Back in 2016, when Mattia College of Miami closed its doors to the school unexpectedly, it caused many of its students to be left without any information about nursing studies or where to go thereafter. After doing research on schools in the area, I went to the Universal Career School looking for a way to continue and finish my nursing program. The Universal Career School opened the door for me and many of my clasmates. We were able to obtain the correct information and were given the best communication from the administration staff. The faculty did a great job by preparing us well for the classes and they provided excellent support. I graduated last year and I have shared my archives with my classmates, instructors, and the administrators. I also participated in the first graduating ceremony with my RN license already in my hands. I was able to pass the NCLEX on my first try as the Universal Career School had prepared me well. Today I am working as RN in a large hospital system. I am forever greatful to the Universal Career School for all the help they provided me towards my end goal of having a career in Nursing.

Which was enough for me to have gotten my things and left at that moment. I waited 20 minutes and nothing. No sign of this guy Eduardo I believe. I might have blocked his name from my mind not sure. So since nothing was happening. I called the other location myself and asked for him. They didn't know where he was so i left a message with the receptionist from Hialeah campus. I tried calling him directly and no answer and no reply. I tried texting him and no answer and no reply. I ended up waiting around in total of 45 minutes and left. I was quite upset that I cancelled some appointments for a man that had no concept of being professional. I gave them two days to respond to me and never heard from them again. This Eduardo character never called me to apologize or to reschedule or to anything. So damn rude. And good riddance cuz I could never work for someone like that. Disgusting!!! Unprofessional i am in a school environment? What are you teaching your students? I can't even imagine what kind of example you would be to them with that kind of behavior right off the bat. Last night the owner of Celebrity School of Beauty and the owner's son Steve who works at the front…read moredesk in the evenings and is enrolled in school there. Tonight just before 8:30pm I was sitting at my station and he walked up to me yelling at me. He stated he wanted to know if I heard the news since I was in someone else's business. I told him to use his inside voice when speaking to me and that I could hear him because I wasn't listening to anything in myAirPods. Last week Steve was less than helpful with another student and laughed in her face and told her good luck finding her kit that someone had taken. The other student asked me to go downstairs with her for support to ask to speak with the owner (his mom) or the director because he is always so difficult. When we went to speak to Steve he lied and said that management and administration were gone for the day but as soon as we said the other student was calling the police to make a report STEVE walked off and came back and said the director will be out of her office to speak to that student. When I asked him about lying to us he was dismissive and became offended we wanted you to speak with his mommy. Turns out his brother DAYKEL also works here and met with the other student and someone else who also didn't want to review camera footage to see who took hundreds of dollars of products that belonged to other student. I responded and said yes I heard the other student got her kit back and that they were still not any help with finding who took the student's kit from the Spa and how it turned up later in a classroom on the other side of the school. I also said it's sad that she had to call the police, send an email, and write complaints for you'll to look into it. He began to scream once more at me as I was talking while walking off in front of my classmate and another teacher's entire class. Steve is extremely rude to a lot of the female students and absolutely nothing is done about it! He should be more focused on his legal case instead of demeaning and disrespecting the female students. The fact that he continues to be employed here and is allowed to treat the female students this way is completely unacceptable! We're paying students and we are here to get an education we are not paying to be mistreated and lied to by the owner's son! Ask the school to send you the video. I got up immediately and spoke to my teacher about it and decided to come home and file my complaint. Since I've been enrolled here I've had nothing but trouble from administration. The teachers are great but having to resign papers they have completed incorrect, and waiting weeks for kits, being charged for items I don't need, and dealing with an immature disrespectful child of the owner is definitely the very last strike. Our classes are supposed to end at 10pm every night at 9:45-9:50 he plays this song as loud as he can through the intercom with lyrics that basically say get out and good night forcing the students to leave. As a paying productive member of society I will not be harassed by Steve or anyone else who may be family or work for the owner. Going forward I will call the police and press charges harassment is a serious offense. Unfortunately Steve is always at the front desk when I am there and students speaking to administration gets put off because he lies about them being there.

Her teachers and administration have been amazing, the teamwork the teacher brings to the students and how she keeps them engaged is wonderful. She has not only gained hands on extensive training in her cosmetology class but has built great friendships and supporters along the way. She is approaching the end of her course and because of the confidence and mentors she has had I am sure she will do great things when she graduates. Kudos to all the staff and teachers that pave the way for the students.
