The staff at Robyn's office is also very caring, pleasant and professional. Robyn is a good age for a doctor - old enough to have lots of experience, but young enough to keep up to date with current practices. As part of the latter, Robyn participates in a regional dental study group where several dentists discuss new technology and techniques. Her office has state-of-the-art equipment that allows her to do advanced treatments. She offers a very broad range of treatments/services ranging from the most basic to quite sophisticated. Showing Robyn's peer stature in dentistry, she is a past president of the Detroit District Dental Society. From a patient perspective, Robyn also is very good at explaining what needs to be done, why, how it will be accomplished, and the cost. She also presents alternatives when appropriate. Robyn values a knowledgeable staff, and explains what she's doing during treatment. There is a recognition that dental issues don't always arrive at convenient times. Office hours vary during the week, and include Saturday, to accommodate patient needs. Patient comfort is well managed - at no time during or after treatment did I experience any discomfort. The office is located in a well-maintained stand-alone building, with ample parking.

I was a patient with this office for close to 50 years. In the fall of 2023 and early 2024 I had…read moresome health issues and unfortunately this enabled me to not be able to go to the office to have my teeth cleaned. Once I was able to go, I called the office in March 2024 to schedule a cleaning appointment and was told I couldn't due to a hadn't had a cleaning in two years (it actually wasn't 2 years but getting close to it). I spoke with the office manager and she informed me that it was the office policy that one would have to see the dentist first at a separate appointment before scheduling a cleaning if one had not had a cleaning in 2 years. I have never heard of this type of policy!! Again, I was a patient there for over 50 years. I asked the office manager to look at my chart and my situation but she didn't care. She just kept saying "it's the office policy". I was frustrated and hung up on her. The next thing I know I received a letter from the new owner of the practice informing me that I was dismissed from his office. I did nothing wrong to deserve this. The only thing I did was, I told the office manager she didn't care. Which she apparently did not. I fully know if it was the past owner, which I loved, she would of looked into my situation and I would have been seen for a cleaning without being seen first by the dentist at a separate appointment. It's a shame this new owner, not even knowing me, decided to dismiss a long time patient all because I said the office manager did not care. On a side note, I was able to schedule a cleaning appointment with my husband's office the next day without seeing the dentist first at a separate appointment . They had never heard of an office having a two year cleaning policy. I guess everything happens for a reason and the moral of this story is: if you don't care that an office manager or new owner of this office does not care about their patients then go there.

I have always appreciated the care I have received from him. My concern is with an interaction I had with dental hygienist Melissa. During my visit, I asked for information about my son's upcoming dental appointment. As his father, legal guardian, and the person providing his dental insurance, I expected either the requested information or a clear explanation of any office policy that prevented it. Instead, the conversation included what I perceived to be unnecessary gossip, bias opinions, and commentary that had nothing to do with my request. Rather than simply addressing the question or referring me to someone who could, the interaction became uncomfortable and unprofessional. Later that same day, I called the office and spoke with the receptionist, who provided the appointment information without any difficulty or unnecessary discussion. Based on my experience, I encourage the practice to ensure that staff remain professional, avoid unnecessary personal commentary or gossip, and communicate office policies consistently and respectfully. While I have had many positive experiences with this practice over the years, this interaction fell well below the standard I have come to expect, which is why I am leaving a one-star review. Steer clear of Melissa.

Remind you this was in February. It's now June they made me pay a $75 fee two weeks ago and I was a little bit late for an appointment today. Yes my responsibility because of my daughter's 24 hour cancellation fee and my late appointment. They will no longer let me schedule appointments only same-day visits for everything cleanings fillings everything so I couldn't get seen at my appointment at 4 o'clock. I arrived at 4:20 because they scheduled me for a 5 o'clock emergency visit because I have a piece of bone fragments sticking out of my mouth from having a tooth removed two weeks prior and a massive infection mind. They took me back at 4:30. Couldn't remember the bone because the infection was so bad I have to get antibiotics. They're allowing me to schedule an appointment for next week to get the bone fragment removed at that time. I have to pay $700 I have insurance so with my insurance I still have to pay $161 co-pay at the time of my visit to remove a piece of bone fragment that they left in my mouth two weeks prior that's causing a severe infection and will not go away until it's removed and we put on strong antibiotics. I have to pay for a service that I already paid for that wasn't done right the first time. The Dentist and hygienist are wonderful the ladies at the front desk, not so much and have no problem humiliating you in front of other patients that are there waiting in the waiting room. I am so sad and disappointed.

The billing and front desk is unprofessional, shady and does the bare minimum. Needed my bridge done due to a failed implant and the front desk attempted to charge me 750 dollars when under my delta plan is 100% covered. This confusion on THEIR part snowballed into a month of calling my insurance spending hours on the phone due to the dentist office negligence. The office had to be called, begged and reminded NUMEROUS times to send a pre-auth confirming what I knew that my bridge was covered. Instead they sent my insurance company terrible, ambiguous and outdated things. My insurance denied what they sent twice sending me in a tizzy and perplexed. When I would call the office for updates they did not know anything and never called me to inform me of anything. I switched dentist.. got my temp bridge placed THAT day and what do you know.. they confirmed what I KNEW, my insurance plan that I pay for covers bridges 100%..

I called 24 hours prior to reschedule and was informed of their $50 cancellation fee which I told them I could not afford, so I would rearrange things and figure it out. I had previously purchased their plan so I assumed my cleaning was covered by this. When I arrived they asked if I would like to renew, I declined and they sent me back. When I went to leave I was informed that plan had lapsed a few weeks prior and I would now owe $150 out of pocket-or I could purchase their $270 plan and it would be covered. They tried to claim they had told me it was not covered but that was not the case. By simply asking if I'd like to renew I had assumed this cleaning was covered and the next would not be. So maybe it's the ol' never assume situation but I felt this was deceptive, especially as I had just informed them the day before of not having the extra money at this time. There are enough quality dentists in the area that I'd rather give my business to one who is also upfront and forthcoming about costs.
