I've posted reviews previously and I'm back to add new menu items I've recently tried. Normally I stray away from chicken because I cook chicken at home but my bf loves getting chicken so I tried it. I have visited this location several times and can't seem to get a taste for anything else, but the steak samich! The bread is crisp on the outside, which matches the flavorings on this monstrous delicacy. It's big, so either bring an appetite, prepare to share , or have it twice. read more

The new owner has done an awesome job with the place. This is without exaggeration the best Mexican restaurant in the Charleston area. Worth a drive from anywhere in the area. Our favorite meal in the chimichangas, but the fajitas and sopes are also top notch. No other Mexican place will be worth going to after you eat here. Just go. Trust me. read more

If you love fresh and authentic mexican food, you need to go to Mix Tacos! They make everything by order (including the guacamole, salsa, chips, margaritas, basically EVERYTHING)! The location is easy to find once you get into moncks corner! It's right across from Walmart in a smaller shopping center. The restaurant was clean and had many places to sit. Can accommodate many people! The food, FRESH. Everything was so good and tasted to clean. They also have sauces on the table that are made in house. I'm from California and and outside of Texas it is very hard for me to find good Mexican food in any other state. Well this place is the real deal. They have amazing choices full of flavor and spice if that's your thing. The dessert menu is just as good. So it doesn't matter if you are here visiting, new to the area, or been hear for a long minute you need to check this place out. It small, but feels like it's bigger than it is and just big enough to host plenty of people. It looks real nice inside and out as well. They aren't trying to hard to make the place look authentic, but instead put their own twist which I really liked. The staff are very helpful and seem to like working there which is a plus. so what are you waiting for try this place today. You won't regret it. read more

First time here and it's definitely a must try!! They have a great selection of Tacos, Tortas, Sopas, and a variety of sides to go along with your entree. The Elotes was delicious and my favorite. The tacos are small but so good!! They have a huge menu of Mexican desserts if you have a sweet tooth. I will definitely be back. Go check this gem of a place out!! read more

Great new addition to Moncks Corner, and a nice break from all the fast food. Ordered the quesabirria tacos and they were muy delicioso! Filling portion for a fair price, and full of flavor. This isn't your typical Americanized Mexican place - it's more of an authentic Mexican style cuisine, which is kinda hard to find anymore. The restaurant was very clean, the people were friendly, and it's a nice casual environment. My wife and I shared an ice cream, too, and I highly recommend the strawberry cheesecake flavor. Friendly staff and wonderful, fresh food. Highly recommend the chicken tacos (actually I can highly recommend all of the taco's, I've tried them all and they are all good). Having spent 3 years in Southern California this place is the place to go for street style tacos. It's also nice that they serve Mexican Coke in a bottle (better because it is made with REAL SUGAR) and a good variety of Jarrito bottled soft drinks. read more

The tacos are out of this world! The guacamole is made fresh to each order and was sooo good. The margaritas are also pretty decent for the price. On Tuesday's, they have 5 tacos for the price of 3, and that's more than enough to spilt with a friend or partner! Will definitely be back! read more

Very good place to eat! My husband & I are originally from Texas & this is by far the closest we'll get to Texas authentic food!! Husband & I loved it & got the quesabirria tacos he gave it a A+! Will definitely be coming back here more often for our cravings can't wait to try a little bit of everything on the menu! I also got the horchata very good! The people are very nice & welcoming!! Coming from a Mexican, the food was No bueno, too greasy, the cheese was nasty, the steak was cooked bad ‍ and Mexican steak tacos are supposed to be cooked well! Had to drink plenty of water to not puke. The set up, location, service, and agua fresca(horchata, pineapple, etc) were good but everything else. Nah I think ill go to tacobell next time. Lol If youre craving corn tortillas or starving then take the chance, or go to a better Mexican restaurant. They could do better. read more

On the other hand, when the food is average and the customer service or management approach is poor, there's simply no reason to go back. Unfortunately, that's been my experience here. Whether it's a cultural miscommunication or a management issue, something is clearly off. At the end of the day, how you treat your customers matters just as much--if not more--than what you serve on the plate.
