Misti was very nice and professional when it came to the planning and showing up for the wedding. She took pictures with nice views and distances. Problem was that we discussed prior to the signing of the contract that we would like to have our pictures edited a certain way. More dark and cool, not so shaded and tan/warms. We wanted this cause it would look beautiful with the dark trees of the forest as well as my dark hair against my pale skin. I also didn't want my skin blending into my ivory dress. We gave her 3 example pictures of how we would like it as well. She agreed on many occasions that it would be okay. We also verified with her on the DAY OF our wedding that it would be done that way and she assured us. When we received our pictures 3 weeks later, NONE of them were as discussed and when we told her what we discussed she then deleted ALL of our pictures (about 150-200) from the link and only re-edited about 15 of them to the picture editing we discussed. Not to mention they were done very quickly and just looked really bad. My face looked dark. I was able to download most of them before she deleted them from the link but it's more so a disappointment because it was not what we disused and we can't get this day back. This was suppose to be a really BIG SPECIAL time in our lives. I live with this sadness now. So disappointed. Edit: I have attached our email correspondence and the 3 pictures we asked for the editing to look like and she agreed she could do BEFORE we signed the contract. I also attached the photos she took and edited. Her editing style is pretty, yes but it's the fact that it's not what we all discussed and agreed upon. We were under the impression of at least receiving 50-50 her style and the style we discussed but that's not what happened. At the end of the day my husband and I decided to just take what we got and move forward because it's not like anything will change and there are 2 sides to every story. I was in search of a photographer to do our fall family photos in a unique setting. I chose Misti through yelp search. She has so much experience and knows what people want. Misti is a lifestyle photographer. Our posed pictures are great, but the photos of us just being silly and enjoying the lake/forest together are so beautiful. She really captured my families love and happiness. It wasn't easy getting our 8 month old to look and smile at the camera, but she was very patient and worked around us. She got tons of great shots. Although she's busy, she still gets your photos to you quickly. For me personally, she does the right amount of editing and filtering. All the photos were cropped perfectly as well (I'm very particular). She truly is an amazing photographer/artist. Our photo shoot with Misti was worth the drive up to the mountains. She's super affordable and worth every penny. She really made my vision come to life and I will cherish our first family photos forever!
