Hello, There are no words to describe the incredible soul of Alexia Benz-Gardner (at MNS)! Nothing will do it justice! What I will say in this review will not be comprehensive or convey just how GREAT she is! I am a native New Yorker and have worked with several brokers in my lifetime, and no one and I truly mean, NO ONE, measures up to Alexia. Her professionalism, interpersonal abilities, and intelligence are unmatched. I have been in contact with Alexia over three years, hoping to secure an apartment (with strict income guidelines) in Long Island City, and finally in 2019 - I got the opportunity to obtain one, with Alexia at the helm. However, it did not happen overnight. The process (regulated by government guidelines) was thorough and time-consuming - as I had to provide countless documents to satisfy the requirements from the building's management (no fault of Alexia's). My stress levels could have easily gotten the best of me. It can be a nerve-racking experience. However, with the immense support of Alexia, I was able to stay focused and encouraged. She was prompt with every task, available to discuss each step/plan of action, easy to communicate with, and just made you feel like you were the only client she was attending to. That is a skill! Something you can't teach. I could not have been in better hands. I lucked out! I consider her my angel. I highly respect her for expertise and graciousness. I will always cherish and remember what she did for me. But that's not all, in the process, I was able to be blessed with her amazing vocals! She is an incredible singer! I first had the pleasure of meeting Jeff Vogel after inquiring about The Centra via a Street Easy application back in May of 2018. Since then, I've had an absolute wonderful experience throughout all my encounters, requests, etc with Jeff. It's only fair to him that I share my praise for him and all his impressive work. As a first time renter, and a recent graduate - Jeff created a seamless & professional process for the apartment showing, lease signing, terms etc. There were no loose ends, unanswered questions, or doubts throughout the process. He always made himself available during the slim time frames in which I asked to see the apartment, hop on a call, respond to email etc. We initially viewed the an unit on the Pent House floor - but it had a few issues which gave us hesitation. He immediately took me to another unit, determined to find us something that worked - that was the one. He was very understanding throughout the leasing process, thoroughly answered our questions and accommodated our requests. I've recommend several friends looking for apartments to Jeff and they've all mentioned similar experiences as the one I've described. Simply put, a kind, considerate man who truthfully has the renters interest at heart - not something seen everyday in this sort of work. Whenever I see him in the lobby, he's always smiling, happy to chat about our day, work, sports, etc. Again, not something I can say for other brokers in the city. I came across this company while searching for my 2nd apartment in early October of 2022 on the internet. I called & then got in contact with Ms Monifa who stated she works with voucher programs which is what I have (fheps). She didn't have that particular apartment I called about but she was very willing to hear me out on my wants with my voucher & what borough I wanted to live in. She definitely assured me if something came up she would keep me in mind & call me. Chile the phone call ended & I said all these realtors are too busy with cash paying clients to call me back & I have a damn voucher. I was wrong about this particular realtor. She actually called me back in November to arrange a meeting to see an apartment in Queen's! I saw it and immediately said I want it. She assured me the apartment was for my son & I. I have been looking for a luxury apartment for several months, but I have only been serious about it in the last month. The agent I was dealing with was Monifa and she was most excellent. I brought my parents to see the apartment and though we spoke a different language, Monifa was able gauge what what we liked and disliked. She cared about impressing my mom, but at the same time, when it came to points of contention where it was a matter of personal preference and given that I would be living the in the apartment, she had my back (brown parents are tough). We all left the tour feeling good and respected as human beings! Monifa listens attentively, responds sharply (yet nicely), gives off a positive, energetic vibe, and gives us space to think and form our own thoughts and opinions. She helped me prepare/package the documents to the third party background search agency/city to ensure the maximal chance of approval since the apartment I was looking to get was very selective and had a stringent requirements screening. She called me to give me updates throughout the application process. I got my #1 pick of apartments and I couldn't have been happier. Monifa Charles with MNS was nothing short of AMAZING. Courteous, professional, engaging, upfront, honest, and at every step of this process always in constant communication. My wife and I viewed a listing and building for which she was the listing agent. While my wife loved it, I wasn't 100% sold. Monifa offered to show us other listings and help us in our search. About two months later, we reached back out to Monifa and told her we were now both 100%. She laughed and asked what caused the change of heart. I'm writing this at the end of what was a smooth and successful application process. Here's why, Monifa consistently makes herself available to her clients and responds promptly despite being in high demand, and will really advocate to get you into a home that suits your needs. Monica and I met after another realtor missed our appointment (a blessing in disguise) and she promptly and gracefully stepped in to offer support and gave me a warm and detailed tour although she wasn't initially expecting me. The moment I walk in Alvista Tower Monifa started assisting me. Her help finding me an apartment was beyond words to describe. I've always wanted to move in Alvista Tower but the time I was ready, there was no apartment available. She showed me the best apartment and her tour in the building made me feel at home even before moving in this place. Before reaching her, I spoke to Helen about a unit in Jamaica Estates and she was very impatient and full of attitude.
