Trying to reach the Owner about the theft of my sons wallet that occurred when the restaurant was nearly empty last Thursday around midnight. Managers told him only the owner can access the video (likely not true). Two days to get a manager in the phone and he asked me for a picture of my son so they could identify him in the video. I came in with a smile to my face to watch both workers at the counter, just stare at me. The young lady took my order who seemed slightly irritated from the start. I asked her if I could have a chicken Philly with mustard, American cheese and pickle only she told me that no pickles can be added to my Philly steak and then asked if it could be given to me on the side, she replied no. I told her o would pay the extra if I cooks please but She told me no I can only have pickles on the burger. ... that's not true. If look at the menu, you can even get pickles on your salad, but apparently she did not want to allow me to get the damn pickles on my sandwich this evening. I'm typically giving wing places a side eye because the wings are over cooked or like those gross Dominos wings from their commercialized pizza ovens. This quaint little spot located in a small parking lot is considered to be a popular local staple off of University Dr. When I arrived, it was for a late night snack, as I just finished the conference I was attending. There was a lady in the lobby, mopping the floor and cleaning as they were preparing her clothes for the evening. I was greeted upon entry of restaurant and the lighting was bright and inviting. The woman at the cashier immediately acknowledge my presence, and then requested to take my order. I explain to her. I've never been there and asked for a recommendation. She asked me what type of wings I liked an offer suggestions. I chose to order the lemon pepper, wings and fries with their special sauce. I must say this place really didn't disappoint, and the wings were exactly as described by other reviewers . Tried this place out on Wednesday for lunch since it's nearby. I saw a lot of good reviews, and I do have some nice things to say, but overall, at least food-wise (which is most important to me), I wasn't impressed at all. The parking lot is a little cramped and hard to navigate and has seen better days, so be careful parking and pulling in/out. The inside of this restaurant looked very, very clean, which was nice. It was more spacious than I'd thought it would be, though no one was eating there when I walked in. Service took a short time to appear after I walked in, and it seemed like just one woman running the show - she took my order and payment and then went to the back to make my food. She was very warm and friendly and took care to package my meal nicely. Service and interior were both good! The food, sadly, really wasn't. Granted, this is decidedly a wing place -- and I didn't get wings. So maybe that's on me. I ordered a 3 chicken finger plate, which came with fries and a can of soda for about $10. Not a bad price at all for the amount of food - certainly heaps of fries, and fairly large tenders. The crinkle fries were the better item -- they were clearly freshly fried, at least, though I'm sure they were previously frozen. They had the absolute faintest dusting of fry seasoning on them (think zaxby's) but it was so light that you could only taste it on maybe 1 out of every 7 fries. On the bright side, they were super hot and crispy, which helped negate the lack of flavor. The ranch dipping sauce I was given was thick, gloopy, very vinegary ranch, which I don't like. As for the tenders themselves...also, I suspect, frozen then fried. Not very crunchy breading. Tender was super hard when biting into it, such that I had to pull some meat off with my fingers for a first bite. When I tasted it, my first bite was my last. Super tough, and just an overwhelmingly WEIRD flavor. It's sadly indescribable for me, but suffice it to say it was weird in an unpleasant way. I couldn't even eat that one bite, it was that weird. Not heinously bad, exactly, but just strange. Since I don't really eat wings or fish much and the tenders weren't good, I likely won't be back. I think you have to take the reviews with a grain of salt because as busy as this place is you would have to assume the food is good. First off, I went to a wing restaurant and ordered a bacon cheeseburger.....my bad. The burger was subpar but I guess that's expected. My real issue was with the bacon on it. So half of my 10 pc wings I ordered Jalapeño ranch wet sauce . The jalapeño sauce was pretty alright I felt like that flavors really weren't there enough . Service was fast and friendly. Bill was about $22 for ten wings, fries and a drink (including tax and tip). I had not realized they up charge for splitting sauce and having a shake of dry seasoning on the French fries. These wings were the tiniest wings I have ever seen in my life BUT they compensated by giving me a lot more than 10. I had read reviews before I went - the soda was carbonated normally btw - and so tried their sloppy wings and plain hot. The sloppy was pretty sweet but good. The hot wings were not hot at all - I would rate them mild but I am from Buffalo so might not be a good judge since they really know what hot wings are up there lol. Would I go back? Maybe. Stopped in yesterday with 12 in our party. My grandson found this place when he googled places to eat wings in Huntsville, AL. I have to say that we were pleasantly surprised. The wings were great and the owner/staff were extremely pleasant. I will say that you should ask to taste the sauce if you've never been there as they make their own and each has its own unique taste.
