Cyril White, Shannon and Reagan are coaching the Couch to Crossfit 6-week program; which is a special offered 6-weeks for $95. Talk about reasonable! Six weeks of personal coaching, scaled workouts and small class sizes for individual attention. This guy knows his stuff. Everyone is welcoming and upbeat. I didn't feel out of place at all - though the thought of joining an new elite level gym had me thinking I should have before stepping in the doors. My third class is tonight and I am really looking forward to getting back to it and working hard. The place is small but very effective setup and layout. Great equipment, bathroom/changing room and even bottled water and sports drinks at cost out of the fridge. Just like any Crossfit gym, there is loud music, and shouts of encouragement. They make the workouts fun with workout parties on Fridays and special events or classes here and there. Check out Country Crossfit webpage. You can check in, log your workout, and reserve your spot for the class you want. Country Crossfit will give you a free class to check them out, or if you get a referral from a member (me), then you get one month of free membership to take as many classes as you want and get a feel for who they are and what they do. So go ahead and bring your water bottle, winter coat, keys and wallet. You can set your own code. It costs zero extra dollars to use a locker. They're white with an access code and very useful to use. SPENGA went out of their way to make sure you are ready to work out. Extra tampons in the bathroom. Hair ties or ear plugs or gum to grab if you need it at the front desk. Really friendly and smiling faces greet you as you walk in. If you come early enough and are working out with a friend, you can request your bikes to be next to each other. The staff are SO personable that they'll make a note if you are friends with someone so next time you come in they'll put your bikes together. I mean come on! That's service! I have a hard time in my own life to figure out who I'm friends with , lol! Their equipment is all brand new and their facility is clean, updated, and modern. My personal favorites are how long and new their yoga mats are. I can stretch out fully on it without touching the floor. The first time I used their mat I was surprised how new it felt. The bikes are all new cycling tech. They have enough weights for everyone to have a station so you don't have to share which is nice if you want to adjust your weights. SPENGA is three parts. Spin, strength, and yoga. It feels like you're going clubbing inside. They show you which section you are doing by illuminating with lights the section you're working out. Everything else is in the dark. It makes the workout feel more exclusive, like you're part of some cool club. It took me about 2.5 sessions to fully understand how to adjust the resistance of my bike to make my "bar" light up green. The spin portion was by far the hardest to understand what was going on. Go 20 to 30 min early so an instructor can assist you. Once you get the hang of it, it's a good workout. The music is awesome. Just be prepared to have watery legs and a sore bum. I would love strength more if there were less transitions during the very quick 20 min. The workout definitely had me sweating! So it's a good workout. It just moves way too fast for me. I'd rather do just a couple of movements in that time period. The workouts are a combination of using dumbbells, kettlebells, resistance bands, steps, and medicine balls. I love the yoga part because I never stretch in my life, lol. I would recommend to the instructors that some of your audience has never done yoga before and are unfamiliar with the names. So demonstrating instead of just announcing is helpful. They have blocks and straps for ppl like me who are inflexible. But Like I said this is my favorite part. I feel really accomplished at the end of yoga. I love it. Overall, I find SPENGA to be really pricey. I don't think I can commit to their higher prices. If they lowered their one time visits I would go more. However it is a great workout and a great atmosphere. The coaches are kind and pumped and great at what they do. The facility is impeccable. I definitely recommend anyone to go and check it out. I have not regretted going when I went. I've done about five sessions and always left feeling great.

I really liked classes with Mark because I have an injury, and his class focused on backs with lots of alternatives if needed. I ended up not continuing because I had difficulty making the 5:30 time work for my schedule. All of the people were very nice and welcoming. The studio was beautiful with windows all around. (The sun sometimes made it very hot). I'm glad I went because they were instrumental in me building confidence in moving my body again after injury.

New owner doesn't do any classes. They have 2 in the morning and one at night, but only some…read morenights. The new owner complains about everyone behind their backs. Allows teachers with Covid teach and told me she doesn't care about customer service. One morning it was 54 degrees in the studio. She is nothing but nasty and is running everyone off.

I can only take class online because I live out of state and it is like I am in the room with Sarah. She provides helpful movement or positional corrections when needed. She is also praises me which feels great! Although I am in my home I love my class, we laugh and work hard together. My sister and brother also take class and get personal training at The Mix Fitness Studio, it has become a great way to get and stay healthy.

If you are a new client or new to the Step classes, I would HIGHLY recommend NOT taking Judy's…read more"Step It Up" class. I had a horrible experience in her class. I was new to her class that day, but I've taken Step classes at other gyms for years. She is very intense and after noticing that I made a few mistakes on her steps only 15 minutes into the class, she walked over, told me "STOP STOP STOP", and ripped the risers out from under me. I was so offended. If you want new clients to continue taking your classes, you need to ENCOURAGE them at the level that THEY believe is right for them. You as the instructor do not determine that. She was constantly shouting and gave ZERO alternative steps for beginners. You either picked it up or she kept yelling. It was a great workout because she was so intense and that's why I rated the class two stars, but if you are a beginner, you will feel so discouraged with her. I recommend taking someone else's class.

I joined this gym Applied Fitness Solutions about three months ago and it was the best investment in my life, no regrets! In California the gym's are intimidating because everyone that goes to a gym, in my opinion have perfect bodies and everyone is big on their looks. That being said, AFS is so different and so much better! Their trainers are highly qualified, supportive, knowledgeable in every aspect of the body. The trainers and clients are all friendly and supportive. Clients run the full range of shapes, sizes, age (high school to 70s+ years of age), ethnicities... i attribute my lack of medical problems (I'm in my 50s and take no meds), being mindful of good form/avoiding injury, and reaching my goal of being no more than 10 lbs above my high school weight to this gym! They also have great HIIT workouts for boosting your metabolism...but it's too far for me to go more than 2 days a week, so I just stick to the strength (weight training) workouts.
