We see how things can easily get out of hand and chaotic. This event was something new offered this year at a $20.00 price point. We were lucky enough to have a few of the MSO at our Sharp Literacy event. This was the whole orchestra! Let me start at the beginning. There was a lot of confusion at this event. We couldn't tell who worked at the event, and whom didn't. Food was more apps than anything else. It was just ok. Nacho bar, hummus, artichoke dip... And drinks on the 6th floor. We are old (40-50) and didn't know we would have to walk up 6 flights of stairs. The elevators were strange to say the least. No buttons on the inside, only on the outside. Once we got upstairs... more poor planning. We kinda found our own stuff to do. There were two free drink stations upstairs with various tasks you had to perform for swag. We got glasses, handcuffs, and some safe house gift certificates and swag. We got to play some of the MSO instruments which I though was very cool. But again, at this event, like "Sharp," I found it very disrespectful that people were talking when the symphony was going on. Common people! Thiis was awesome! I knew most, if not all fo the music. My Dad played a lot of it for me when I was little. I liked how the symphony is trying to connect to the younger generation. So in conclusion, the MSO made the event worth the $20.00. I am not sure there was enough of the Safe House menu to make any conclusions.

The buildings are well-maintained, public areas are clean, and the outside areas are nicely manicured. The management/office staff has been wonderful and they work hard to create a positive and supportive living experience. Definitely worthwhile to check it out. Upon move in, the apartment was clean, and everything worked. Located in a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of parking around the building. I have personally been very happy to live here.

Right now…read morethe biggest problem is that the elevators are constantly down going down (every other day at this point) forcing people to walk down 8-18 stories to get in or out of the building. There is only one "working" elevator because the other is being updated. The same thing happened with the parking garage during updates. There were constant problems accessing parking, especially after work or on weekends. They cannot handle upgrading the building which they are constantly choosing to do. Do not live here.

It is actually affordable AND is located in the same complex, which I feel is a rarity in Milwaukee. There's on-site security which gives my mother peace of mind. The guards are super friendly and make an effort to get to know you. Although the apartments are a bit dated, they are spacious, clean, and offer all the necessities. There's a pool on the roof (SCORE!), laundry on-site, and a small fitness facility. The view from my apartment is also unbeatable. I have windows that face west so most nights you'll find me on my couch sipping a glass of wine watching the sunset.

The apartment complex is not loud, it's clean, it's asthetically pleasing. I love the convenience of the garage parking this winter! And I have a lake view (frozen right now though). I am paying a little more than I originally wanted to but I've got a nice view of the lake instead of garages or an alleyway. And free coffee bar! I've also used the business center often for work at home days. Only negative is I can hear our upstairs neighbor - he/she walks really loudly but that's apartment life. A noise machine at night fixes that. I am happy so far with my choice of apartment buildings.

The hallways have a wretched smell of wet dog, a loud air compressor noise from what I believe is the AC on the roof, and constant entering/going of my apartment - just always seems like it's something. Big penny pinchers here in a very unnecessary way. This place seemed so nice over a year ago when my friend lived here but not so much anymore. Those are just some of the things that aren't up to par. It's not worth it and I regret not seeing the red flags sooner. I unfortunately can't wait to be gone.
