Dined here last night with a large party and the experience was great. I arrived late and our server was quick to take my order to ensure it arrived around the same time as my group which was much appreciated. Since discovering authentic Mexican cuisine, we find it hard to eat at commercial restaurants but we are learning we can ask for dishes and they will accommodate. Out with family, we decided on Cinco. The restaurant is always clean, the staff are always attentive and ready to seat us. There's never any complaints there for sure. My new favorite carnitas tacos are something I look to try everywhere and unfortunately Cinco let me down. The meat was dry and I had to dip it in our chip salsa to give it flavor. Normally I take it with clinatro , onion and lime but I had to dip them in the salsa. I did order guacamole and it was perfect. We just moved out to Moncks corner and love a real Mexican spot. I think out of all the Mexican place as I have been in Charleston that have not been "real" Mexican, This is the best location. They give you a lot of food for what you order it's always so tasty. The inside is super clean and it always seems busy when we go. The drinks are a great price the service is impeccable and they're hot sauce is hot hot hot. The servers are always friendly which is nice to know as well. One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the area. My fiancēe and I have visited Cinco De Mayo twice. Both visits were outstanding, great service, great food. I typically order a combo meal; taco, enchilada with rice/beans. Their menu is huge, and the combos extensive so beware....read complete description because not all combos have both rice and beans, some rice only, others beans only, some no rice or beans. Regardless, I love the different options they offer and flavor is great on everything. My other half does the fajitas, by far one of our favorite places for fajitas. The steak is always cooked to perfection, not over/under cooled as we've experienced at other local places. Good flavor on the chicken and shrimp and a nice portion compared to the cost value. Several salsas available, which I love, and are replenished as you go thru the chips and salsa. Service is excellent, very timely and attentive. I get the overall feeling that I am welcomed and they have an interest in making my dining experience a great one. Great job staff at Cinco De Mayo! Cinco is up in Moncks Corner but worth the drive.
