Got my shutters on about 4 years ago. So nice to have then during Ian. We all felt safe and had no issues. Best money I have ever spent and I can close up my entire house, including the 20 foot span in the back BY MYSELF. I am 5'2" and 69 year old woman. So its nice to have that independence and not have to have my son come over to do it for me. They still look like new after all this time. Before I even called Armored Dade Windows & Shutters(ADW&S), I fully researched their reviews to find out if they'll make my list of 4 estimates for my Hurricane Protection Project. Virtually every review I could find on this company was positive. So rather than a phone call, I drove over to their office on Cortez to see their operation and more importantly to see how they greeted me. I was impressed & looked forward to meeting their sales rep for an estimate. I received a total of 4 estimates from 4 companies for protecting my two door front entrance and a wide open lanai with glass sliders, glass hinged doors and windows. The ADW&S estimate was in the range of the others, but they were the only company that answered all my questions and actually made a follow up phone call a few days after their visit. Showing that they care, having a strong reputation backed by 5 star reviews made me lean towards them. The other contractors with ok reviews were unable to give me any customer references in my area. ADW&S provided references that I actually contacted and checked. They were shining which gave ADW&S greater credibility and me more confidence to choose them. I got the order started with a deposit and was told it may take 4-6 weeks for the custom materials to arrive for a scheduled install. ADW&S pulled the permit and handled everything with the upmost respect. Once again, I was impressed. In 4 weeks, (not 6 weeks) I got a call that they were in and ready to install. We got a date right away and the install was fast and clean. For the electric connection, ADW&S works with Scott McBride, the owner of Creative Electric. They too were very professional, polite and fast with their service. ADW&S even setup the Manatee County inspections which was 2 days after the installation. Then a tech returned to finish with the trim plates that hides the mounting lag bolts making the project complete. At that time, final payment was made.
