Used MK Travel to book our two week, Hawaiian honeymoon (Diane was our agent). Great customer service and VERY knowledgable! Will always use her and this agency for our trips! FYI, besides the typical store registries for our wedding shower, our guests had the opportunity to purchase us gift certificates to go towards our honeymoon. What a great idea! read more

I have never written a review on Yelp before but am doing so now because I have never dealt with such poor professionalism. We were booking a hotel stay for our friends wedding in Cancun. When I called to make reservations, I should have received an electronic invoice the following day. I did not receive it until a month later, only because the bride and groom did numerous follow ups -(the company has messed up numerous guests travel arrangements so the bride and groom got involved to help everyone). When I finally received the electronic invoice, it was for the wrong location, not Cancun but Punta Cana Dominican Republic. When I received the paper itinerary a few weeks after that, the dates and names were incorrect. I also noticed that we were placed in the family section of the hotel, even though I made specially clear during booking that we wanted to be in the adult section. I followed up with the travel agency to get this corrected. I had to follow Up about 5-6 times to get any sort of real response - I received excuses like they had been out of town since the last time I emailed them, or just no response at all. Then when I finally received a response of some actual content, I was told that since I booked in January when in fact I booked in early December, and can prove that with our credit card statement. Never during booking was I told that the hotel was sold out. I don't believe it was because we could book the adult section if we did it through a public search engine, i.e. Expedia. In hind sight I wish we had just booked on our own so that we wouldn't have had to deal with all this. This company is extremely unorganized and I would never use them again for travel purposes. Not only are they disorganized, they are rather snarky in responses which is not how you treat your customers. What is more concerning is that travel arrangements could easily get screwed up by them because of how unorganized they are. read more

I would not recommend. Poor communication. Transfers to and from resort were not correct. No attention to details which then required more than one phone call for the same issue. We dealt with the owner Karen which is even more disappointing. My sister booked through this agency for her destination wedding and you would think that since they were gaining the business of over 25 people that Karen the owner would have been more on the ball. read more

I originally heard that All Around Travel was one of the "top rated apple agents", which excited me to no end. I called and spoke to owner Karen and she set up an appointment for the following week to book our destination wedding, which was in 10 months. Karen suggested a place that was newly remodeled (which it was not) and just opening back 4 months before our destination. I was given some details about the resort, prices, baggage fees, etc. A 50 dollar deposit was needed per person, to reserve the spot and secure the hotel (I was given 2 weeks for that price). I had people call in to book and place down deposits, and I also put down a deposit for myself, husband, and child, along with $600 to hold some rooms for those that couldn't pay before then. Now everything goes bad, so bad that my mom had to take over because I was becoming very stressed. Any questions I had i told my mom, she called Karen, because I could not handle it. Someone works there named Sue (who is one of the most incompetent people I have ever witnessed). Majority of the time I would call to get a question answered I could never get Karen, only spoke to Sue. When I would catch up to Karen, and talk to her about what me or anyone discussed with Sue, Sue acted like we were lying and it never happened. Sue told us each person would get resort credits, and i would get a credit of around $2800.00 since I booked so many rooms. Later told by Karen that was not the truth. Karen told us baggage was included, she later emailed me (2weeks before wedding) and told me baggage was $50 per bag. I immediately called to speak with her and she informed me that when we originally spoke baggage was free, but it changed because I paid 2 weeks later (which was the time she had given us to pay). She told me that she informed everyone who paid that baggage was not free, I began to call people to ask and not one person had been told, and no one was aware they had to pay for baggage. I would not have chosen this airline because we had 6 luggage's of wedding stuff, which would have been $300 extra dollars, which needs to be calculated when budgeting for a wedding. And they "lost" multiple payments for different people. She told me I had only paid our deposit and nothing else, I had to go through bank records to find the other $1300 I had paid for us. Which made me leery on paying my balance. Some of my guest got annoyed and booked their own trip online. 3 weeks before departure, our guests were calling to get itineraries because we had not received anything. We needed to book our airport travel but could not because we didn't have flight times. I emailed Karen for the times and she never responded, which ended up making us have to pay more for last minute transportation for 28 people. At this time I still had not heard from the resort to handle wedding details (cake, colors, set up, etc). Karen acted as if it was news to her, although I let her know weeks before that I had not heard from them, and she said "no worries, they do these things all the time, so its no big deal to them". I ended up getting an email from the resort when my mom got angry enough to tell them she would just come and see them in person. All in all we had a great wedding. No thanks to this company, but because multiple people talked me off the ledge, and the resort understood my issues and helped me tremendously. Sorry for the long review. read more

Karen helped my parents book a vacation for my brothers and me. It was truly the trip of a lifetime and we never would have found it without Karen's guidance. Her experience and expertise were invaluable. If you always book your own travel you have no idea just how valuable a travel agent like Karen can be. This is a TERRIBLE TRAVEL AGENCY, and their customer service is horrendous. Not only did Karen book us on the wrong side of the resort when we were booking for our friend's wedding, but when we contacted them they (Karen) was extremely rude and basically told us this was our fault. Her responses to our inquires were aggressive, unprofessional and not helpful. I thought I may have been the only one to have this issue, but as this was a destination wedding, more than 10 guests had similar stories and spent the first day of the vacation scrambling to correct the errors of this incompetent agency. I have never written a review on YELP before, but after this disaster, I hope to help others avoid the same problems, especially when booking expensive vacations. - Also the "transfers" that are set up by Karen are completely inconvenient AND when another friend mentioned to Karen that they spent 2 HOURS on their trip from the airport to the hotel (it was a 30 min ride if not booked with 6 other groups), they were told that they were lucky they were being given transfers as they were "free and didn't have to pay for them anyway." This would not have been such an issue, however, the rates quoted by MK travel were the same as those we saw online, but we were told we would be getting private transfers to/from the airport which would make up the cost. In all honesty, all could have been forgiven if it wasn't for the terrible way we were spoken to and interacted with after these problems arose. Incompetence is one thing, but lack of customer service/decency is another. read more

Karen Daly was our agent - and let me just say she helped us to effortlessly book the most perfect honeymoon imaginable! We gave her our budget and she sent us back some options. We ended up at a beautiful resort in the Bahamas for 7 nights - one of which we would never have found if it hadn't been for our agent. The resort was perfectly catered to our age group and style as well - which was great! She sent us a detailed itinerary that included everything we needed - we literally just had to make it to the airport and we were set! Every honeymooning couple should opt for this kind of a service after the stresses of a wedding. We will be back! read more

This Business cheated me out of money. I have an e-mail from them stating the mix-up was their fault but they still cancelled my trip and took my deposit. as the person stated below, get insurance as I have heard this is a very common occurrence. People in the wedding party I was suppose to go with did nothing but complain about MK All Around Travels customer service. I would Highly recommend that you book your travel elsewhere. Not taking my deposit due to their mistake would have made a world of difference. They were not willing to take any responsibility for their mistake and instead put that burden on their customer. read more
