Been there twice for eye brows . Both times service was friendly and quick.. got me in even a bit early ! Service was great !!

After 3+ years as a loyal client, I was deeply disappointed by how MKP handled a recent appointment error. I was told one time over the phone (2:45 PM), but booked for another (10:45 AM). I didn't find out until I was already en route. Instead of understanding, I was charged a no-show fee. When I addressed it, I was met with dismissive responses toldI was acting "childish" and called me "child" for not accepting any thing else that a refund of the no show fee, multiple defensive emails over three days, and ultimately banned from the salon. I was even threatened with defamation for saying I'd share my experience via social media. Thankfully, my bank refunded the charge -- but the way I was treated by MKP management showed a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. I can no longer recommend this business. read more

I love small business and I'm an even bigger fan when it's women owned and gives back to the community. The reception area is lovely and the receptionist offered me tea, coffee, and water for after my session. I had a hard wax Brazilian with the lovely Elizabeth, highly recommend her, my experience was seamless and painless (as Brazilian waxes can be). I really enjoyed the prep and aftercare for my skin for the Brazilian. They also offer a variety of other services including vajacials! read more

Omg where do I start? I'll start by saying Natasha is an eyebrow​ God! I came to her new to the area with "Trouble Brows" as I like to call them. My eyebrows have always been bushy and all over the place... matter a fact my eyebrows are just flat out unruly and disrespectful. Only a few can tame these eyebrows. I found MKP on Yelp and after reading the reviews​ I decided to make an appt over the phone. I also found out that you can make your appointment​ on the website as well and see all of the open availability​, which I think is brilliant​! Once I pulled up to MKP waxing studio I​ was relieved because I​ did pass it a couple of times, and if you're​ not paying attention you will too. MKP is located right behind the pharmacy on the corner​ (I can't​ remember if it's CVS or Rite Aid) but it's one em. When I walked inside I was greeted by MKP staff with smiles​ and good energy. Once I​ signed in there was no wait at all, I immediately​ went straight​ to the waxing room (Hallelujah) :) Natasha introduced herself and asked me what my vision was for my eyebrows... THEY DO SUGARING!!! FYI! The whole team at MKP Waxing Salon is so professional, so friendly, and so good at what they do! I almost never sign up for "packages" but I did (and would do again in a heartbeat!) with these wonderful ladies. Their new location is so convenient (on Whittlesey, off of Bradley Park), but even without the location convenience, I used to drive out of the way to go see them because I prefer them over other salons in the area. I've been going for almost 2 years now, and have had waxing services done by three different aestheticians (Natasha, Terandis, and Michelle). This place is great! Black-owned and woman-owned and they do such a wonderful job with the Brazilian wax(sugaring). I have zero complaints about the service and my waxer was so nice!! I do have an issue with making appointments. They are booked out so far, I can't even make my wax a 5 week routine like I'm used to. It got pushed to 7weeks and I had to cancel, but now I'm not able to get another appointment for two months!!!! I'm new to Columbus and this is the closest decent place to me, but I can't depend on them to get me right when I need them to. I went when I first got in town. Called same day appointments available. No problems quick friendly easy. My brows were perfectly cleaned up how I liked them. Called back this morning for my second appointment now that I finally have time to go with my schedule and now I need to leave a reservation fee. I'm a person if that's what needed fine ask me the first time. I don't like feeling like every time I go some where they have new rules all of a sudden. I appreciate consistency in a business. They said it was a established rule but it's only enforced with certain people. I don't like feeling like I'm being tricked. I will not be returning Natasha. I've found a new salon that takes walk ins. It was shady on the phone. She told me two different prices for my reservation fee. When I asked why I needed to give one this time she asked if it was internet or phone. If I make it on the internet are you not going to charge me then? How is that fair. When I go to your website my desired employee is booked till the second week of sept. But when I called she had same day appointments. I chose this place from yelp. And was so happy to have found them. They were able to get me in with little to no wait . You get to pull a prize on after visits or at least I did on the special days I came in. The pricing was a little bit expensive . But it was well worth it. I got a full Brazilian here a couple weeks ago. The ladies were nice. The facility was nice as well. My only negative take away was they charge $5 extra for the happy trail. I hate to be that person, but in all my years of getting waxing services all over Georgia no spa/salon has ever charged me extra because it's included. That's the point of it being a FULL Brazilian. Nothing too horrendous just something that was really irritating when I didn't know about it before hand and I'm already paying $65. read more

Terrible hiring experience. I was recently welcomed to the team and eager to start. I agreed to come another day for paperwork. That day came and went. The following day I get a call saying my offer was revoked. Reasons being: the boss did not like that I asked questions about job details to get clarity... nor did she like my appearance. I thought I was being pranked. Prior to this, I was given warm smiles and had no idea where that came from. I was treated unfairly and they came up with ridiculous reasons to discard me before even getting started. I have been here a couple time for a wax and while the service was amazing, it's near impossible to get in for another appointment if you want to stay on a regular 5 week waxing schedule. I just called and was told they are booked out until October. It's great that they are busy but the common theme is that it's a struggle to get appointments. If you have a busy schedule and want to keep up on your wax, it may be best to look elsewhere! I haven't been back since my first two waxes. Today I had an appointment at MKP. I was greeted before I even walked in the door by the receptionist Kionna. She opened the door for me. Offered me something to drink. Asked me if I needed anything made me feel so welcomed. I also was greeted by the wax artist there. I felt so welcomed. It was the best experience I had. It was such a warm and friendly environment. It felt like I knew them all for years. They are all so friendly. I felt welcomed from the time I walked in until the time I left. 100000/10 recommend. I would definitely tell all my friends to come. I LOVE MKP/Natasha!!!! I was a first time waxer, brazillian, and found MKP here on Yelp, so I didn't exactly know what to expect, was a bit nervous it would be awkward and painful.. My experience was NONE OF THE ABOVE, this salon and Natasha the owner are upove and beyond amazing! Cute little place, and Natasha just has a warm sweet personality, very professional but so friendly and really gets to know her customers and treats them like close friends, this is a woman that values your business and her customers! So by time I went in the room my fear of awkwardness was out the window, the waxing it's self was surprisingly nearly painless certain tender spots , and of course everyone is different but I don't know if I would consider myself to have a high pain tolerance ANYWAY, Natasha chit chats with you throughout the process so distraction is nice (it was literally done before I knew it) but I am a talker anyway, some people may not be so comfortable. On my 2nd visit (I've only had 2 so far), p.s. the wax last awhile, second appointment was exacyly a month later, but Natasha remembered me and what we talked about last time asked me how I liked my brazillian which I proudly exclaimed how much I loved it but still had some ingrown hairs, she instantly offered advice and said today we'd do something different and instead of wax she "sugared me" which admittedly was a little more painful but no where near unbearable, we again chit chated through the process and when it was all done she suggested me some of the ingrown hair balm which they sell in store and a sugar scrub I bought the balm and tomorrow will be 2 weeks since the day of my 2nd wax and I'm stll smooth and bump (ingrown hair) free! could not be more satisfied with this lovely lady and her adorable waxing salon, I mean when I say Natasha is a sweet heart I do not exaggerate! oh , and since I didn't touch on it too much, she also does a wonderful job with brazillian wax I told her my first time I wanted nothing at all left and she fulfilled! not a hair left in sight, I'm sure we all have our reasons for waxing but I will never go back I feel so clean and yes of course sexy! I was a "virgin" a this "Brazilian Waxing" thing, but not any more. I had a wonderful young lady who's name is Stephanie. She was very polite and reassuring for a scared thru and thru person such as myself. She put me at ease, coached me thru the entire process. Omg! This place is awesome! I have been to a countless number of salons/spas etc to have my eyebrows waxed and not once did I have an experience as awesome as I just did at MKP! The salon is very clean, the staff is incredibly professional and polite and most of all they did an AWESOME job at waxing my brows. You can tell the ladies are very experienced and know how to help you achieve a perfect, equal shape. Also, I have super sensitive skin and had no problems at all with their wax, which is pretty much unheard of for me.
