Our grandson played at Mistlin Sports Park all three days over Memorial Day weekend. The complex is large, busy, and clearly hosts many tournaments and families from all over. What saddened me, however, was that there was not a single American flag displayed anywhere on the entire complex during Memorial Day weekend. For a facility that charges admission and hosts multiple separate fields, it seems there should be at least one flag honoring the meaning of the holiday and the men and women who served our country. I truly hope this is something the park and tournament organizers will consider changing in the future. Mistlin sports park is easy to spot due to its iconic tall and white water tower. The sports park caters to baseball, soccer, flag football leagues and many other sports. There are six baseball fields, batting cages and a large grass area for several soccer fields. The baseball fields are made up of turf in the infield and grass in the outfield. I found the fields to be in good shape considering the parks age. The seating for viewers consists of bleacher style seating with backrests. The water tower also has stairs, which allow people to walk completely around the tower and observe games from an elevated position. The batting cages could use an overhaul. The netting is pretty dilapidated in some bays. The balls do not always feed appropriately into the machines and need to be un-fouled by someone. There is fast, medium and slow pick baseball as well as softball pitch. The soccer fields cover a large portion of the park. They are thick, lush and green. They are in great shape considering the abuse the fields endure on a regular basis. The only real downside to this park is the parking situation. If there are multiple games going on or a weekend, arrive early as the parking is somewhat limited and fills up fast. read more

My boys had a baseball tournament this weekend and from the reviews, I expected a "bad" experience. I just don't think the average person comes here to say the place is "great" or "average" and that's what it is. I can't give 5 full stars because parking can be an issue for sure. We had an 8 am game, and another at 12 pm but because of the reviews with the snack shack and no food allowed inside, we packed a cooler and were very happy with our parking spot right outside the gate for fields 5 and 6. That said, can't comment on the snack shack. If you arrive before 9 am, you own coffee is allowed in. We had teammates leave that had to park in the far far parking lot upon return. There are many reviews here that say pets are allowed. That's probably soccer. Baseball, the sign says "no pets". However, I did have my service dog along, but not in her vest or identifiable as such, and I was not questioned. I saw one other golden doodle pup too (don't know that situation) looked like a family pet. So, I suspect it may depend on who's at the gate. For us, it's an hour long drive so our other pup stayed home. Just know the rule is "no pets" but you may or may not get in with a well behaved pup. My boys say the fields seemed newer, so not sure about the bad turf reviews, perhaps other fields. We were on field 5 and could also see field 6. They both seemed well maintained and turf was in decent condition. My players' only complaints were having to wear turf shoes in the outfield which is grass. It was slippery because it was wet. For those used to places like Twin Creeks that have indoor food seating and a bar, this is not that place, but the experience on the field was good for us and had warm, friendly adults and youth at the gate. read more

Huge sports park for baseball and soccer tournaments. I've only been here for soccer games. Parking can get nuts. If you happen to drive by after a set of games are ending, you can get a good spot. Otherwise, you might have to drive across the whole field and park in the dirt and walk over to your field. The weirdest thing about this place is there are NO WATER FOUNTAINS! There's a huge water tower to keep the grass green, but there aren't any water fountains to be found. Don't forget to bring your own water. Bathrooms might run out of toilet paper and are pretty much what you would expect for a park bathroom, so bring hand sanitizer and extra tissue papers. read more

Date: [Insert date] Event: 11/29/25 Adult Softball Tournament Senior Softball Toy Drive Location: Main Gate Check In I'm letting the public know that's including people with medical issues, parents with children etc.... regarding the extremely unprofessional and inappropriate treatment I received at the main gate during check-in for the 11/29/25 Adult Softball Tournament. When I arrived at the gate, the staff member conducting bag checks physically reached into my purse and touched my personal belongings without asking for permission. This is a serious violation of privacy. Standard protocol requires staff to ask guests to open their own bags, not place their hands directly inside. Next, same staff member searched our wagon aggressively and located a small bag of snacks that I carry specifically for my medical needs. I explained that I am diabetic and must have these items accessible at all times for safety. Despite this, I was told I could not bring them in and should leave the bag at the gate and only retrieve it if I "felt the need." This is unacceptable, illegal, unsafe, and discriminatory toward individuals with medical conditions. No guest with a diagnosed medical issue should be denied access to their essential items. To make matters worse, the female staff member stated, "I've worked in the medical field; you don't need that," dismissing my medical needs and speaking to me in a condescending and completely unprofessional manner. It is not her place to make medical judgments about what a diabetic person "does or does not" need. This behavior was not only inappropriate, but also legally problematic, as denying someone access to medically necessary supplies can put their health at risk. My friends run the tournament and are aware of this and also had problems with these people at the front gate. read more

if you care about all the kids boycott this field until they get better bases. I have complained 3 times now, I put it in writing beca I have personally watched 3 kids tear up their knees stepping on these bases that are too hard and slick when they are wet and the kids slide off and tear PCL's Meniscus and hyperextend their knees. I keep complaining and they keep doing nothing. if you play here you will see kids tear their knees when they step on these bases. It's an easy inexpensive change and they keep refusing. I guess you would have to care about the kids and they clearly don't. Don't play here anymor! read more

This is a Beautiful complex! There is plenty of parking and a nice snack bar. Bathrooms were kept clean and stocked too!!

The soccer fields were some of the best fields my daughter has ever played on! Was happy that parking was free, unlike a lot of other soccer parking lots we have been to for State Cup. read more

Making parents pay to watch their kids practice on one of the fields is ridiculous Three weeks in a row we've come out to practice and not paid a dime but because there is a tournament tonight for baseball all the softball parents from our team had to pay to watch our kids practice. I refused. Instead I went back to my car and watched some baseball games for free over the fence then moved my car and watched softball for free. Your customer service sucks as well. The gate guy was a jerk and threatened to kick out our whole team if I didn't pay to watch the practice. Tournament fees are one thing. Have been to several baseball tournaments over recent years at this facility. The staff has become increasingly rude and the fields have several tears in the turf that need to be repaired for safety. Teams pay hefty tournament fees, fans also pay at the gate, and conditions have continued to deteriorate. Also, when temperatures are down into the 40's for evening games, guests should be able to bring in warm drinks and not be forced to purchase their "coffee" from the tiny "snack bar." My child got hurt playing baseball game with ball to face and there was no medical personnel to even get bandage, towel for blood, no ice pack nothing. We had late game and it was ghost town. There should be a requirement if you are paying to play on these fields that they are required to have medical personnel on site! This is a very nice community park. The people complaining are all from out of town. They all want free cups of ice and because they cost $1 they are angry. The park has to pay for those cups & ice. Took the day off to see my grandson play. The director of the park had an issue with the coach of the team and issued a "warning." When he was asked by the coach what it was for, this guy threw the coach OUT OF THE PARK!! When the coach didn't leave fast enough, this guy forced my grandsons team to leave the park and forfeit their game! The nerve of this guy! I am very disappointed with this field, it just spews GREED, my son played here this weekend July 1 & 2 we drove over an 1 1/2 to get here I payed $85.00 for him to play on their field, they did not have misters for the players in the dugout? And to top it all off they stopped my son to check his baseball bag (which is fine) but they took his Gatorade and his protein bars?!? It would be fine if they did it to everyone but No that is not the case, I saw people bringing in Panera and Taco Bell to their players, in plain sight? And the players get their drink taken away? While the turf fields are great the service is terrible. They don't allow snacks or drinks but don't have a healthy selections available for the kids at the snack bar. They also don't accept cards so if you don't have cash you are out of luck. The parking in front is very limited so if you leave for food you'll end up losing your spot and walking a mile to get in. It took a half hour to get a burger after my sons game and 45 mins for a slushie. If you're not going to allow outside food at least have the food readily available and healthy options that will benefit the ball players instead of just junk that will only tire them out before their next games. read more

First time playing here, yes it's a ways away from the East Bay but worth it for our team, the fields were pristine and the setup was easy enough to find our assigned field. The park is beautiful, the softball fields are beautiful but no outside food or drink is allowed, all bags are searched, even the kids' bat bags. No Gatorade only water. The snackbar only takes cash and the prices are inflated and the food is not very good. No healthy options available. I've been involved with youth softball for 40 years, been all over the country, and this is the worst case of gouging the kids and their families I've ever experienced. Came here for the first time. I didnt experience any of the negatives that I expected based on some of the reviews. They opened about 45 minutes before game time so there was time for the kids to warm up. Snack bar took a while to get going and get some coffee but not big deal. The check in process was quick and easy and they did not look very hard in everyone's bags so really no big deal. Fields were nice and well maintained. The water tower tends to shade some of the fields throughout the day but you may need to bring an umbrella. I liked the benches with backs to view the game, not a bad seat in the park. Only downside unlike Big League Dreams they dont have an indoor area to hang out between games and the snack bar if small, also no beer. read more

I read the reviews for this place before going this past weekend and I must say that most of them are spot on. We arrived at 6am for a 7:30 softball game. They didn't open the gates to let players in until after 6:30. When they finally started letting the players in they rifled through all the players' bags confiscating all food and sports drinks. They made an exception this weekend to allow water and fruits but nothing else. I saw several parents and coaches with large coolers filled with Gatorade and sandwiches get turned away and have to leave their coolers in their cars. One coach said 'This is bullshit' which everyone agreed with. The response from one of the guys checking bags was 'Then you're not allowed in. You might as well leave now.' We left our cooler in the car and just went back and forth for drinks. Just down the street near Hwy 99 are several fast food and some sit restaurants (Taco Bell, Jack In The Box, Togos Sandwiches, Country Skillet, etc.). The food at the concession stand looked pretty awful and there wasn't much of a line. Hope we never have to play at this field again but if we do, I will not be spending any money at this place. For sports organizers stay away from this place. Stick with Rainbow Fields near Riverbank or Arnaiz in Stockton. read more

Mistlin Park is one of the travel baseball facilities in the Central Valley along with Big League Dreams and Rainbow Fields. Good baseball fields. One star off for not having an air conditioned snack bar area. You can really feel the heat in the summer! Overall a great place to watch youth baseball. read more

This is a really nice park. We came here to play a national qualifier for for Premier girl Fastpitch the parking lot gets busy and packed. There's plenty of parking but you will have to walk pretty far if you don't get to the field early enough nonetheless, he will find parking, every time we came here the rules have changed slightly so make sure you check in with your coach or the organization hosting to see what you can and cannot bring him to feed a little expensive and they do look inside your bag to check that you don't bring any outside food to snack bar it's pretty expensive but definitely worth it. If you don't want to go to the park about leave and come back and try to find parking, they do have some decent choices and the people operating the snack bar are super friendly. This field is well maintained and is safe. Not many fly balls coming at you like other locations nearby. Bathrooms are kept up and located right in the front location when you walk in. The tower used to be open, however this recent Tourney it was for umpires only. We were not able to bring in heaters or generators so we were pretty cold. Plan accordingly to the time you need to arrive and leave with the elements of the weather in mind. I am sure we'll be back and they'll improve the experience as the renovation is a good sign for the future read more

I've lived here in Ripon for 17 years. My husband and I are originally from the Bay Area. We raised all three of our girls in Ripon. Our girls participated in baseball and soccer through the Ripon city leagues. We have loved spending time rooting for our girls and enjoying the beautiful scenery that Mistlin Park has to offer. Mistlin Park is a huge green vastness of beauty. It has batting cages, baseball and soccer fields, a play area for little ones, and two nice bathrooms. It does get hot in the summer months sometimes in the 90s or the 100s so I recommend sunscreen, a hat and an ice chest with plenty of water. In winter months I recommend a blanket and jackets while watching the games during cold days. I am not sure about the policies of outside baseball organizations when they rent out the sports park and snack bar, but the park itself is beautiful, fun and well maintained. read more

They charge $1 for ice and water in your own water cup. They have awful staff working in the snack bar. Rude and it's like they move at a slower pace when the line is long. Letting children work the front gates at baseball fields is horrible. It's ridiculous you check adult purses and bags like we are all criminals and a bag of food is going into baseball fields when you don't accept any form of payment other than cash and don't stay open until end of games. You're an outside baseball facility charging crazy amounts to enter and get food or water. Do better or close.. Fields were maintained nicely for fall ball tournament. The snack shack was lacking and the prices were average. My main complaint was the bathrooms. The 3rd annual balloon launch was great. Tons more people than last year, probably twice as many. Really great, friendly crowd of families. The balloon launch itself wasn't quite as coordinated as last year. There was a lot of time between balloons taking off but still a sight to see. The kids really liked checking out the set up of the balloons and how they work. The park itself is huge and the grass is really well maintained. The parking situation looks like it would be great on a normal visit-paved lot. But due to the huge crowd we parked in a dusty lot--oh,well. Still a great time! read more

While the park is a great baseball facility, the "director," used very loosely, is complete trash. His dad is the actual director to my understanding, but the son thinks he runs the place. Kicks parents out for bringing in their own coffee. They charge parents $8 to watch their kids play, but the restrooms are filthy and usually don't have paper or soap. When asked how the fees are allocated, the "director" tells parents that it's none of their business and they're ejected. Really makes you wonder about mismanagement. I witnessed him get in the face of a mother asking questions. In my opinion any man who gets in the face a woman with no hesitation should not be allowed to work with the public. read more
