installation of one slider and three windows in 2017, it took 10 months to finally complete the job to as satisfactory a condition as possible. Was not satisfied with job. We had a retractable screen door installed. First we had to call a few times for an installation date and time. The installers showed up 30 minutes before end of time frame and then did not have everything to do job. They came back the next day with unpainted trim and installed retractable on the unpainted trim. They did'nt miter the trim and just boxed it. Real professional! Also they were sloppy with the caulk. Not satisfied with workmanship for the price of screen and installation. Would not recommend them read more

Yes, my recent experience was "As good as it gets"! I chose this business for replacing my 4 old builder grade sliding glass door sets. Their cost estimate ($6000 less than 2 other estimates) and timeline estimate for product delivery then installation (5 wks as opposed to 12 wks) were the reasons. In 4 wks, my product was in. WOW. Installation was handled by a 3 man crew who, by my estimation, work very very well together. Doug and Craig and Charles. They figured out the old sets and figured out the new sets. It took a day a set ... they spent some time here for sure. Am I happy with the new doors or what???? EXCELLENT product...excellent craftsmanship by the 3 guys...excellent end result. Doug's caulking step made the whole project even better! It's always fun to watch a professional at work. I LOVE MY NEW DOORS. I will definitely use this business when I am ready to replace my builder grade windows in the rest of my house. read more

I called to have a broken window repaired and screens replaced.(rescreened) First, the good. I am pleased with the window repair and the screens. Now, the not good. I phoned and was told about the service call fee, a prelimary window cost and an estimated hourly rate to do the actual repairs. About a week went by before they phoned again to make an appointment. They came out and measured the small window and we walked around the house counting and measuring the screens. Then he starts talking about new frames, and I said What???? My frames are fine, they just need to be rescreened. They tell me they will have to call me back with the cost. They call back. I realize we had never talked about color or material. He had picked black screens for my white house. I changed the color. I asked if there would be additional charges such as hourly rate or service call. I was told no. I received the cost of the window pane. I asked what the hourly charge would be. I was told he didnt see it to be over half an hour, and estimated it to be $30. I said fine. They told me I had to prepay $150.00 A week or so later, they call to do the work. They show up later than I was told they would be there. They take the small window to the truck for the repair and replace the broken pain.They reinstall the window. They were ready to leave and I had to remind them about the screens. They take the 10 screens with them. They tell me the screen tabs should be on the outside of the window so they would be easier to remove. (For me and for burglers, i reply) They tell me they will be back in TWO days to reinstall the screens. I reclarify there would be no service/hourly rate additions. A week goes by and a woman calls to make an appointment to reinstall the acreens. I tell them it is fine to come while I am not home. She tells they will install the screens with the tabs out. I tell her no, on the inside. They come and install the screens. All good. I am happy. Now the UGLY!! The woman calls back for the remainder of the bill. She gives me the total. I said where did that number come from? She broke it down. 10 screens 136.08...as we agreed to initially 1 window pane for 69.98, again as agreed. Service call $58 as agreed. Hourly rate 120.00. I said what... I was quoted $30. She replies 'there were 2 guys on the repair, 60$,an hour each.. I repeat noone said it was per person and not even close to what i was quoted. Too bad, basically. I feel ripped off of $90. and taken advantaged of. I would not recommend this company for big jobs. As to repair a broken window, not many places do that work anymore. read more
