During our last family trip to Gatlinburg, I was introduced to the wonderful, adorable, super awesome Misty Mountain Soap store. I came out with a handful of products to try, but my favorite so far has been the body butter + CBD. It has a milder scent than most muscle/joint lotions do and there's something really appealing about the scent that it does carry. I'm not sure what it reminds me of, but I love it. I also bought the spray-on body oil, and patchouli orange body lotion. They also gave me a honeysuckle soap sample that I'm really enjoying. These products smell so good it's hard to believe they are all natural! read more

My absolute favorite soaps and lotions!! Mountain Energy is my all-time favorite; the fragrance is the best. While it's a seasonal fragrance, Honeysuckle is also very nice. The fragrances last the entire day; and the lotions make your skin soft. I was fortunate to have just visited Gatlinburg and I stocked up. I also order online when my supply is depleted. My mother and I had a very nice experience at The Village store location. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable. So far the products have been fine for sensitive skin and have fun scents - or better yet unscented, which I prefer for moisturizers. I'm a big fan of natural skin care products and so when I find a new place to get some goods, I go crazy. And I definitely went crazy when I entered the Misty Mountain Soap store. There is so much to choose from in here - products and fragrances! I bought 3 bottles of lotion, 12 bars of soaps, 4 lotion bars, 2 bottles of essential oil and 2 lip balms. Yeah, I spent a lot. But I felt good about supporting the owner, Cindy Heinemann, who opened the store for New Year's Eve, but was working the shop alone because she'd given her staff the day off. I also felt good about all the wonderful skin care goodies I'd purchased. In addition to the items I purchased, they also sell bath salts, body butters, bath bombs, and the cutest teddy bears! They also have gift baskets pre-packaged, and you have the option of creating your own package. So far I've used one soap, Arabian Spice, which smells like spicy hot tea. And the soap is so smooth and slippery that it feels good in your hands. And it does generate lather, but not a lot (which I like) and my skin has not been dry. I've also been using the Peppermint lip balm and with its beeswax and cocoa butter base and hint of peppermint oil, my lips are both smooth and tingly. I've been using the Southern Belle lotion bar on my extra dry parts and after one day of use and a shower, the skin is still soft and supple - this bar is friggin' magic! And although Misty Mountain has several scents to choose from, my favorite is the Southern Belle. It's a slight flowery scent that is so light and feminine and gorgeous, I swear, as a true Southern Belle, I feel like this scent is for all of us - Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western. As a visitor to the Gatlinburg area and not a resident, I was glad to hear that I could purchase these fabulous items over the internet, and I'll continue to do so as long as they continue to make them. So glad I discovered this shop in the mountains, I only wish it was earlier! The fragrances are unique, soothing, long lasting, and the lip balms are penetrating and healing. The packaging is well done to ensure leakage prevention, and little extra treats sent are appreciated since I live of state and can't discover new products at the store. Pure Excellence and a True God send!!!! The Miracle Healing Balm, oil and Lotion LITERALLY saved this old gals life!!! My doctor will back that up!!!!! I have 3 incurable brain diseases along with a deteriorating spine and Muscular Dystrophy. I had been really sick and had several injections in my hip that had gotten infected. No amount of antibiotics was healing me. I also have no immune system as my bone marrow is depleted as well. So, my doctors were at a road block. My husband was in our bathroom and said babe why dont you put this miracle stuff on that place and see what it does....couldn't hurt it, it does say MIRACLE...I cackled and opened the sample smeared it on and covered the wound with a bandage and went to bed. MIRACLE IT WAS!!!!! The next day we went to my Dr.s appointment so she could debris the area as she uncovered it she called the entire staff in....to check out MY HINEY...FUN FUN....here is the miracle. Every bit of the infection had been drawn out and up to the surface so when she began to clean the wound it was pink with new skin to begin healing, dont get me wrong, we have a bit to go but, the Miracle Balm is still in FULL SERVICE!!!!!! I now apply it nightly and we have gone from a tablespoon size hole 1/2 inch deep to less than a dime size about 1/8 of an inch deep. I PRAISE THIS STUFF AT THE CANCER CENTER WHERE I GET INFUSIONS, THE DOCTORS OFFICE, ANYWHERE I GO!!!!!! I JUST ORDERED MORE BALM, OIL, LOTION, AND A TRAVEL SIZE FOR MY LIPS. YALL JUST NEED TO MAKE TUBS AND BARRELS SO WE CAN SWIM IN IT OR OFFER A DIPPING SERVICE. But, seriously yall. You really did create something here that saved me. Love how they feel/cleanse the skin & how the scent lingers. It's so hard to find natural products that are not only high quality, but are also truly effective; Misty Mountain are all that and more! Plus, it's a bonus to be able to support a small business that clearly puts their heart and soul into their products. This time I bought a few sugar scrubs, lotion bar & body butter. All are awesome! The scrub left my skin super soft & moisturized. I've only used the lotion bar once on my elbows and already they are so soft! The body butter is wonderful - a whipped texture that goes on super smooth, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave you greasy like most others do. So often I can't use lotions, scrubs, etc because the scents are too overwhelming and aggravate my allergies; not the case with their products. They have excellent mild scent options. Bug-Be-Gone lotion is a must have! Bugs LOVE me, just a step outside and I'm getting bit. We just spent 10 days in Belize and I used this lotion daily. I absolutely love your products!! I am hooked! I tried them in October, after I found them at the Craftsman Fair. I've tried the bar soap, lotions, lip balm among other items. But, my most loved three products are ache no more, the bar lotions and Monoi de Tahiti oil. They are absolutely amazing!! The oil really helps my face feel wonderful and it smells great. The bar lotions soften and help my terribly chapped hands. And Ache no more, it does exactly what the the title says! My arthritis is so bad, I rub that on it and no more pain!! I bought the body butter in the scent winter berry and I was not disappointed! I love how thick it is for the colder months when my skin needs extra hydration! I also love that it gives my skin a really nice glow! However, when I smelt this in store, I was sold immediately just by the scent! It's such a nice fruity smell, different than any other lotion I have had in my life time from bath and body works! It smells very similar to fruit pebbles in the best way possible! :) I was also very impressed by the amount of items they carry ranging from anything you could possibly imagine when it comes to skin and body care! I will be repurchasing more from here for sure! read more

The owner is extremely sweet. I also like the ability to sample all of the products in the store. She's also extremely transparent about the ingredients and process of the products. The ache no more lotion which is highly recommended, does help immensely. The bar soaps also are great. Priced really well also. Will be back and great to support the local economy. read more

I've got old dry itchy skin so I tried their soap and I've gotta admit it is much better than commercial soaps you buy at wal mart and such. They've got products to cover all the old skin issues, heels, lips, deodorants, dry itchy skin. If you are a believer that chemicals are the root of all your skin issues, try their all natural ingredient soaps, lotions and oils. Your skin will feel much better. To put it lightly, I love this place. Every product I try, I love. I have tried so many soaps and lotions everywhere, and yes Bath and Bodyworks, but nothing comes close to the satisfaction of these products. They are natural, great for the skin, made with care and simply wonderful. I found this place three months ago while on vacation in Gatlinburg.. I started out with the sample set in cherry almond scent. I have since purchased many other scents online, but cherry almost is just so yummy smelling and relaxing. I use the lotion daily, and how my skin is so smooth all over. I have used the avacado, oatmeal and milk, lavender and herbs, and cherry almond soap on my face and in the shower. I just feel so much fresher and luxurious after using these products. I also love the cherry almost salt scrub as well as peppermint rosemary aloe cream on my feet. Everything is just wonderful and the prices are great. Getting packages in the mail feels like Christmas every time lol. read more

LOVE the sugar scrubs, leave your skin feeling so soft! Made two trips to the store while we were in Gatlinburg two weeks ago and I've already ordered online as well.
