Stopped in for some much needed relaxation. I was able to snag a 50 minute massage and was overjoyed! I was a little nervous when I arrived and saw for petite my massage therapist was. How could she be strong enough to work out the knots I had in my back and shoulders? Well Candy, that was her name, apparently possesses super human strength and she definitely took care of those knots! Candy was such a pleasant young lady with a very healing touch. I felt so rejuvenated afterwards that I asked if I could come back tomorrow. I booked an 80 minute massage with a sugar scrub and mud mask for my back. It was absolutely the right choice! Candy worked out the rest of the tension in my body and now I'm smooth, exfoliated, and detoxed. Best day of my vacation!!! I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially since I got 20% off for being an owner at Westgate! The spa is kind of smallish, but very clean and decorated for a serene and calming environment. Soft relaxing music, lowered lighting, and it smelled lovely in there. I highly recommend a stop if you have the time. Ask for Candy! She was fantastic!

Such a great first experience. I was running late as usual, but as soon as I got back into the relaxing, dim lit rooms, I was at ease. I came specifically to see Mariah, though I had wanted to visit for several years now, so this was the perfect opportunity. I have received numerous massages from Mariah over the years at other establishments and she is absolutely fantastic at her craft. As someone that deals with a chronic pain condition, she is skilled at providing me with great relief. I'm hoping to be able to make the trip over at least once a month. Mariah is also an esthetician, so I scheduled an Oxygen Facial with my massage for my next visit and I can't wait! 5 stars all around!

I came here while on vacation and received 4 treatments…read more 30-Min Facial: They use gentle, all-natural products, which is a plus. My esthetician was nice; however, she was a tad bit rough with the towel when removing products--so much so that she ripped my nose ring out. I know these things can happen, BUT she didn't verbally acknowledge it. Instead, she just went about avoiding the area afterward. 50-Min Dry Float: They loosely wrap you inside a membrane, hit a button, and water fills underneath the membrane as the slab you're lying on lowers. The water does not cover you. The water temperature is 95°, which doesn't really feel warm until you've been lying there for quite a while. The float also has bright colored lights that constantly change colors. I was hoping to relax enough to fall asleep, but every single time I started drifting off, the machine would make a loud noise and wake me back up. After it happened several times, I gave up on trying to sleep. Between that and the temperature, the dry float just wasn't relaxing for me. Salt Therapy: AMAZING. Easily one of the highlights of my visit. I thoroughly enjoyed this treatment and would absolutely do it again. Massage: This honestly redeemed the experience for me. My massage was wonderful and was exactly what I needed after being disappointed with the facial and dry float. Overall: The designated "relaxation room" wasn't particularly relaxing. It was quite bright, which seemed a little counterintuitive for a space specifically meant for relaxing between treatments. They did have basic water available, but I was surprised there weren't any of the little touches you tend to associate with a spa experience--cucumber water, champagne, wine, etc. None of those things individually would make or break a visit, but together they affected the overall experience. Checkout was also a little confusing. I was prompted to tip four people, even though I only remember interacting with three service providers. I also didn't love that the tipping process essentially treated every service the same when, frankly, two of my experiences did not warrant a large tip. There were definitely things I enjoyed--the salt therapy was amazing and the massage saved the day--but for the overall experience and price point, there were enough misses that I can't give it more than 3 stars.

Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing…read more We booked a full body scrub, massage, and facial. The scrub itself was fine, but afterward I was told to shower and that the moisturizer application normally done after the scrub would be skipped since I was scheduled for a massage next. The massage ended up being one of the worst I've ever had. The therapist smelled strongly of cigarettes and was breathing heavily throughout the entire service, which made it very difficult to relax. I was also never turned over during the massage, meaning the entire front side of my body was never worked on, so actually no moisturizer was applied to the front side of my body. During my facial I was told it would include a scalp massage, neck and shoulder massage, and hand/arm massage. Unfortunately, the arm and hand massage was never done. Considering the amount of money spent, the services felt incomplete and the overall experience was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added, which is frustrating when the services themselves were not fully delivered. I really wanted this to be a highlight of our girls' weekend, but unfortunately my experience fell far short of expectations.

When…read moreI asked her what product line the spa worked with, she named two lines, and then said she thinks there was a third and that they sell it out front. She couldn't tell me anything about the products as far as what the benefits were or what was put in them. She did not explain anything she was putting on my face, so I had to ask her. After she finished the first step, I asked her what it was, and she said "oh, the oil?" as if it was a question. She followed by a mask which she didn't tell me anything about. So I asked her what she was applying and she said 'oh this is the mask'. I got the feeling she uses the same mask for everyone and didn't even know what it was. I wanted to know why she picked that particular mask for my face and what the benefits were, and she couldn't tell me. Furthermore, she didn't apply either of the products to my whole face. My nose was not covered with product at all, not even cleanser, and the rest of my face was sporadically covered. I had added on an eye treatment, thinking that I would get some kind of cream or mask of some type. Instead, it was one of those gel pads in a foil wrapper like you get from the cheap aisle at T.J. Maxx. She opened only two, which she put under my eyes, then when I asked about it, she opened another two for the tops. She of course charged me for the second set, $50 for this treatment that did absolutely nothing. So I got nothing put on my eyes in the way of product even though I paid extra for the eye treatment add-on x 2. Lastly, this was supposed to be a hydra steam facial, however the steam machine was placed so far away from my face that I didn't feel it one single bit. My face felt horrible afterwards and I couldn't wait to get home and wash it. My massage was okay, but For a 90 minute full body treatment, I expect to get the glute muscles done or at least to be asked if I want them done, but they weren't. Still, the rest of the massage was okay. The kicker that topped off the bad experience was upon checking out, I was not told that gratuity was included in the price. I left a $50 tip, even though I was not happy with the experience, because I do believe in tipping well for the effort. I was super peeved upon leaving when my friend that I was with asked me why I left an extra tip and that's when I found out that it was included. I feel it was very unethical of them not to tell me this. What a complete waste of over $400!!!!

I was so excited to be back at Blue Mountain Mist for a full-on relaxation session, which my hubby lovingly dubbed "Mommy Time." My massage therapist, Bettina, was absolutely wonderful--thorough, professional, and attentive from beginning to end. Before we started, she took the time to review the areas I had marked as needing attention. She also asked what level of pressure I preferred. I requested light to medium pressure, and I really appreciated how she started gently in each area and gradually worked up to medium pressure. This was especially important to me because I have neck and back issues. Bettina also asked if I would like essential oils in the humidifier and suggested eucalyptus and peppermint--two of my absolute favorite scents! The heated massage table was ready to go, and I thoroughly enjoyed the hot rocks and steamed towels. Every little detail added to the experience. Once my massage was finished and I was thoroughly relaxed, I headed down to the Quiet Room, where I enjoyed a cup of hot tea, granola bites, and some decadent dark-chocolate-covered pomegranate bites. I did manage to spill my first cup of tea just as I added the honey , and Bettina graciously helped me clean it up. Even that little moment was handled with such kindness. Blue Mountain Mist is truly a lovely gem just outside the main Parkway and only a couple of miles from Dollywood. If you're a local, be sure to ask about their locals' specials. If you're visiting the area, treat yourself to a massage, facial, manicure, or pedicure. You deserve it! I left feeling completely relaxed and pampered--like a million bucks! ‍ Thank you, Blue Mountain Mist Spa, and especially Bettina, for helping make my anniversary "Mommy Time" absolutely perfect!

The resort is in the mountains, a few minutes from Dollywood. It's clean and rustic but elegant - think Dolly Parton's style and touch. It's family oriented so it's cozy, not really flashy. I bet during the holidays (now) placed is decked out. Kudos to the staff. From checking in, to dining all the way the family activities (smores), everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely warm making people feel welcome. Service wasn't feigned or scripted - it was real and even when it was busy, the staff took care of business. Room was comfortable and clean. Not extravagant - think Southern charm. Bathroom wasn't cramped, water pressure good and temperature nice and hot. Quiet (we had a corner room) and we couldn't hear anything. Not even when neighbors opening or closing their door. Even had a workspace if you were working while you were supposed to be on vacation. Amenities included shuttle to and from the park. Pool and Spa (didn't partake). Went to the bar/restaurant - see other review and an on site convenience store. Free parking. I'm sure there are more but that's just all that comes to mind because we were for the park. That's also in another review. Anyway - to sum it up, it's not quite a luxury resort - but a place that offers heartfelt comfort wrapped in Southern Hospitality. If you know Dolly's story, it kinda captures her spirit - warm, sincere and touches of joy. It's a definite "yes" if I needed to pick a place to stay when back in that area, even if I weren't going to the park.
