Warning to customers. You will not get hot water in the washer even if you pay extra. I chose hot but when I checked the water during the wash cycle, the water was COLD (TAKE NOTE, I'm NOT referring to the prewash cycle). ALSO, if you watch the rinse cycle, the machine will only place a TINY amount of water, so your clothes will still have soap when you get them out. I ONLY PLACED A HALF A CUP OF SOAP. I know I'm not the only one who noticed this. I will never go back to this place again. I've been coming to this laundry mat due to it being the closest thing to my house. I like going to the closet thing to me but out of the 3 times I've came it just gotten worse today it was the absolutely worst. Came in at 10:05 unloaded all my clothes took out $30 in change because I have a lot of clothes right when I was walking back to the machine some weird guy came in with some lady telling me they close @11:00pm sharp I told him on google it shows 12:00pm and he didn't respond. My first impression was, "7 months and 198 reviews later...and here I am reviewing a laundromat? Hold on, there's a really good explaination to this madness." 1. I have time to to kill before class and I'm on my "break," writing Yelp reviews. 2. Once I transferred schools I needed a reference for the closest, cleanest, most convenient laundromat around. There was no other resource on Yelp because people hardly ever review laundromats. That's just weird right? So I had to drive up and down the street looking for one and then testing them all out. 3. I need a place to mark the hours of operation for this place. I figured Yelp would be a good place to remember that. All I have to say about this place is that if you're a CSUN student then this is the closest laundromat around. The price for laundry is average, but the owner lady is very friendly and there most of the time maintaining the place. I'm just happy that there is a quarter machine that actually works, really cool vintage wallpaper and old school looking machines that actually works well, although they look old (or vintage, not to be critical). All that and you can gamble while you wait. You will know what I am talking about once you go there. They have washers of all sizes and a dryer that will do you good for about 50 cents. It's always busy with other students from CSUN as well as locals, and if you're hungry you can grab breakfast/a bite at the local's favorite Emle's (http://www.yelp.com/biz/emles-northridge) in the same plaza. Yeah that's right. I'm giving a laundromat a 4-star review. Does that down my credibility much? Oh well, I'm just a satisfied customer that needs to get my weekly laundry done. Located this close to CSUN, they really need to work on keeping the ratio of working machine higher. There's literally one row that's entirely out of order. Yeah, I don't think the owner realizes that the cleaning guy closes down EARLY alot!! I've been there several times when he says the same thing about closing early if no one comes by 11pm, but he says that at like 10:40!! Last time I was in there 3 people were trying to get in at 10:45 but he said NO! And to top it off, he's always so RUDE to everyone!! There's no need for that, so now, I only go there in emergencies. I had the worst experience coming to this place, if you are planning to take care of your laundry at night time, you might regret it soon. I arrived at 9:45pm.. Everything was going ok.. Then around 11:05 pm after the place was unattended for so long this man showed up.. And ask everyone to leave because he had to close immediately, then very sarcastically gave us the option to pick up our clothes the next morning. This is the first time I experienced such a horrible costumer service. This man behaves very weird, he won't look at your eyes when you talk to him. He will observe you like a gargoyle. Very creepy. This laundromat saves me so many times because my building has 2 washers and 2 dryers for 33 apts. You can do that math right? Dee is very helpful and supportive to clients. It is a pleasant spot. You should get there in the early part of the day weekdays because it becomes very busy in evenings. I find between 3-4pm is good. My work hours are good for this laundry stuff.. You are parking in a lot with other businesses and they also have additional parking in the back. Staff are helpful and can replenish items in the vending machines or give you a bag, or answer questions. Until I have my own machines some day, this is where you will see me every week. read more

Never busy when I go. Staff is nice , but machines are $.25 more than what u would expect to pay but it makes up for it in not waiting for a machine to wash or dry. I can get 3 loads done in 1 1/2hrs. There is a nice bar next door (Dublin's) and Get shaved across the street. Tons of food places too. It's also quite so u can get some studying done. read more

Brought in a big bag of washing for wash and fold service on a Monday. The woman who works there asked when I wanted to pick it up. I said I can come back tomorrow. She nods and gives me the paper. I show up Tuesday and she's not there. I had to drive back Wednesday and I asked her where she'd been the day before, thinking maybe she'd been sick. Tonight I was doing my laundry and me and other people were there when the guy who closes the place came in and very rudely said to me you have 5 minutes! it was not even 10:40pm and I said I am going to dry my clothes I am not about to take all these 3 loads wet! he got on my face and said you better leave it here overnight and come back tomorrow or I am going to lock you in here and turn all the lights off! I could not believe it! I said you do that I call the cops and he said no I am! and he did!! he called the cops on me and another lady who mind you had a baby and a toddler. This is ridiculous, I am NEVER coming back to this place, neither is the other poor lady. This is bad business, sorry for the owners because I met the lady the other day and she is super nice, but this is totally unacceptable. I have never had anything like this happen to me before, I say stay away from this place, because even during the day the owner's husband is also very grumpy. I would give this place ZERO stars if I could. Not only did my white clothes come out looking dirtier than when I put them in, the machine literally CHEWED my clothing to pieces. I found MULTIPLE of my shirts with large rips and black stains (like oil or soot). White pants with black fuzz all over it (I didn't wash anything remotely dark colored). This place was so awful, I threw away 3 wifebeaters, 2 white t-shirts, 3 pairs of boxer shorts, 3 pairs of socks....all because they were ripped and stained. AWFUL!!! I would try to get my money back or at least compensation for my destroyed clothing, but there are no employees here and by the looks of the interior, I suspect they wouldn't pay me anyway. It looks like someone built this place in the 1970's and then opened the doors and never returned...not even to sweep. PLEASE take my advice and go somewhere else. I parked in the front to wash and after loading my washer I took my dog to walk so he doesnt die in the hot humid laundromat. I exited the rear door since there is grass side walks toward that direction. When im about out of sight of the laundromat I here this foreign guy, he followed me and started yelling yards from the laundromat which is creepy!!!, starts yelling "you are leaving your car!!" To which I respond I am washing. H3 continues to question me and I eventually told him I will walk him to my machines. The owner of this place kinda stayed quiet after I told him I felt harassed and I doubt im the first or last. I wont come again. I understand they have issues with parking but following a young girl through the back employee parking lot to yell at her parking in the front customer parking is wrong! If I could give anything less then 1 star I would. This place is old, not vintage just grungy and old. Dirty as hell, seriously my clothes came out smelling foul.. Like urine. I know it wasn't my fault or lack of experience, I believe the machine must have been broken. Seriously, so many machines have "out of service" on them 2 out of every 5 had a sign on. If I had not been in such a hurry I would have drove down Reseda to my fav laundry spot on ( Reseda & Sherman Way next to the 999 Pho place) What really upset me about this laundrymat was the owner or worker (older white male) who stared at me load my machine. He was giving me a creepy stare, but I tried to ignore him and told myself he probably thought I was cute. I was wrong, he was being nosey and was observing the brand of detergent I was using. He then approached me and told me my brand was "cheap" and suggested I not use it. He also told another customer to not use downey because it "was useless". I find his opinions to be useless, as no one asked him for his opinion in the first place. If he wants my opinion I suggest he clean up his act before I report him to the health department which I probably will still do. I ended up developing a rash when I wore my clothes that I washed there. If you are wondering what brand of detergent I use it's TIDE, bleach, baking soda and downey as a softner. I always have used this combo, never have had a rash and clothes always smell fresh and clean. Avoid this place if you actually want clean clothes and not half ass washed clothes. read more
