I love this charming park. I truly is enchanted. There are lots of green open spaces and also little hidden areas. There is an Equestrian space here where you can rent horses to have small children ride. The Police Department also have their horses there and all of them are so beautiful! Gorgeous Royal Palms line the park in a most majestic way. The walking trails here are lovely as well, going from the canal to the wildlife. This scenic park is chock full of enjoyment for the entire family. I love this park! read more

As of June 2025, the tot lot is in unacceptable condition. It's extremely dirty, covered in rust, and has broken, hazardous pieces--looks like it's been abandoned for years. Considering how much revenue this park generates from its many events, it's disappointing and frankly absurd that the children's playground has been so neglected. The least they could do is wipe it down weekly. Bring sanitizing wipes. My child has gotten sick after every visit. I don't recommend. read more

That was such a fun discovery. We came on a Saturday where they have farm Saturday so bring cash. It is $10 per activity or $25 per kid to do a rabbit petting zoo, a normal petting zoo and pony rides. They have a little park really close to the farm for the kids to go play and of course they also have cute little hiking trails. I definitely plan on parking and bathrooms are so easy to find. read more

Went to a friends birthday get together at this park today and the park staff told us we aren't supposed to have more than 10 people in a group. Like... what??? Lmao this is a park that we pay taxes to up keep... we weren't staying under a pavilion we were literally out in the open. They were nice and told us they would let us enjoy our time but just seems absolutely ridiculous. We had tons of little babies and families in our group and there wasn't any sort of chaos. You would think park staff would enjoy this type of camaraderie as it keeps them employed. The park is nice with a small nature trail, little lake, and a petting farm. However, we couldn't go see the animals because there was a private party who got it all to themselves. Womp womp... read more

It has a lot of grass area to walk but the playground itself is old, small, and not diverse. I expected better. They have so much space to put a nice extensive playground for kids to enjoy. The plus is that they have a hiking trail and pond. They have horses. I don't see myself going back. read more

PREFACE...This review is based on the street called Enchanted Way but there was no check-in for it so they directed me here... If you're feeling the Christmas spirit and right around Christmas time...take an easy drive down the street that's the first street north of 135th street off NE 16th Ave. There you'll find 80% of the homes decorated in all out Christmas lights, some more than others, but it's no secret...most people, probably more than the neighbors, enjoy taking a quick 5-10 minute stroll down this lane to soak up the decorations. On some evenings, you'll even find Santa sitting towards the end collecting donations for a good cause. I've been going here almost every season and I think the decorations have lightened up a bit but nonetheless, it's still nice to drive by every year. read more

Hidden little park in the middle of the city. If you blink you will miss the entrance. It is pretty small park but its cute. It is surrounded by beautiful big trees. They form a beautiful canopy. It is a great shady park to walk. The park has pavilions one big one at the back and a small one in the front. The big one is pretty big. I saw a now closed kids playground. They have it blocked off with orange tape. I saw a petting zoo sign too and a section where they have horses. For a little park the place does have things to do. I enjoyed my find. The park has a bridge that is just a walking bridge that takes you in a Circle to the onother side of the park back. They have signs all around the park. That read to wear masks at all time. I came across a inclosed section. It was like a greenhouse. No signs of what it was just that it was a project. It looked like a butterfly garden. It looked interesting. The park is cool. This park was named for state Rep. Elaine Gordon. She was Florida's leading voice behind the campaign to pass the Equal Rights Amendment which ultimately failed. She passed away in 2000. This a beautiful 22 acre natural oasis in the urban Miami that can make you forget you are in the city. Park facilities include a nature trail through the hardwood hammock, petting zoo, horseback riding lessons and pony rides, picnic pavilion, picnic tables, grills, overlook pavilion, boardwalk, restrooms, playground, and butterfly garden. There is a restroom and water fountain.The bridge to Arch Creek park directly across from it is currently closed. In 2017 leaders in the LBGTQ community unveiled a colorful sculpture by artist Alan Gutierrez is celebration of the pioneers of the movement. It is by the boardwalk that runs along the canal. Elaine Gordon's grandchildren represented her at the ceremony. I saw children in the park playing among the colorful tubes. The city hold a lot of events like bird watching, concerts, and nature tours of the park. On the park's website I saw a lot of listings for upcoming Halloween activities. During my hike around the park I saw a chimney from a house. I would love to learn more about it. Unlike it's neighbor Arch Creek park there doesn't seem to be a lot about the history of this park online. In any case this a wonderful spot for people who live in a city to get out and enjoy nature. read more

Once of the best parks in the area - there are multiple walking trails that you can take (make sure you bring the bug spray!) and there are also horses that you can ride. I believe they have also introduced a petting zoo as well. This is a great place to see native Florida wildlife and plants. This park has a lot to offer. Came here for a birthday party and found the pony rides and petting zoo. You can ride the ponies for $5 and you can pet the animals at the petting zoo also for $5. They have a pig, a donkey, and a horse. The park also has trails for bikes and walking. There's a nice bridge over water. It's a nice place to come hang out and relax. There are benches throughout under big trees that keep the are very breezing. There is free parking. You can rent out the picnic/gazebo area for parties. read more

Since Oleta Park was closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic; upon a quick google search, we came across this incredible park. Even though the Equestrian Farm was off limits and we couldn't take advantage of the pony rides, we did all of the bicycle/walking trails. Very few people since we came early and the staff kept reminding everyone to wear their masks. Lots of great photo opportunities due to the natural beauty around you. One of my favorite parks. We love bringing carrots and apples for the horses, feed and pet them. The Donkey is the smart one, he let's us feed him but not really pet him! On the weekends kids can ride ponies for $5 and horses for $10. The Park itself is gorgeous with a little pond and beautiful green trees. If you're lucky sometimes you can see parrots flying around. The playground is a little deeper in woods and it's a little scary to be there alone with kids, I wish it would be less private. read more

If you like being outdoors and hikes this place is great for that. Playground is very basic, no swings. Bring some balls and be creative as it's a big open space. No details about petting zoo listed anywhere and no one really seemed interested in helping figure it out, so we just looked at them and moved on. Oh how we love this park. Such a great spot where you can take a nice stroll across the bridge overlooking the water with turtles, you can visit the horses and petting zoo at HM equestrian center and if you walk further into the park, there are two playgrounds and a beautiful path for walking, with lush treetops providing ample shade from the hot miami sun. We only live a few minutes from this park, so it's the first place my son asks to visit as soon as he wakes up on a saturday morning. Great place for the whole family! read more

Just wanted to let everyone know that the pony and horseback rides are back! For kids, the pony rides are $5 for 5 minutes (so essentially, a dollar a minute). If you pay with a card, rather than cash, the minimum to charge on the card is $25. For adults, they offer horseback riding lessons, and these are $45 for 30 minutes of lessons. There's also an adorable potbellied pig named Slim on the property, near the ponies and horses. The park is currently in the process of setting up Halloween decorations, and they are using the bridge as a haunted house, so anyone wanting to bike ride or walk across the bridge will need to wait until after Halloween. On this particular occasion, I got to see the Musical Madman rehearsing their British folk songs in preparation for an upcoming show, so you never know what you might run into. The weather is cooling down, making it a perfect time to visit the park and enjoy the scenery (or in my case, the music, as well!). read more

I love this hidden gem of a forest. The trees surround and hide the sounds of the city and you truly feel like you are in a much larger forest. I love the nature trails and the bridge overlooking the river below full of turtles, fish and baby ducks. It's so cute. I didn't get to see the horses, it must have been too hot for them when I visited. They are building a butterfly garden. I can't wait to see what it looks like when they are complete. Having moved to North Miami from Miami Beach, we knew there would be some new and interesting things to see and do; we were never told about the wonderment and enchantment that is "Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park" though! This little slice of heaven just a few minutes on foot from our new home is a wonderful place for families, couples, nature lovers and just about anyone who has a desire to breathe in some fresh air and enjoy life! We first saw the park while driving to and from our home everyday and then one day saw a sign about a Halloween gathering. This is such a pretty little tucked away park! and its called the "Enchanted Forest"!!! How cool is that? The park is lush and green, usually not too crowded (it was pretty packed on Easter because they had egg hunts) and it has beautiful huge banyan trees, perfect to bring a blanket and just chill with your sweetie for a little while, or for picnics :) Like I said, there's tons of trees and its just a little oasis to get away that's beautiful place in the middle of our big city... AND.. there's a few bridges over a lake (or a river?) with a bunch of turtles. :) As for the bathrooms, they weren't too bad, for a park.. Anyways, I recommend this place. This place is beautiful; a hidden gem that I had no idea existed. Makes me wonder how many more parks are like this one that we all drive past daily. There's a nice bridge over water that looks like something out of a travel abroad magazine. Apparently there is a walking path that people use for exercise. I didn't get a chance to explore that much because I was working, we shot a music video there. Lots of spiders! Be careful where you walk, webs and insects everywhere. It's a nice place to come for a picnic, a bonfire, etc. We did see a bonfire pit. I'm not sure how it works there. I would assume that you would need to get permission. Since the MOCA was closed (by the way, what's up with that?!) .... here's a great way to spend a comforting hour if you're in the neighborhood. I came across it entirely by mistake after missing my bus stop and getting off later. I heard some great old R&B tunes from the road, and came across a family playing some great music in the park. I hung around to enjoy the peacefulness of the small trails. Be aware of all the spiders ... I came to think that's what all the "ENTER TRAIL AT YOUR OWN RISK" were referring to. A huge spider web every 2 feet on some trails. This park is so beautiful. I can't believe this gem is hidden in North Miami. I have yet to try the petting zoo or pony rides but just walking around the nature "trails" with my toddler is very engaging and therapeutic for the both of us. There is a small playground d here as well. Its not the best but it's serviceable. The real reason you will come here is to enjoy nature and spot the precious turtles in the man made lake. read more

Our 4 year old was riding (slowly trotting) a smaller horse with a 9 year old employee guiding the horse. At one point, her horse got startled by a bigger horse behind them and our 4 year old almost fell of the horse. Watching from the outside of corral was horrifying experience. This park is a hidden Gem tucked away US1 and NE 16th ave. It has lush trees and lots of animal life to you interested. A great place to take the kids for an afternoon and there is a playground in the back. It also boasts a horse stable where you can stand at the fence and pet horses or let the kids go for a pony ride. I love it after work to go for a jog as it has a paved walking path that is about 1/2 mile around. Often I just grab a sandwich and a book and head on over there to relax. read more

This park does not allow dogs. I didnt see the sign and brought my 2 pups which by the way are small and on a leash. They were sitting with me the whole time and didnt pee or poo.... When we were leaving this rude russian man came and threatened me infront of my kids. Telling me that I got a ticket for bringing dogs. I told him that i was not aware that I couldnt and he told me that its no excuse and that the only way was to fight it at court. I told him that the only person who saw me with the dog was him. OK park. Respite from city life for sure though. Short paved trails for walkin and runnin. Tropical foliage.... Only saw Ibis birds, not much other wildlife. Some water bottles and trash along the trail although I saw a staff member toolin around in a golf cart but doubt trash removal was his thing.
