None come close to my experience with In Vogue. I came in feeling bummed, with boring and distressed hair. I walked out happy, with a shining new look. The staff is attentive and very down-to-earth. The clientele ranges from the more conservative "cut-just-an-inch" type to the more daring "i-want-something-different" type. Whoever you are, In Vogue will make you a happy girl (or boy). My appointment was with Tara, who is the most fun, passionate and knowledgeable stylists I've ever worked with. When she talks to you, you can tell she's very excited about what she does and that her heart goes into it 100%. I asked before anything was cured to change the color, as it didn't look the same on my hands and the sample (the sample was pink from all angles, I was sure to check) . She then continued to treat me with obvious disdain for the rest of the appointment. I was really disappointed because it seemed like everyone else in the salon was receiving great service. She immediately put alcohol on it which made it sting even more and without apologizing, she continued to do my nails aggressively even after I asked her numerous times to be gentle. I was so turned off by the overall demeanor that I almost got up and left. She proceeded to do my pedicure and even though the nail polish was smudged she still let me get up and walk over to the table to dry it. If I didn't notice I would've left with a smudged pedicure and I paid 43 dollars for both manicure and pedicure. It's overpriced and not worth coming here. Don't come here ever.

What I got is something I've never had before and came out pretty terrible in my opinion. A gel was used with a piece of paper to shape each nail. I paid $90 plus tip for these lumpy misshaped witch claws. I was hoping for classy, coffin French tips. Had to ask for reshaping a few times because the nails were all lopsided and pointing in different directions, until another tech came in to try to salvage. I'm due for a fill, it being 2 weeks later, but not sure if I would give this salon another try. It looks like I let my nephew learn how to do acrylics and let him have at it, and I'm frankly embarrassed and hiding my hands. The only positive feedback is that these things are NOT coming off or lifting up. If I could get the same seal to the nail with pretty nails I would go back every time.

We had made an appointment which was after their normal operating hours, which they immediately began 'joking' about. Saying that we would have to 'put our hands outside the car' to have them dry, and overall being a bit hostile... even though they offered us the appointment time. To say it was extremely off-putting would be an understatement. They also tried to convince me to change the color I had selected, telling me it would not look good if I went with the color I wanted. And they did the same to my friend, strongarming her into another color she didn't want. While I can set that aside as perhaps the professionals know best and perhaps a misunderstood joke, what I cannot excuse is the horrible quality of painting I received. It was no secret that they were in a rush, as they were all but shoving us out the door the moment we were done. However, it seems they didn't wait adequate time in between coats as my nails have the most hideous bubbles on them. I would have gone back in to ask them to fix it, but given how they were pretty much closing as we were sitting waiting for our nails to dry (shutting off the music so we sat in silence as they didn't acknowledge us any further, turning off lights, playing on their phones) I did not feel comfortable doing so. Had I not paid I honestly would have removed the nail polish immediately myself and redid them at home. Moral of the story, if you want poorly painted nails and an experience in which it is clear that your presence is unwanted, this is the nail salon for you!

I think it's important to be discerning when you read reviews. Business owners not loving having…read moreyour poorly-behaved gaggle of children causing havoc in their place of business is on you. Your nail(s) coming off/chipping within 1-2 days is on you (they do the same exact thing for every customer--if you have very long naturals nails/acrylics, they will take more abuse, moisturize too often, take a shower soon after having your nails done, are generally hard on your nails, etc, your mani will not last long). That said, I have never, EVER had polish last as long as when I had them done from this place. I am very active & accept that my activities are not conducive to nail polish, so when they chip within 1-2 days, it doesn't bother me (I'm sorry, but ladies, they are JUST NAILS). I went downhill mountain biking at Thunder the day after I had these done & not one chip. They are beautiful and perfect still after 2 weeks. Make sure to make an appointment, as with any salon.
